Good selection of cocktails however the ones we wanted were out of the homemade syrup so we had to try other cocktails on the menu. They were ok, nothing special. Atmosphere is really cool, great vibe and great service.

Very very cool place to go with your friends before you move to a nightclub

The Bar With No Name: A Plea to Preserve Its Soul ⭐⭐⭐ (3/5 stars) After 8+ loyal years at The Bar With No Name, I'm disheartened by recent changes since Simone left and new management took over. This wasn't just another Dublin pub - its house-like décor, alternative atmosphere, and exceptional cocktail menu (especially that unforgettable passion fruit caipirinha) made it truly special. Today, I found my favorite cocktails gone from the menu. The staff kindly made our passion fruit caipirinha when requested, but its absence from the menu signals a concerning shift. This matters because unique offerings attract unique people. By standardizing the menu, you risk becoming just another pub that could exist on any Dublin corner, attracting generic crowds rather than the distinctive clientele that built your reputation. The Bar With No Name has always been the place I proudly showed visiting friends - "You won't find this anywhere else." That exclusivity is your strength, not something to discard. This isn't a complaint but heartfelt feedback: your bar's character was built through years of distinctive choices. Honoring that legacy while evolving is possible. Please don't sacrifice what made this place extraordinary - Dublin has enough ordinary pubs, but only one Bar With No Name that we've loved for nearly a decade.

Up a flight of stairs is a tucked away bar with many sides. The first is a small dark room with some couches. The left side is outdoors with covered seating (still wet in certain parts) but cozy and tons of seating. Inside there's a large room with table and couch seating. This bar has a good vibe for chilling and hanging out. No loud music, peaceful. I got the no name cocktail for 15€ which was tasty but a quick drink. The egg whites created a fluff to the top.

Had a great evening here with friends. Great atmosphere with an open area. Definitely going to visit this place again.

Have always loved this bar but recently had the most delicious brunch there. The hollandaise was superb and the tacos super tasty. I really want to go back for all the amazing looking cocktails!! I was really impressed with their newly renovated outdoor area very cool! Staff as always super friendly and helpful!

Great night inside and outside this Bar. Really lovely clientèle and friendly bar staff. Impressive professional bouncers too. Bar staff made up a lovely drink for me. Loved sitting in the back for deep conversation and then up the front to partake in people watching and chat.

Google
The bartender asked me to shake the cocktails while making it. Drinks ended up half full after showing off to me. At the end he said he would rather me do that undressed (changing the wording due to not being able to post my review) I won’t come back here

Yelp
Highly recommend visiting if you're in the area. This bar is nicely tucked away from a lot of the tourist destination bars. Look out for the entrance or you might miss it! Great for both beer and cocktails. Watching the bartenders craft drinks was an art form. Service was attentive as well. Lots of great seating, both indoor and outdoor. We opted to sit outdoors on a mild November night which ended up being a really nice experience. It was pretty busy even on a Sunday night. If you're in the area, definitely add No Name Bar to your list!

Yelp
This place goes by two names, depending on if you are looking at Google Maps, or on Yelp. Google Maps calls it "The Bar With No Name" (and so do it's proprietors in the hotel above). But Yelp calls it "No Name Bar." Late at night, this is the place to be. The music is loud, the place is hoppin', and everyone is movin' and groovin'. It's LOADS of fun, I can't express that enough - but it DOES get packed! If you are staying in Kelly's Hotel up above it, you MUST visit at least once to see what all the fuss is and why your hotel room is rattling until 2 or 3 in the morning. They have DJs playing every Friday and Saturday "from 10pm until late" as it's billed on their website. It's connected to the hotel, so if you are staying there, you can just head down the stairs to enter. From street level, use the entrance with the snail hanging above the black door with the address number of "3" on the door. It's so easy to walk past and not notice it. The entrance is JUST past the sidewalk patio for L'Gueuleton.

Yelp
Read about this spot in a guide book and we were pleasantly surprised! The poutine absolutely stole the show -- but others in our party got the burger, chicken skewers, and Mac n cheese. Overall the main critique would be that the menu isn't wildly extensive food-wise. The space was quirky and fun. Would recommend!

Yelp
Well this place had no name, so I was all confused . We found the passage that lead to the restaurant for lunch. The service was very slow taking forever to get our drinks, take our order, bring out food, bring the bill and return to get the bill with credit card. Also, we sat outside as it was a nice day . We were all eating in the great weather and fresh air to have someone come out and sit next to us and chain smoke. Food was nice but not a place Id return to eat, maybe a drink inside.

Yelp
I really like this place, you feel like you are in somebidy's house actually! Their cocktails are amazing, i tried many of them and really loves all of them! There is a big terrasse as well which is cool and apparently (i haven't tried yet) they also do brunch now so.... Go discover that nice place!!

Yelp
"Forgive me Father of Hipsters for I have sinned. I am not cool and I should feel endless shame for that fact. I should also accept dismissive contact from cooler, prettier, thinner people that wear clothes that cost more than my wages but yet try to look cheap." "Go forth child to The Bar with No Name every Saturday night for your sins and rid your down to earth attitude." In some ways this is unfair of me as I am making this review based on personal preferences and on a particular day of the week so for that I will keep it at three stars. I really dislike crowds of people posing. I also dislike fighting for standing room, it puts me in a bad mood. But above all that I loathe being made feel less of a person by too cool for school bar staff - I especially hate paying for that privilege. I know, I know, I'm all old fashioned girl who likes warm service. I had my pint and made my excuses to the group and left. Maybe I should just stick to earlier in the day.

Yelp
YIKES, 40 euro for a bottle of prosecco. The sober me would have passed politely and ordered a pint or may be a glass of wine instead. The tipsy me, being pursued by my evenly tipsy friend: 'aaaaah, but it's such a nice sunny summer evening, ooooh prosecco is just so refreshing, mmmmmm, it's just what we need', thought it was a splendid idea. Sure, and why not order another bottle when bottle nr. 1 seemed to have gone and drank in the space of about 10 minutes. We managed a seat in the smoking area (victory! those are hard to come by!), so everything seemed to be in our favour. The next morning, looking at my bank balance reality hit me and I realised the celtic tiger kicked my ass (or my head-ouch, hello hangover!) Way, way overpriced. Gotta love the smoking area though (IF you get a seat)

Yelp
Amazing venue that attracts its masses of crowds simply by word of mouth, because it has no name, and as far as I know, does not employ any kind of marketing strategies. The venue is made up of several rooms which all open onto each other, and a pretty cool outdoor section. You really do need to time your visit here, because sometimes there is a huge queue to get in... weeknights are generally a better bet than weekends. You could easily while away an entire evening in the pleasant surrounds of No Name, it has the relaxing and laid-back vibe of a party in someone's living room. Be sure to check out the table in the 'lounge room' part - it is held up by wine bottles - so unbelievably cool! Personally I like to pull up a chair next to one of the large windows and alternate between people watching outside and inside the bar. A fairly well-dressed corporate crowd usually patronises this bar, but as long as you're fairly decently dressed you won't look out of place. Surprisingly the prices aren't too high here (from appearances they could be a lot higher) and you can pick up a lovely glass of wine for 6 euro. And what awesome wine glasses - very chic!

Yelp
I used to go to No Name back in 2008 as it still was kinda a hidden spot in the City Centre. With the years passing by it was getting busier and busier and the hunt for a good table made it to an obstacle course over busy weekend night and days. But with its still up to these days' best smoking area in Dublin and the new added GF Daura beer to their offerings I take the chance to pop in even over the busy weekend days. AS one just cannot beat the spacious loft indoor and outdoor area with those extremely comfi couches, circus tent style smoking area and relaxed atmosphere while enjoying some good chilled pints or cocktails in the heart of Dublin City centre .

Yelp
I used to always come here at night for drinks, and complain how crowded it is. But, did you know they serve brunch? Did you also know that it is one of the best brunches in Dublin? This might be Dublin's best kept secret, and I have just revealed it so listen up. The food here is delicious. My friends always order the pancakes, and I go for the eggs florentine with salmon. They have delicious guinness brown bread that I can have a full loaf of. They also do a roast of the day. Every time I tell the waiter I will order it next time, and every time I don't, and every time I get jealous of the table next door who orders it. Speaking of the staff, they are so friendly, and they remember you each time. Who needs that one place on Harcourt's reservations, or even that other one on George's street's reservations? No name bar to the rescue.

Yelp
Fade Street is a hopping street and this is a great spot for a cocktail or three :-) The staff are really nice and there's a nice atmosphere here. It does get pretty busy but we managed to grab a table and we got comfortable enough seats (the others were like seats you'd have sat on at school) Only reason this didn't get five stars is because of the strong smell of fresh paint.

Yelp
For once in my life I joined some co-workers for post work drinks on a weeknight! I had heard of no name but had no preconceptions or idea what to expect and yet I was pleasantly surprised. When you walk in and up the stairs it does not look like much but it is a beautifully decorated bar both inside and in the beer garden (they also have a giant big made out of wood and I was instantly in love) They have gluten free beer here (Daura) which is always nice! I did not have any food but the stuff I saw coming out of the kitchen smelled great and the presentation was on point AND they had a lady walk around offering people pretzels, not the little dry ones but real pretzels (damn you gluten). All in all I will be back to try food and take a selfie with that pig!

Yelp
The Secret Bar, officially named on the owners website. You can access 'The Secret Bar' directly from Kelly's hotel. 'The Secret Bar' is named so, as the bar was never really given a name when it first opened. A number of names have served the bar thus far including 'The Bar With No Name', '3 Fade Street' and 'The Snail Bar' and that's the best way to find it (see photo). Suffice to say, since opening over a year ago, 'The Secret Bar' is anything but a secret. At weekends the bar is particularly busy, serving, artists, rock n rollas...and plethora of others besides. 'The Secret Bar' is famous for its mojitos, and at weekends serves up a mean brunch menu. Depending on your mood this bar can be great if you want to look at other people and prowl or be looked at by other people. If not then this is not the bar for you. Large smoking area at the rear of the bar (which is situated on the 1st floor of what seems to be a number of Georgian houses knocked together). Stayed in the comfortable smoking area for a whole night one of the last times I was there. Not as good idea as I smoked to much and felt poisend the next day. Totally my own fault.

Yelp
I didn't know what to expect with no name bar and i think its safe to say i would have never found it if i wasn't guided there by my friends. We were on a pub crawl where everyone wanted to try somewhere new so this place came up as a suggestion and we went for it. Guaranteed you will pass this place many time before realizing the random door can open to a stair case where you go to the second floor and there it is. The cool, trendy space known as no name bar. It has the perfect amount of people in there as well as it isn't touristy so people there have to have heard about it somewhere! Conveniently directly across from an equally trendy tapas restaurant, this location is great. The drink was typical Dublin prices around €5.50 a pint. They do cash back. They have a huge selection of wine, beer, spirits and the space was awesome. We sat at the bar in the side room but there was a large smoking area, a lot of smaller rooms to have an intimate drink or a girls night as well as a large main room with lots of couches. There is a second bar with a stellar picture of the pool beg chimneys. I think i found my new chill out spot... looking forward to going back!

Yelp
Seating is tight, eve for a duo after 9pm- so be prepared to stand or hover over a spot if people look like they are leaving soon. Cocktails are nice but rather expensive, even for big city standards, for a beer and an old fashioned it ran us about €14, the cocktail being €11 on its own. Staff was friendly, but curt. Would I go out of my way if in Dublin again? Probably not unless I had a reason to.

Yelp
This is one of the coolest bars I've ever been to. I'm normally one for elaborate reviews, but words can't really paint the picture because there is nothing much else like this place. You've got to check it out if you're in Dublin. I had a pint here in the afternoon, and it was laid back, but I went with a friend around 11pm the next night and had the time of our lives. It's such a cool spot, and despite the fact that we made new friends with a group of Lithuanians, a bunch of frat bros from Ohio, as well as a gaggle of Irish folks, it is certainly no tourist trap---this place is really awesome.

Yelp
"Tarquin! Get me a bottle of Heiny!" "But Cacá Milís I thought you were still on that no carb diet?" "Ya well Fuinneog is on a new diet and it's all beer and cubes of cheese" Not an actual conversation I have heard but a likely one..... Oh look it's the Bar With No Name or the Snail Bar or a-hole central. You choose. OK this place is grand when it's early enough. The smoking area is EPIC. Staff are pretty nice. Drink is over priced but in fairness so is Hogan's next door (and I love that place).... If you are here early the crowd is actually fine. I'm here regular enough as some of my friends do seem to like the place. It wouldn't be my first port of call but to each their own. The later it gets, the fuller it gets and the more a-holes it gets. But if you do prefer your collars to be up whilst wearing a polo shirt then you would probably enjoy this. Oh oh oh and one thing that realllly irritates me is the toilet situation. "I need to pee" "OK see ya in twenty minutes!" The mens toilets are far away and up lots of stairs and there is one cubicle, a couple of urinals and the place is more narrow than the mind of a Republican Evangelist from South Carolina.

Yelp
"We should go to The Bar With No Name for one. They have Havana Club. Fact." This was the text message that kicked off a night of about six rum and cokes. We fell in love with the stuff in Central America but it's not available just anywhere, which makes us appreciate it all the more. The Bar With No Name is what quick-thinking folk call this pub on Fade Street because it's a bar. With no name. It's otherwise known as The Snail Bar as there's a cute carving of a snail hanging outside. The bar staff are efficient and the smell of freshly crushed mint puts cocktails in mind. The clientele are pretty polite. Three guys motioned for me to order first as I'd been there before them. This would be unheard of in many another busy Dublin watering hole. Drinking in this bar is akin to having a few bevvies in a large, high-ceilinged, atmospherically lit sitting room. People chat in groups and don't bother much with what's going on around them. If mingling is what has you out in your glad rags, head to the sizeable smoking section, which resembles a circus tent. Smokers will approach you for a lighter, or to ask if you think it's possible to pull a muscle whilst eating a salad, or to tell you that when you walked in, the whole landscape of the place changed. I asked if that was some cheesy chat-up line and he apologised for being abstract, wondered if I was pretentious, and offered to smoke the remainder of his cigarette with his back turned... At about one am, we wandered around a few other pubs but that seductive snail trail led us right back where we finished off our night in this mysterious untitled bar.

Yelp
Went here last night with an icon of the Dublin live theatre scene, got in a serious conversation with a Cuban woman about hopes for US-Cuban relations, got in a silly conversation with a tall brunette about hillwalking and s'mores, found a new Facebook Friend and the whole time the buzz and the vibe just got better and better. It's got that "We're cool enough that we don't have to act cool" level of chatter, people seem to be actually hanging out with friends and having fun vs. posing for the paparazzi in their heads, and hey, who doesn't love a place with a giant snail??? Bottom line: Cherchez l'escargot!!

Yelp
Ah, 3 Fade Street. Or The Bar with No Name, Kelly's, The Snail Bar: whatever you choose to call it, it's a wonderful place, with excellent cocktails and one of the finest outdoor areas in the city. Really, there are two versions of this bar: the quiet weeknight bar and the insanely packed weekend one. On a weeknight, this place is the perfect venue for high-quality mixed drinks from skilled and knowledgeable staff. Odds are they can make your cocktail, whether it's on the menu or not. On one occasion, a friend was served slightly different versions of the same drink by different staff members- and one gets the impression that that's because the well-trained staff might have different ideas on how to practice their craft. The outdoor terrace is usually pretty calm during the week, and is perfect for a quiet summer drink. Weekends, though, are a different beast. On Friday and Saturday nights, the bar is packed to the rafters with young professionals, and while the same quality bar service exists, it's under a lot more pressure, and it might simply be easier to stick to quickly-poured pints by the time you fight your way to the bar. There's little chance of a seat, and you might find yourself outside whether you like it or not (but the covered, heated area is well equipped for shelter). Luckily, the atmosphere is fantastic when the bar is this full. The tight confines of the bar make it very sociable in a crowded sort of way, and for some reason, it works well in a way that so many other busy spots just don't manage. So, pick your poison: midweek quiet cocktails or a frantic and fantastic Saturday night. Either way, if you haven't been here, it's time to correct that. (And I prefer to call it Kelly's).

Yelp
I love the concept of a hidden bar, speakeasy style. We have a few of them in Paris so I was curious to see the Dublin version. I love the fact that from the outside, it looks like a regular entrance, there's no sign on the street so you can easily miss it. Cocktails were good, Billy Idol and Guns 'n' Roses were playing in the background, everything was on point for a lovely evening!
google avatar

Clarice W.

Yelp
I feel so special to know about this place. Because it has no name it makes me think of a really cool apartment party in New York. I was meeting some friends here, but I didn't know where here was until my friend text me saying that she didn't know the name of the bar, just that it is on Fade St. and there is a huge snail hanging above the door... I couldn't help but think, "She doesn't know the name because she has had a cocktail too many." But she was dead on. Pints were 5 euro and the smoking area is amazing because there are benches that go all the way around with pillows to lean on. This place is cozy and spacious at the same time and definitely not your old man's pub!
google avatar

Val L.

Yelp
Hipster place! Yay! Actually less hipster than I was told. The beer garden is the most interesting part of this bar. Not so many beer options but cool spirits in their menu. Obs: some of my friend had trouble in finding this place (what would they expect, it a secret bar! ). So my tip is: if you are right in front of the Market Bar turn around and you see a set of stairs on the other side of the street. Go upstairs. That's the place!
google avatar

Bryan B.

Yelp
I loved having a pint at the Bar With No Name. It's perfectly located if you're in the city centre since it's only a 2 minute walk from Grafton St. You'll probably be surprised by the layout since the place is basically an old hotel that has had a lot of the furniture ripped out (at least that's what my impression was). The layout is nice and there seems to be a few areas where large groups can hang out. Overall the atmosphere was pretty mellow since I was there on a Tuesday night but can imagine it gets packed on a weekend. Will definitely head here again next time I'm in Dublin.
google avatar

Katie G.

Yelp
Very crowded... but the bartenders are fantastic. Having met many of them personally at Kelly's Hotel next door, you're going to get excellent service. Again, it does get crowded, but the decor is wonderful and it's a fun place to say you've been.
google avatar

Ellen O.

Yelp
Why are there so many staff in this bar? I ordered a Bulmers and a gnt and two people fulfilled my order! They don't serve southern comfort or fanta here so when I went to quench my craving for this drink, the barman was apologetic but also engaged in some banter. It's nice that at least the staff are sound! I've always enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere here and the beer garden/smoking area is lovely. The toilets are a bit dingy but it's Dublin city centre, at least they work!
google avatar

Dave S.

Yelp
Yes, it's true this bar has no name. Located across the street from the busy Market Bar, the Bar With No Name is a great find (look for a wooden snail above the entrance) on Fade Street. The Bar With No Name feels like you're attending a trendy house party. It consists of several rooms with tall Georgian ceilings. There are 2 bars and an outdoor smoking area. Crowd is in their 20s/30s and fashionable for Dublin. A great place for a few cocktails. Get there early to snag a table.
google avatar

Quentin D.

Yelp
16.90 for two drinks!??? (and that is one coke and two shorts)... A little pricey for my blood! However, it is a nicely laid out place with a tremendous smoking area and a good sort of crowd, that makes up for a lot. Still won't be rushing back though!

Yelp
I learned about this place from Yelp, and was dying to check it out after reading the glowing reviews. It sounded just like my kind of place, hip, low-key, good vibes, etc. When I finally did stop in, I enjoyed myself but was somehow let down. I thought the layout was good, and the seating was excellent. I imagine on a Friday or Saturday you'd want to arrive early to snag a spot though. The outdoor patio was fantastic and on my second visit there was a live band entertaining out there. The prices aren't low, but normal for the area; a glass of white wine and a pint of Paulaner cost 11.50 for example. The vibe is chill and the atmosphere is nice. You probably won't find a ton of 18 year-olds with big heels and bigger hair queuing up for this place, which is probably why a lot of people love it. So what's not to like? Well it's hard to put my finger on. I guess I just felt like they could have done more with such an interesting space. Instead if feels like they took an empty room, put a bar and some furniture in it, hung some (really ugly) light installations on the walls and threw up the open sign. I honestly think if they did a little more to the interior it could really be a memorable place.
google avatar

Alison M.

Yelp
I like the Snail Bar for weeknights. It's the perfect place to go for casual drinks and conversation. In my mind, it's always a sure thing with good music levels and nice seating. The terrace is lovely for groups too. What is with that giant wooden pig carving? On Saturday nights the place was packed so if you're up for a crowd it's probably great then too. Also, they have a good cocktail menu. I tried a friend's negroni and it was delish! At €10 though, I usually stick to Paulaner.
google avatar

Alexandra M.

Yelp
On a nice summer's day, the Bar with No Name is the ultimate place to be.With its refreshing Mojitos and its rooftop terrace, this cocktail bar beckons the thirsty wanderer in. Situated off the beaten track on Fade Street, you might miss it as there is no sign to indicate its location. Instead a wooden snail hangs above a doorway and curious patrons are asked to climb the stairs to the second floor where the bar is located. Still relatively unknown, it attracts an eclectic crowd, from the office nine-to-fivers to the local trendsetters. The bartenders will give you an unimpressed nod as you order your drink, but don't be deterred: their indifference is part of the atmosphere. Although No Name Bar is a tad expensive, it has sophistication and intrigue to offer.
google avatar

Antonio P.

Yelp
Unique! I think it is my favourite pub in Dublin from now on, awesome music, awesome decoration, great beers and the impossible here in Dublin, an uncrowded pub to speak an to listen. Don't hesitate and go to this pub, if you can find it.
google avatar

Slim D.

Yelp
Located just off the ever busy George's Street, 3 Fade Street which is also locally called No Name because of the lack of signage and The Snail Bar due to a wooden carved snail hanging over the door is a fantastic place to visit if you haven't already been there. Managed by reputed Brazilian mixologist, Mr. Rafael Agapito, the cocktail list is professional and cool. The bar itself is built in an old style, high-ceilinged apartment so consists of a few rooms. They also have a large-ish covered smoking garden with heaters during the winter. The staff are friendly and professional but have that edge of coolness too which gives this place it's finer quality and attrats the beautiful chic crowd it holds. Definitely a stop on a cocktail pub crawl. Tell Rafa that Slim sent you, it drives him nuts! :P

Yelp
I went there yesterday (Aug. 24, 2014) with two friends for Brunch. We liked the original setting and although the place was empty, we were glad to settle in. However, after looking at the menu, we ended up leaving since we did not find even one vegetarian option (e.g., a vegetable omelette; how hard is that?) among the ten brunch options they offered. I politely explained to the waiter (a pleasant chap) why we ended up leaving and that would have been it if it wasn't for the intervention of one of the other employees, a lady who appeared to be a manager or supervisor of the bar. She behaved in the rudest way i have yet encountered in an Irish restaurant: upon hearing that i left because they had no vegetarian brunch option, she waved her arms at me dismissively saying scornfully 'then go somewhere else... go, go, good luck finding it in another place' and more... The issue isn't that they don't have a vegetarian option; the issue is that an employee (manager?!) chose to go out of her way to insult a customer; as far as i could tell, this could have happened for any of many reasons. Never going back there!

Yelp
This place is great, has a great vibe, kind of reminds you of a very posh student party house!! it was probably better (aka you could get a seat!) when very few people knew about it, but it still plays great music, and they make the best mojitos in Dublin which are quite reasonably priced..!
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic cocktails! My favourite is the Gin Daisy! Very popular spot on a Friday night. I actually wish there was more space, as the music was fab! Outdoor seating area also looks fantastic, and has plenty of seating!

Yelp
*** This is a brunch review! The bar itself I give a review of 'yeah, it's alright, though often so crowded that you can't hear yourself think' *** Now, on to brunch... What is more upsetting than a disappointing brunch? Well, if I'm being honest, lots of things. But a disappointing brunch is really unpleasant, too. Imagine: It's a weekend day, early afternoon, the whole world opens up in front of you! You're in Dublin, a city with no shortage of brunch options, you're ravenous, the meal has been carefully selected. Your anticipation levels are high. The blood circulates through your veins a little quicker as you review menu items. You're gonna get into that brunch. You're gonna own that brunch. This was my mindset last weekend. The ambiance in No Name was ideal for brunch... lots of natural lighting, high ceilings, couches and large tables. Though things starting going down hill quickly after arrival. The service was slow. Like, slower than slow considering there were only four other tables eating brunch. The menu looked delicious, with all food done up by L'Gueleton downstairs, so I was hoping this would redeem the slow service. Unfortunately, the slow service proved to be the nail in the coffin. It took one hour to receive the food, which was cold by the time it arrived. Items came out in batches (a solid five minutes between plates). I could hear the couple next to us complain that they had been there even longer than we had and hadn't received their order (which led me to believe that they had been cryogenically frozen and then thawed because we had been there forever). The staff, while rhetorically pleasant, were less than concerned about the speed with which things arrived and forgetful. All in all... it was disappointing. Who wants cold poached eggs when there are so many other great places to brunch? Not this girl. I won't be brunching here again.

Yelp
Gorgeous bar that resemble a lot like a house hosting a party. The smoker's lounge has a quite "circus" vibe, with its striped roof and rustic walls, and the other rooms definetely reminds us of a real house, just with less furniture. It's pretty crowded on weekends, so I would recommend you to avoid those days so you can actually see the decor and just chill out there, it's definitely worth a visit! I would recommend attending it with a date or some close friends, because the place is really amazing to just chill and talk to your friends, because it's quite a nice spot, not a party hard place. but... since nothing is perfect... the drinks there are quite expensive, so if you are in a budget, (which happens to me all the time), take one drink or maybe two. the pints are temple-bar priced, which is not cheap but still cheaper than the cocktails/shots.

Yelp
Like the smoking area, like the bar, but what i really like it is the caipirinha, i'm always suspicious when i see my native drink being made outside brazil, but here is a place that they keep the essence of the caipirinha with a really good cachaça and a good bartender

Yelp
Awesome place! Definitely a local, hipster vibe. Was very different from many other bars/pubs I went to. Loved this place!

Yelp
I know this place as the snail bar and I love it. It's different from all the other bars in Dublin and really it's just like having a few drinks in someones trendy house. Its supposedly one of the best kept secrets in town but judging from the crowds over the last few weekends, the secrets been let out. You'll have to get there early to get a seat but there's usually plenty of standing room. I love the layout of the bar with numerous spots to rest your drink and have a chat with friends, the staff are great and very friendly, the prices are a bit steep but the music is good. They might need to put some decorations on the Xmas trees though. They were a bit bare last weekend.

Yelp
Great place to stop for a beer in the middle of Dublin! We stumbled upon his place, it was more of a club vibe then your typical hole in the wall bar with Irish music! Still a fun place to stop

Yelp
The most awful place in Dublin city centre ever!!! We dropped in at this place last Saturday. It was overcrowded inside and it smelled, sorry, of spew. We decided to go to the terrace to have just one drink. We waited for our cocktails for ages, which by the way tasted below the average. We just started to drink them as one security guard approached one guy from us, grasped him in a rude manner and chucked him out of the bar. To say that we were shocked is to say nothing because our guy was all the time with us, wasn't drunk and didn't commit anything unacceptable. We all left our drinks and went out to find out the reason. But, when we asked each security guard (it were 3 of them) for explanations, we weren't given any answer. These gorillas just were standing silent looking at us and than asked us all to leave. What????!!!!! WTF!!?? For the moment I couldn't believe it all is happening in Europe, in Ireland. I don't understand why this place with such a poor service and staff who doesn't respect its guests is so popular? Probably they think because of a advantageous location they can forget about hospitality, quality of service and drinks and take guests for granted. So, I definitely recommend to avoid this place!

Yelp
Cool, calm and always collected, a shaky table in this hipper than hip (but seriously fun) bar is never a bad idea. Explaining it can be tricky, and finding it can be tough the first time around, but I've always loved it here for an after work bevvie with the girls. Once happy hour rolls in things get very busy, and that fun vintage bar stuck in the corner suddenly seems about 10 miles away, but don't worry. The professional staff aren't making getting your drinks a popularity contest and I've always gotten prompt service when on my round. And with the fun art on the walls, silky low lighting and all those comfy couches, the feel here is as casual and fun as the name (or... lack of a name) suggests!

Yelp
friendly staff and chic, comfortable surroundings make The Bar With No Name a regular of this reviewer. The rest rooms are clean and fresh. Attracts a happy eclectic mix of customers. I do not drink alcohol and it's coffees are tasty. One of it's main features has to be the part of the bar where smokers are permitted, very chic and comfortable and under a circus big top awning!

Yelp
Great bar with a "house party" vibe. Everyone here seems very friendly and willing to join in on a conversation or dance-off. The prices are pretty high, which seems to be the only downside. They also serve brunch here, to which the eggs benedict was good (nothing special). Again, a little pricey, but a nice spot to spend the night or drop by before heading to another venue.

Yelp
Go here for a drink while you're waiting for a table in L'Gueuleton or stay here for your night out before dancing later. I had heard of "The bar with no name" and that it was like having a pint in a sitting room. When I got there I discovered it's much cooler than that. I heard that it was just an empty apartment above the restaurant and because the queues were so big, they decided to open the bar. It's very trendy, has a funky crowd and is one of the cool places to go at the moment. The only problem is that it's all little rooms so it's a bit disjointed, makes it good fun trying to find your friends!

Yelp
This is probably my favourite bar in the city. It has an awesome smoking area that is fully covered and rustic bare walls - for some reason it feel circus like circus. All the furniture is extremely comfy when you get a chance to sit on it, because it's always so packed. The staffs are pretty cool, and the tunes are varying in awesomeness. Overall a great bar, good music and a great crowd.

Yelp
If you were a hip trend-y bar that opened just as the Celtic Tiger were going over a cliff and then ended up as a modern equivalent of a pub - a quiet place to have a nice drink, just with modern lighting and all blond wood, you'd be the no name bar. They have: Guinness (€4.80) Smithwick's Paulaner A range of crappy lagers A big range of cocktails. wifi for free, though it's a bit annoying as it's the kind you need to get the code from the bar guy and log in each time - come on! Now, here's the thing I love about this place, beyond the mismatched chairs and the simple tables which all add up to a little tatty, a little IKEA, but a little kind of cool: the cocktails. I haven't had them, but this is how they read: Negroni Tom Collins Old Fashioned See what I've done there? They don't havea "Negroski, which is our house take on the Negroni, using artisanal vodka made from unicorn tears". They just have normal bloody cocktails, which are harder and harder to find. Negroni: Martini Rosso, Campari, Gin. That's it. The staff are nice & reasonably efficient. The crazy Jameson painting behind the bar sort of needs to go, though.
