The Barn Café Rosenthaler Platz

The Barn is a coffee lover’s dream! Their espresso is absolutely outstanding. Rich, perfectly balanced, and full of flavor. Every sip is a delight. The café has a sleek, cozy vibe, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Whether you’re grabbing a quick cup or relaxing for a while, it’s a top-notch spot. Definitely a 5-star experience for anyone serious about great coffee!

Without a doubt one of the best coffees in town. Good place to get some yuppie work done lol. Just found the serving size in comparison to other cafes quite disappointing tbh…

I have no idea why this place has such bad reviews! This is actually one of the good The Barn spots. Maybe people confuse it with the one at Hackescher markt (that one is bad and better to avoid) The flat white was great from the very good beans and the sevice was great!

The coffee is in this place is really great. In my humble opinion, charging 5,90 for 200ml of espresso tonic is also quite humble. I believe that this is the smallest espresso tonic I have ever seen in my life. I will enjoy it with some regret.

The presentation of their drinks is just perfect. Photogenic Matcha and Latte. It also has a nice view to the street, great to chill and watch the bustling Berlin go about its business.

The barista was welcoming and served the drinks quickly, which I appreciated. However, I noticed that when preparing espresso-based drinks, including mine, the barista did not remove the water from the portafilter at all. For a specialty coffee company, this can have a very negative impact on both consistency and quality. Since the bar is completely open and everything is visible, I sincerely hope this will be improved.

Was not offered receipt whereas the waitress did for the next customer. I got 3 napkins just one cookie. Feels like the waitress simply doesn’t care about working here for the company or for the customer. I like the peanut butter and jam cookie (3.5 euro) though I cannot tell what jam it is. Just watch out when you eat. It crumbles everywhere.

The coffee was indeed excellent. I had a flat white with oat milk. It was strong yet smooth in flavor, and it looked great. The service was quick. However, the atmosphere seemed more suited for laptop users, and the location is quite busy. It's easily accessible right by the Rosenthaler Platz metro station. I’d like to try other locations.
