"The original Café Kranzler was opened in 1894 and was known for its elevated sun terrace, smoking room, and ice cream parlour. Today it boasts an incredible view of Kurfürstendamm and on the right day, an opportunity to take in the rare German sun while drinking some of Berlin's finest direct trade specialty coffee.
If you're looking for a place to soak in some of the city and relax, get here early. The café fills up fast as its location is prime, the coffee is amazing, and the staff are friendly and eager to talk about all things coffee. Quite possibly the coolest café in Berlin when it comes to architectural dreaminess." - Meryl Vedros
Very interesting. Just wanted a cup of coffee to take away for a walk, but needed up staying.
Store: 5* clean
Staff: 5* very friendly staff. I normally don’t greet in English but apparently I stick out like a tourist, so I was greeted 1st in English so I proceeded. I asked about their coffee, their specialty and what’s good. I ended up with an espresso flight since I can’t make up my mind.
Coffee: 5* very flavorful, good job! I’m not into sour but not judging on my preference, purely on the quality of beans and taste.
Food: didn’t order any
Would I come back? Most definitely. Way better coffee than the regular standard stuff you would find at your hotel or Starbucks.

Clara is one of the kindest and funniest baristas I've ever met. She made a perfect Cortado. Location wise it’s also perfect. My second favourite Barn after Checkpoint Charlie.

Love the atmosphere here! Been a regular for a while now and the service is always so sweet. Tutku is a legend—not only makes a killer coffee but the latte art is always on point. If you want a proper brew and a friendly face, this is the place to be!

The coffee is absolutely perfect. I love coming here because the staff is super kind and polite and takes care to explain the different types of coffee to you. Many different tasty and quality coffee. It stands out the atmosphere, order and cleanliness. The best in Berlin.

Excellent service and beautiful coffee art!
Every time I visit Potsdamer Platz, I’ll make sure to stop by The Barn. Nina was absolutely amazing — super friendly, professional, and made me feel really welcomed. She even created an awesome design on my coffee that made the experience extra special. Thank you, Nina, for the great service and artistic touch!

if it's your first visit to Berlin, this tiny cafe is great for coffee. It’s a great experience because of the location and lovely atmosphere and staff, but the coffee was good not perfect, and the cake wasn't as good as expected.

The service was so nice and quick, all three girls working were so pleasant and helpful. My drinks were really well made, they even made my cup warm before giving me my tea. Props to the girls for doing such a good job, will definitely be coming to this location again!⭐️

I’m always usually here on weekends and the coffee is in my opinion one of the best in town, service is great and I like that it’s in center of Potsdamer platz so you can always “people watch”. Great location!!!

Yelp
I am a bit surprised by the negative comments - I really liked this cozy cafe. Great coffee options, I had a cortado. The cafe reminded me of some of the "hipster" coffee spots I used to love when I lived in the US. I thought the staff was very friendly and nice!

Yelp
This is a really nice cafe. The design, layout, location, are all good. You have to hand it to The Barn, they have some of the best locations in Berlin. They even have a base-less cheesecake that I could eat, despite my gluten intolerance. This is rare, in Berlin cafes. That said, I will never know what The Barn has against toilets. You never find one in their cafes.
