Went to the Après LA: A Fairmont Century Plaza Chalet Experience last week and really enjoyed the wonderful cozy athmosphere. Seasonal cocktails and food options are premium priced and do not disappoint. Although we had to wait 15min for our reservation (it is very popular) service was friendly and attentive. Hotel Valet parking is the best option and cheap. Definitely recommend for a special occasion or to just get in the Christmas spirit!

I was extremely disappointed with my experience, particularly given the level of service I expected from this establishment. I had a confirmed reservation for the Après Ski Chalet experience at 9:30 PM on December 23rd. Although Los Angeles was under a weather advisory for rain, I proactively checked both my email and OpenTable and saw that my reservation was still confirmed. I also reviewed the FAQs, which stated that the chalets are covered and did not mention any cancellations due to inclement weather. Since I received no communication from the restaurant—and even received an OpenTable reminder two hours before my reservation—I reasonably assumed everything was proceeding as planned. Upon arriving, I was informed by the host that my reservation had been canceled and that all guests had supposedly been notified. I explained that I received no email, call, or message of any kind. A manager then came over and dismissively suggested that I “just have a drink at the bar,” without offering any form of compensation or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. The comment felt condescending and left me feeling embarrassed and unwelcome, which ultimately led me to leave rather than stay for an experience I was no longer excited about. What made this even more frustrating was that I Ubered specifically for this reservation, incurring time and expense, and was not offered any meaningful solution or goodwill gesture. I was told someone would follow up with me afterward, but I never heard back. This experience fell far below expectations, especially given the premium nature of the chalet experience. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously and considers offering compensation or a future chalet experience to make this right. I would like to give this place another chance, but this situation was handled poorly from start to finish.

Welcome drinks afforded from our stay at the Fairmont last June 2024. We wished that we had tried it sooner so that we could've come back as paying customers. The custom drinks were unique but still connected to the location and hotel identity. We were also serve complimentary nibbles that matched our drinks. The plating and presentation was elegantly displayed. Bar service were manned by two accommodating and friendly ladies who were very helpful to our questions. The bar is connected to an adjacent al fresco area and the interior lounge section of the hotel, providing ample private or social spaces. A nice touch was the live dj during the afternoon which had a great playlist matching the bright and beautiful interiors of the opulent area.

This is a really neat bar area located within the Fairmont Century Plaza. The room is very large, open, and beautiful. There was a crowd every night of our stay, and most nights had live music. This is a great, classy spot for a date night or a drink after work.

Chicest bar in LA! The modern setting with timeless elegance is the perfect spot to grab a cocktail. Plus if it's holiday - go to the Swiss Chalets, they are absolutely incredible. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
The Bar Benfiddich pop-up was an incredible experience, blending tradition and innovation in a way that only Tokyo's cocktail scene can. Suntory's spirit lineup--Toki Whisky, Maker's Bourbon, Hakushu Single Malt, El Tesoro Tequila, and Amaras Mezcal--created the perfect foundation for an unforgettable evening. Having Hiroyasu Kayama, the owner of Bar Benfiddich in Tokyo, as the lead bartender and guest of honor made it even more special. His approach to mixology is unlike anything else--part farmer, part ingredient curator, with a deep philosophical connection to his craft. Watching him and his team work with such precision and passion was mesmerizing. You could feel the excitement in the room, with fans eagerly savoring each creation. It was one of those rare nights where every detail came together perfectly--a true celebration of Japanese mixology at its finest

Yelp
Here for an event at the outdoor patio of the bar. Bar patio is nice, with heat lamps and fire top tables. The bar inside is also beautiful. Because it is pride month & a pride choral event, there is a lot of neat pride decor. Service is great & a great place to get drinks.

Yelp
I recently went to The Bar at Century Plaza with friends after hearing about their Swiss Chalet Dining Experience. The "experience" was horrid. Despite the decor looking like a Hobby Lobby shopping window, the overall experience left much to be desired. After waiting for over an hour, the food finally arrived, but was undercooked and room temperature. After requesting a replacement, the second dish was sub-par at best. For a $100+ prix fixe menu, the quality was embarrassing. This was not just a waste of money but also a waste of time. Though in great company, I truly wish I could take back those 2.5 hours and $160+ (including valet) and have spent that elsewhere. My holiday dinner will be memorable for all the wrong reasons.
