The Bar in Front of the Bar was an exceptional experience. We had the opportunity to sit at the bar and our bartender Dimitri was amazing. He explain each of the drinks to us and told us the story on why it was one the menu. The bar is currently number 27 on the list of the top 27 bars in the world and is themed around the boxing match Rumble in the Jungle. Drinks such as "Spit Bucket" and "Rope-a-Dope" grace the outstanding menu. This is a must stop when out for drinks in Athens.

While looking at the map of the area, I found this place that showed up as top 100 bars in the world so we decided to visit. We only had drinks outside since the weather was really nice. Both of us ordered from the special suggestions menu and both of us were thoroughly impressed by our drinks. While they were more expensive than other places you can probably find nearby, they also were special enough to warrant the price and they did not break the bank either. Cool place with great service and the inside looks really nice with an out of this world decor. Definitely worth a visit!!

Visited during the Athens Bar Show, when the whole industry was out exploring the city’s bar scene. Stopped for a drink at The Bar in Front of the Bar, ranked among the world’s Top 50, and it fully lived up to its reputation. Even standing outside, the vibe was energetic and authentic, packed with bar professionals and cocktail enthusiasts. A place that truly represents Athens’ creative cocktail culture — definitely worth a visit.

Love this place! The cocktails are incredible and the bartenders are super friendly. They share the story behind the bar, and even the cocktails each have their own unique twist. Definitely worth a visit if you have the time💗

Athens has a lot of good bars and this is definitely one of it! We came to this place twice, one in the afternoon and the other in the evening, the service was amazing! We tried some sprit, the cream, margarita and one more drink as well as the sando chicken sandwich. We loved everything! Definitely recommend

By far some of the best balanced creative cocktails we have had! The bartenders are masters in mixology and technique. The ingredients are a combination of quintessential Greek flavors and some pretty far fetched ones, especially in their unexpected place in the list of ingredients in a cocktail. I also had the chance to sample delicious Druids Cordials and I am a fan! To round off, the Greek hospitality elevated the whole experience this evening. A must visit if you are in Athens! Our favorite cocktails amongst the ones we tried were C.R.E.A.M and Ali Bomaye.

An amazing bar to visit,it’s not just that they are in the 50 best bars list they deserve it too. The bartenders that I met there were knowledgeable and very friendly and that means a lot. When I asked Dimitris for one shot of a particular amaro that I didn’t have tasted in my life (Amaro Nonino) he immediately started making a cocktail that it was one of the main ingredients the Paper Plane for those guys that know this particular cocktail and he served us shots to try it. That to me means quality behind the bar! Special shout out to Dimitris,Panagiotis and Nikos! Keep up the good work guys!

The only bar in Athens we went to twice. The staff was very friendly and capable. The drinks were delicious. My particular favourite was the Truffle Old Fashioned. I also had a Tangerine Martini which was very good (though less remarkable). My wife had a virgin mojito (they called it something else, but this was essentially what it was) and loved it. Happy to recommend. Sitting outside was a delight, and it was only after we were leaving (for the second time) that I discovered that "the bar in front of the bar" had a bar behind it 🤦 not sure we were the only ones, since it was busy outside and dead inside!
