The Barn Café Rosenthaler Platz

The presentation of their drinks is just perfect. Photogenic Matcha and Latte. It also has a nice view to the street, great to chill and watch the bustling Berlin go about its business.

The coffee was indeed excellent. I had a flat white with oat milk. It was strong yet smooth in flavor, and it looked great. The service was quick. However, the atmosphere seemed more suited for laptop users, and the location is quite busy. It's easily accessible right by the Rosenthaler Platz metro station. I’d like to try other locations.

The Barn is an institution in Berlin. I only had a Flat White, thus, cannot speak to the Food Options they are serving. The coffee was good. I also like to highlight the nice service and friendly staff.

To avoid. Just extremely overpriced average coffee, and hot chocolate tasting like Colacao. No bathroom. Great service.

Dishes (- negative / = ok / + positive): + good espresso: rather on the acidic side with a nice fresh citric flavor, so I need to add sugar to balance the taste; likely goes well with cappuccino where the milk balances the acidity + free tap water Service: + friendly service = asked the waiter to clean my table, but to be honest I also jumped into the seat as soon as another guest left Price: - higher priced espresso at €2.9 for Berlin Atmosphere: + modern nice coffee shop interior with matching relaxed music + clean + good chain alternative to the big US competitor - weak WiFi My rating system - I focus on the food first and foremost. I aim to be truthful and try not to be biased by friendly service or other circumstances. 5*: excellent - I am rigorous in handing out 5* ratings 4*: good 3*: ok 2*: bad 1*: terrible

If you’re in Berlin, this coffee place is a must-visit! The staff here are incredibly friendly and always make you feel at home. And the coffee—hands down, the best I’ve ever had! Every cup is perfectly brewed and makes for the perfect start to the day. The food and sweets are also top-notch, with something delicious for everyone. I can’t imagine coming to Berlin and not stopping by every morning. Fun fact: the first time I experienced Barn was actually in Amsterdam, where I was working right next to their shop, and it wasn’t until later that I realized it’s originally from Berlin. So glad I finally got to experience it here! Highly recommend!

I love this coffee place. The hand batch coffee was the best, and so nicely presented. The pastries and cakes were so good and very fresh. A big thanks to the team who made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend for the best coffee in Berlin.

I don’t understand why this Barn cafe has less than four stars. To me, the location is perfect, as you get to see directly to the street whilst enjoying your filter cafe. The staff were nice and welcoming. Of all the Barn cafes in Berlin, I’d easily pick this one as my favorite!!
