Beautiful setting with a nice play area for the kids. Food was great, the flies on the day was a pest, so rushed our food to avoid waving them away (part of nature I guess) Would stop here again when we are back in Riebeek Valley.

Excellent food, great service staff, due to the weather we were lucky to almost have the restaurant to ourselves. They had a nice fireplace going helping to create a warm and cozy atmosphere. The food was delicious and I would definitely visit again if I'm in the area. 10/10 wpuld recommend

It was the perfect place to have dinner on a rainy, cold winters night. Food was amazing (Ostrich & Pork Chops and desserts), great and friendly service and a lovely fire in the background. Definitely want to come back when we are back in the area again! Hopefully next time we can enjoy the outside area as well.

5 stars all round. Fantastic food en service, and you have a beautiful view of the town. There's outdoor and indoor seating. Make sure to stop at the sjoppie. There you can get homemade brandy, biltong and delicious goodies. I highly recommend The Barn.

We bought the best ground coffee beans and olives at the shop. The brandy distillery and quality of the brandy were absolutely great.

We LOVED this place, even said we could picture having our wedding there. Its so beautiful. We just had a small breakfast on our way home but it was delicious and the staff were lovely. Would definitely go back

Unfortunately my group didn't have the best experience here. We were a table of 16 for an engagement party. There were 2 other big tables on that day - one where platters were served and one that were already onto their desserts. We waited more than half hr for some of our starters, and not all the starters came out.. some took over an hour to arrive. During this time, some mains came out, and some mains which were the same came out half hr apart and some food didn't come out until almost an hr and a half. When we questioned this we were surprised at the response. We were clearing our own glasses and plates and fetching our own ice etc. The service was not great and it's not because they were busy.. because we were the only people in the restaurant at the time all our food arrived. Hopefully next time I go there I'll have a better experience and the bread rolls won't be stale.

I always enjoy The Barn for the ambience, location, views and varied menu options. The Aperol Spritz @ R100 each was a bit much though! My husband enjoyed his hamburger and my Spaghetti Carbonara was great too except for blocks of bacon, which was mostly fat and not crispy. Did not take photos of the food unfortunately!
