The Barn Café Hackescher Markt

This was my most expensive speciality double espresso in Berlin. They charged extra for more fruity Ethiopia. Otherwise you can get cheaper Brasilia. This is where all speciality Coffee culture in Berlin started with the Barn. However now it's very busy mostly with tourist. In Sunday afternoon it was calm, lady behind the bar was very nice and sweet. Yes it's more pricey here as this brand it's now world famous, but still worth to visit. Otherwise just open coffee trip Europe app I tour phone and explore other coffee place that this city offers. Only one negative thing is terrible rubbish outside. That's a thing I can get it. Why this city is so dirrty? 🙁

Whenever I travel to Berlin, the Barn Cafe is always my #1 spot for a good coffee! Great service, beautiful simplistic aesthetic look that allows for an enjoyable time there and of course - specialty coffee with a good choice of beans. Definitely recommend if you are a specialty coffee lover!

Kind service, great matcha, and a good place to get work done in the heart of Mitte. They also sell coffee and matcha for takeaway.

The atmosphere is nice, coffee was bitter and over extracted. I used to buy the barn beans back in Canada, so I thought it won't hurt to give it a visit on my trip. Coffee was way over extracted and bitter. Flat white temperature was not right either. Overall, a very poor experience. I could not drink my coffee after the second sip. It looks like when specialty coffee becomes franchised, its no longer special!
