The Barn Restaurant

The dining room was crowded, so we ate in the bar area . Sat at a table and was greeted promptly. We had craft beers and an appetizer. I ordered the bluegill instead of the walleye since you don't see bluegill on many menus ! The salad bar and entrees were great ! The service was excellent. Can't wait to go back !

First time here. The catfish was delicious, the coating was light & crispy & flavorful. Cheese curds had a great flaky coating & yummy cheese. Hubby had the ribs and the sauce was so delicious& unique! Salad bar and soup were tasty! If we were local, we would totally be back!

Absolutely loved this place! We went for my birthday dinner. Wonderful supper club type atmosphere with candles on tables. Salad bar, fresh rolls with real butter! I had walleye which was delicious! They gave me a piece of homemade cheesecake for dessert for my birthday, it was amazing. We didn't have any alcoholic drinks, our bill was only $44 for an amazing meal! Highly recommend reservations as this was a Wednesday evening at 5 and they were booked, the owner squeezed us in!

Great place to eat at! I absolutely loved the salad bar! Also loved the atmosphere and coziness with the lights. My chicken fettuccine alfredo was delish, the chicken was so tender. My boyfriend enjoyed his meal too. Good service and cocktails too. Was too full for dessert, but I’ll definitely be back when we are in the area again.

We were at The Barn for a wedding last Saturday. They have a really nice setup there. It makes for a great rustic venue!

The Barn is a very unique dining experience! The atmosphere is relaxed, the salad bar is to die for and the roasted chicken is over the top!!! The service was top notch....a wonderful family dining experience.

The food was excellent and so was the service! We really enjoyed the salad bar as well . All 6 of thought our meals were great! We didn't have a reservation, so there was a wait. Thankfully, we were able to sit at the bar, enjoy drinks, and meet new people. Definitely a place to go back to!

Wow! Just finishing our prime rib dinner. From the start to Finnish this has been an exceptional dining experience. My husband called prior to us going to make sure they were knowledgeable of gluten free options. He was able to talk directly to the chef who knew exactly what he was talking about!! Our prime rib was cooked to perfection! Another wow!! Salad bar is out of this world!! The Tomato Basil soup awesome!! And labeled gluten free!! Jenna, our server, sweet, considerate, very friendly! Just a peach! Highly recommend! Thank you !!

I had broiled walleye and my girlfriend had salmon with Hollandaise sauce. In both cases the fish was overdone. Fish should not be chewy. Also, the Hollandaise sauce was disgusting. We probably won't be back, but locals seemed to like it. Other dishes must be better than this was.

Went for all you can eat fish Friday and stayed for the Spotted Cow on tap! Very great service and ambience! Feels like your at a midwestern cousins really nice house.

Excellent supper club, salad and soup bar was amazing. Steak dinner was also great! Price was very reasonable also. I will highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to this area. Staff was very friendly and the service was great!

Not great but was edible. Rice Pilaf was not good. Salad bar was good. Asparagus soup was good. Salmon was just ok - ordered blackened but really wasn't blackened. Edible but not worth the price.

A beautiful facility, in a beautiful town. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic.

Was great! My wife and I had our first meal here. The salad bar was fresh with lots of choices. My steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. We can't wait to come back someday.

Went to PdC for the holiday weekend to find they were closed. Not unlike several other places in the area. Can't figure what I missed I planning this visit.

We were happy with most aspects of the restaurant. The catfish had too much bread and was overcooked. The spiced potato wedges were good. The rest of the food was also tasty.

Unbeatable! Great food, cocktails, atmosphere and service. Prices are extremely reasonable.

Great food and service received at this place! I had the chicken and hubby had the prime rib! Both dishes were delicious. I thought he was going to lick his plate! Lol!!

By far the highest quality beer battered haddock and cod fish fry we have discovered in driftless area! Wait staff is amazing and the atmosphere is fantastic!!

One of us had the Iowa pork chop -huge! And delicious. Two of us had the beef medallions -again delicious. Unfortunately I had the fettuccine alfredo-disappointing because the small amount of noodles (mot fettuccine noodles) was smothered by the amount of sauce. Twice the noodles and half the sauce would have been an improvement. Disappointed. Service was friendly and attentive.

Food was great. I had the seafood platter with cod, shrimp, scallops, hash browns, and one of the best soup & salad bars I have seen. My wife had the slightly battered walleye dinner. Good portions and was served hot. I like that fact that we we not rushed. Had time to finish the soup and salad and sit a short while before the meal came. If you visit on a weekend, reservations would be recommended. We did not have reservations but there were only the two of us so it only took 10-15 minutes and we were placed at a table in the fireplace pit area and the next time I make reservations I will request the same area. It was quiet and conversation was pleasant and easy for my old ears to hear. Wait staff was pleasant and helpful. Decor is unique and pleasant. Will return for sure.

We love their New Years Eve Prime Rib and Beer Battered Shrimp buffet! It's something the entire family looks forward to, and the shrimp is so amazing they cant make it fast enough and almost always run out. The soup and salad bar are great, but you have to be careful not to fill up on this before your entrée is even served. Definitely a local favorite.

Excellent Restaurant featuring a Great Friday Night Fish Fry!! Awesome salad bar and a very friendly staff. Nice bar with a nice view of the golf course. Very rustic barn setting with nice decorations. Right across the street from the marina on the Mississippi.

Service was bad. Took forever to get refills. When you order well done food you get burnt food. We had to wait 45 minutes for our food. When we talked to the manager about the problems he was just plain too. Would not recommend to eat here.

We are always treated like royalty. Friendly owner and staff. Excellent food. Have never had better prime rib or salmon. Great atmosphere with the fireplace. Excellent drinks also.

My husband and I took a rambling road trip and happened upon this old school Wisconsin supper club. The hostess and waitress could not have been nicer. The food was wonderful. I had a New York strip steak and my husband had the evening special of BBQ ribs. The salad bar had plenty of yummy choices We also ordered their hand battered cheese curds. They came out hot and melty and crispy. Yum! Steak was tender and came with a side of jus. Ribs were flavorful. We left fat and sassy. Built on an old barn, it was a fun atmosphere both inside and out. Definitely will return if we are back in this area again.

Amazing salad bar! Always have great soups. I'm particular with how my meat is cooked and they kill it every time. also the pasta is amazing. did I mention the soup and salad bar!

Loved the atmosphere! Very friendly service. The food was very fresh. However, all of our food was super bland. Basically no seasoning. We had the steak and veggie pasta and had to salt then like crazy to get any flavor.

The pizza they serve is always burnt. They take forever to get me my food and it's overpriced for the sizes of the pizza. And I almost forgot to mention the server was as rude as can be. Overall this is a terrible place and would never recommend it.

This place has no enjoyable food not to mention its employess are crappy and not happy I think its not worth it to pay for the food they supply if your looking for a job you will not be paid only free labor

We were just introduced this restaurant this winter and really enjoy it. It has a lot of character. We love all the food we have tried from steaks to burgers to salmon. We just found out they make pizza too and it is great. A wonderful thin crust and many toppings to choose from. We love the salad bar too. And dont miss the chicken and wild rice soup.

Service was terrible. Waited 20 minutes for drinks to arrive to table, and an hour for food. Thursday night- wasn't that busy.

My family and I went to this restaurant in June. We were seated in a back corner where the place looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. And, although our waitress was wonderful, the service was terrible. To top the evening off, one of my sisters turned to find ants crawling all over the table. When we brought this to the attention of the staff nothing was done to rectify the situation. They did not offer to reseat us, try to clean the ants out or even comp some of our bill. The manager was rude and quite unkind. We will never eat there again. If for no other reason than it not seeming healthy.
