I had a very disappointing experience during my stay here.
Firstly, the transportation from the jetty to the hotel is unsafe. The pick-up truck, which should only accommodate four people, was overcrowded with seven passengers (four in the cabin and three in the luggage area). When I raised this issue with the reception, they justified it by citing high fuel/diesel prices, thus compromising customer safety.
Additionally, the check-in and check-out times are unusual and inconvenient. Check-in is at 2 pm, while check-out is at 10:30 am, which deviates from the standard 11 am or 12 pm check-out times. The staff claim that this is necessary to clean the rooms for new guests. However, the rooms were not clean upon arrival—bed sheets were unchanged, and the toilets were visibly dirty. This raises the question of why early check-out is required if the rooms are not properly cleaned.
The food payment system is also very stupid. The hotel uses a voucher system, but the prices are exorbitant and inconsistent. For instance, a jug of cordial drink costs RM 50, and a plate of nasi lemak with a tiny piece of chicken wing is RM 25. The quality of the food is poor, and the vouchers rarely cover the cost of a meal, forcing guests to pay extra to add in more food.
Overall, my experience was terrible. The staff were unfriendly, and there was a noticeable double standard in treatment, with Europeans or white guests receiving better service.
