I had an amazing stay at the Barat Perhentian Resort! The resort offers stunning views of the ocean, and the food is really delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. I went diving during my stay, and the ocean was so clean—I saw a variety of sea animals, which made the experience even more memorable. The room was comfortable, with super cold air conditioning and a fan to keep the space extra cool. I also appreciated the separate toilet and shower, which made things more convenient. The only minor downside is that the sand isn’t as white as I expected, but it’s a small thing compared to everything else this beautiful resort has to offer. Highly recommend for a relaxing and fun getaway!

Stayed here fo r4 days 3 nights. Overall my family is satisfied with our stay. Bed and pillows are comfy. Warm water n aircond are working fine. We always eat at mama restaurant next door as the price is cheaper. There is also a malay lady selling all sorts of food for breakfast in front of the jetty.

The rooms were not good at all according to the price they are charging. The rooms had a distinctive smell and inside the toilet as well. The restaurant is also really overpriced and not worth it. Overall the reception staff were very friendly and the dive centre staff was also very helpful. I think you can find better resorts.

It might seem convenient, but it’s not worth it—especially if you have specific dietary needs. The meals offered don’t cater to all diets, and you might end up spending more if you can’t eat certain items. Plus, just a short walk behind the hotel’s restaurant, you’ll find local “mamas” offering tastier and more affordable food options. Overall, while the location is fantastic and the staff pleasant, the meal packages and housekeeping services are disappointing

Place is beautiful, but I got terrible food poisoning from the food at this hotel. Could not eat or sleep, threw up five times and had serious diarrhea for 3 days. I would not wish this on my worse enemy. Room toilet was terrible and floor was wet when we first entered. Smelled terribly of sewage. the electricity kept going out as well…

We had a fantastic stay at the Barrat with a large group, booking multiple rooms, all of which were clean and well-organized. The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from the beach. We visited off-season and there were only a few other small groups, the area has so much to offer that we barely noticed anyone else. Highly recommend for its convenience and proximity to attractions like diving, snorkeling, etc ...
