This is the only coaster in this part of the park. The lines can be very long, so you'll have to judge for yourself if it's even worth it. We waited around 30 minutes for this ride on a somewhat busy day. The ride itself is very quick - less than a minute. Even if it manages to scare your kids, it will for sure be fleeting. I love the them. It's classic Goofy-in-an-airplane theme doing goofy things.

Google
The Barnstormer at Magic Kingdom is a small, short roller coaster, perfect for kids or those looking for something mild. While it has a fun theme, it’s not very thrilling and may feel a bit boring for those seeking more adrenaline. The lines can be long, so it’s not always worth the wait. Overall, it’s a basic attraction, but not one of the most memorable.

Gabriella

Google
Such an underrated ride in the Magic Kingdom, that’s suitable for all ages and comfort levels. The lines are rarely over 15 minutes. The only downside is that the ride is quite short, but the short lines make it easy to ride again. Would recommend.

Vaibhavkumar Ramanuj

Google
A short coaster ride suitable for all ages and even for those who are not usually fan of coaster rides. A very short ride with little twist and turns. The line was not long and due to its short duration, the turnover was fast.

Travis Bohrer

Google
It's not extreme as Slinky Dog, but if you have little ones (who meet the height requirement), this is the perfect ride if they're thinking about riding on roller coasters. My kids, when they were little, loved this ride. I would only recommend Fastpass for holidays and peak season or if the wait time exceeded 30 minutes. Enjoy!

Google
✈️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Perfect First Coaster for Kids, Slightly Underwhelming for Adults If you’re visiting Disney with little ones who are just dipping their toes into the world of roller coasters, The Barnstormer is absolutely perfect. It’s charming, gentle, and packed with enough fun visuals—like Goofy’s wacky stunt pilot antics—to keep kids giggling from start to finish. For the tiny thrill-seekers, it’s an exciting “big kid” ride without being scary, with just the right dash of speed and twists. The ride is short, sweet, and leaves young riders beaming with pride. Now, for adults? Well… let’s just say if you’re expecting a heart-pounding, adrenaline-fueled thrill ride, you might find yourself glancing at your watch and wondering if the plane’s ever going to take off. It’s more of a “cute nostalgia” trip than a thrill fest. But hey—five stars for what it is: a fantastic starter coaster that introduces kids to the fun side of roller coasters without melting down parents or sending anyone flying out of their seat. Bring the kids, enjoy their smiles, and maybe skip it on your own unless you’re a Goofy superfan or just in the mood for a gentle spin.

Google
the barnstormer was my first ever rollercoaster! i think it deserves 5 stars bc it made me confident and brave to go on bigger rides as i got older and now i am!! perfect for new riders!!

Google
Cool roller coaster ride, old-fashioned but still worth doing it!
google avatar

Yelp
Not bad! Extremely short and not super thrilling. Good as a beginner rollercoaster or if you want to start overcoming your fear of rollercoasters.
google avatar

Yelp
The Barnstormer is located in the Fantasyland section of Magic Kingdom. This is a mini-rollercoaster for kids that lasts only 30 seconds or so. Kids can't ride if they're under 7 (per some of the employees) and there's also a height minimum. I wouldn't come here if there was a wait but at least it's something.
google avatar

Yelp
The barnstormer is a mini coaster thrill ride located inside Walt Disney worlds magic kingdom in their big top circus area. A small and short coaster meant for the younger Audience this ride features the likes of the classic Disney character goofy. While the ride is pretty simple and short and very rarely has a wait it is pretty fun. Perfect for kiddos not quite tall enough to ride the big thrill rides like space mountain to cut there teeth on a Disney world roller coaster. Overall neat ride with some cute decor and setup that is enjoyable for the young and older crowds.
google avatar

Yelp
A baby coaster for kids and the timid adult (me lol). My partner made a funny observation - very other car in the coaster was an adult + child under 10 pairing....and then there was him and me, with me being the child needs adult supervision! Yes, I am a wimp when it comes to stomach dropping coasters. This one was manageable though and very short! If you're a parent being dragged on this with your kid, it's about over in 2 minutes so you won't have to suffer through much. The drops are also quite gentle so tolerable even if you have eaten recently.
google avatar

Dan E.

Yelp
A perfect intro to roller coasters to young children. The drops and turns are rather steep so there's fund for the adults, too. Overall, the ride is probably no more than 45 seconds though, so wait until the lines die down to make it at all worth it.
google avatar

Amy T.

Yelp
YES! This is an introduction roller coaster. If you are bigger or taller, it might be a tight fit. If you are riding with a little child, you might want to sit them with the smaller adult in your party since you share a lap bar. It's a quick ride. It's well worth it.
google avatar

Yelp
The Barnstormer is a kid friendly coaster. It's one of the shorter rides at WDW so I wouldn't recommend waiting for a long time to ride this. It's small with a few turns and manageable for the younger crowd. It's a great stop after riding dumbo or playing in the splash park area.
google avatar

Monique W.

Yelp
This is a cute ride located in Fantasyland next to Dumbo! It's a small roller coast ride geared for young kids. It's a short ride!! Disney World has social distancing guidelines in place. Every other cart is filled and there are social distancing markers on the ground to wait. My daughter and I didn't have to wait to get on this ride. We pretty much walked on as there wasn't many people at the Magic Kingdom park when we had gone. It seemed like this ride only last for 1 minute? If that! It's a small coaster with small drops and quick twists/turns. We rode it a few times. I wouldn't recommend this ride if you have to wait 30 minutes to a hour though. It really is a short ride and you can get more of an experience going on other rides such as Small World or Peter Pan if you're limited on time at the park. If you're one for roller coasters, I'd recommend Big Thunder or Seven Dwarfs at Magic Kingdom instead.

Yelp
Description: This is a very small roller coaster, perfect for toddler-age children. The ride is zippy but really short. The total ride from rolling out of the station to full stop isn't even 60 seconds. The actual time you spend moving quickly can't be more than 20 seconds. Pros: Our kids - aged six and four - LOVED this ride. To them, it was pretty much as good a ride as the other two coasters in the park: Seven Dwarfs and Big Thunder. The dips and turns are about as good as larger coaster brethren, just not quite as severe or long. Normally reputed to have long lines, we caught this piece of the park during a rainstorm, and rode it twice in full-poncho with less-than-two-minute lines. The kids had a blast. Cons: Extremely short ride, extremely small cars/seats. Any adult over average height or weight will suffer greatly, squishing in next to their offspring. Ride rating: 3/5 Experience rating: 3/5

Yelp
This ride is a small roller coaster located in the Storybook Circus part of Fantasyland. During the Fantasyland expansion the ride was rethemed to add a cannon that Goofy apparently uses to shoot himself out of during his circus act. The ride is only a minute long so I wouldn't wait for it if there is a very long line. If you do choose to ride it is a fun small coaster good for young children up to adults. My 17 year old daughter still found it enjoyable. You are taken up to the top of a hill and you race to the bottom in a series of twists and turns. There aren't any sudden drops making this a good coaster for younger children.
google avatar

Louisa M.

Yelp
I really, really, REALLY hate roller coasters so I was a bit apprehensive to ride the Barnstormer. After much begging and pleading from my four year old niece, I finally relented and rode this thing with her. It was scary but not too scary for me, and I'm a chicken with a capital c. The ride is a pretty legit coaster although it's designed with the kiddie set in mind. You sit in coaster cars designed to look like an old fashioned airplane. Yes, adults are allowed to ride even without a kid accompanying them, but smaller kids must be with an adult. Watch out, tall folks: this thing is a knee knocker. It's hard to cram adult legs into the seats so get ready for some bruises. The attraction itself is pretty straightforward: make a climb and then gently curve down the hill. There aren't any big drops or loops and the ride is fairly smooth. This is a very short ride; probably lasting no more than 30 seconds. In fact, the walk out from the exit and back into Fantasyland lasts about 4 times longer than the ride!
google avatar

Stefanny W.

Yelp
The ride it's perfect for the younger kids. I must say that the line it's not worth the wait. Thankfully we had a FastPast, but there was a 30 minute ride for a 1 minute and 30 second ride.
google avatar

Amanda F.

Yelp
This is a short roller coaster that is great for little kids. It has a height limit of 38 inches, so my son was able to ride it when he was 3-years-old. It looks like an airplane that Goofy crashed into a barn.
google avatar

John L. H.

Yelp
This is a fun coaster for kids of all ages. I am about to admit something that you may find quite funny if you know me. Despite being a brave dude, roller coasters used to terrify me. I would gladly run towards some situation that would cause others to hide, but I would cower in fear at the thought of a thrill ride. All that changed two years ago when my oldest daughter desperately wanted to ride a coaster. I was a scardey cat, but I couldn't let her go alone. That ride changed my outlook completely. Now I love them. If you're not a fan of coasters, or looking to try them out, this would be a great ride. It does a lot of the traditional coaster things, but it's a super short ride. Even though it's short, the hairpin turns and drop will be sure to satisfy your need to be thrilled. The other cool thing about this ride is that it's acceptable for even smaller children. I lucked out on this trip because my youngest is over 44" meaning she can ride nearly everything. If your kid is only 38" this is one to try. Note: the ride is so short that I don't know if it's worth a long wait. I had a fast pass from a broken ride so I was able to get right in.
google avatar

Brian L.

Yelp
Pretty fun little ride. Great for kids. Good for grown ups who don't want to die. My little one wanted to stay on it all day. I did it twice with her. Momma did it the second time. It's only about a minute start to finish.
google avatar

Jacqueline S.

Yelp
I was pretty shocked when my toddler wanted to ride on this and I was even more surprised that she met the height requirement - 36 inches. We booked a fast pass for our next trip and proceeded to the ride. The ride is a cute rollercoaster...not scary if you are expecting any kind of thrill ride, but cute for kids. My daughter looks terrified the whole time on it but then screams about how much fun it was and how she wants to go on again. It's not too lame that I'm bored as an adult either. This is definitely one of our favorite rides at MK.
google avatar

Sue M.

Yelp
I was clueless that this ride was a roller coaster until I got to the top!!! It's perfect for kids as it's over in no time. But please do not let your child sit alone. Make sure they sit with someone. I'm a small adult whom they sat alone and on those hairpins turns I was whipped left and right in my seat. There was no one to "shoulder" with, so to speak. Though I can see the attraction to the young 'uns, I had more fun as a watcher than a passenger;-)
google avatar

Jenn C.

Yelp
This scared me more than I anticipated but it wasn't awful. Would I ride it again maybe but not by choice. Lol. I'm just not a thrill seeker kinda person I guess. I intended on coming here to hold bags and these kids have juiced my head up and have me acting out of character. They're trying to kill me before I turn 36 tomorrow. I am done listening to the for the rest of this trip and we still have two days left.
google avatar

Styarria G.

Yelp
Five stars for the kiddies. Anyone seeking a thrill will be greatly disappointed, but for small children and those who prefer really tame coasters this is fun. If the line is long, keep in mind the ride is super short.
google avatar

Lakisha M.

Yelp
This ride is okay. It sure seemed like it was 30 seconds long though. Its perfect for families traveling with a lot of very small children. My 2 year olds were very impressed. The same with my 7 year old who is afraid of coaster. All in all, this is a pretty safe ride for littles.
google avatar

Elissa H.

Yelp
Hands down still my favorite ride yes I know it's a kid ride .... Do I care nope it's Disney everyone is a kid lol

Yelp
My son was sooo excited about his first 'roller coaster' and being that Goofy is one of his favorite characters, it made it that much more special! He loves "Goofy's airplane ride!" as he calls it. At first, I was nervous this ride was too rough for my 2.5 year old,(because I'm an overly cautious mom) but he couldn't stop talking about it and went on it twice more! We went right before 'Wishes' started, so there was no line- I highly recommend that if you want to ride it continuously that you do this. Otherwise, I believe the line gets quite lengthy during peak hours! I can't say that it will be exciting for coaster enthusiasts, but great first 'big' ride for your budding toddler!
google avatar

Yelp
I have been a roller coast enthusiast forever, even these junior class of roller coasters gets my heart pumping. As we approached this semi-thrill ride and noticed the line was extremely short and with two trains each holding 16 people I knew it would be only a matter of minutes before we were going to be inching our way towards the top. My heartbeats matched each click of the drag chain pulling us up ever so slowly. I live for the exhilaration of the first drop I raised my hands above my head anticipating the 30 foot drop as we accelerated to the maximum speed of 25 mph. I felt like a kid again embracing every sharp turn and twist of the track, you'll be engulfed with emotions that we don't get to experience everyday for the entire 60 seconds. I begged the little ones that were riding with us to go around and ride again but they were ready to move on to the next one, typical self- serving seven olds what do they know about having fun, but of course I followed them.

Yelp
We noticed the Barnstormer while walking through the kiddie section of the Magic Kingdom late on a Friday night. Kiddie section is kind of redundant, I know, but there's a circus theme and I'm pretty sure they used to have a dedicated Mickey Mouse town there a few years ago. Anyway, this is actually a pretty great roller coaster. The Imagineering is a lot of fun. It looks like a Goofy the pilot cartoon come to life, complete with Goofy-shaped holes in nearby billboards. Given it's theme and location, it's easy to dismiss as a kiddie coaster, but I found the only thing that would lend itself to that designation is the length of the ride. Coaster fans will actually be pleased at the g-forces, twists and turns and the thrill of the ride in general. A great ride to enjoy for all ages. If they can handle it.
google avatar

Amy S.

Yelp
This is such a fun little kiddie roller coaster. Your child is sure to have a blast (and you just might too). The line for this attraction can get crazy long and the ride is really short, so you'll need to make the decision if you want to wait it out or not. If I had a kid, I definitely would, but as an adult, not so much. Also, make sure to know your child. I haven't seen this coaster scare many children, but it does scare some. There is a short drop and there are some hairpin turns, so if you have a kid that is scared of almost anything, you may not want to let them ride on this one. Like others have said, at least the ride is really short, so it's usually over before they have a chance to hyperventilate and pass out on you. LOL Although, you do run the risk of traumatizing them if they get scared easily, just be mindful of that fact and all will be good. =)
google avatar

Catherine O.

Yelp
Cute ride but a little bumpy for my taste. This is an adorable attraction for the kids, highly recommended to get your kids excited for the bigger roller coasters. I got a little dizzy with the hair pin turns and it was a little jerky but maybe I'm just getting old. I would recommend this for families with small children.
google avatar

Philippe B.

Yelp
Your Child's Introductory Coaster Located in one of the kiddiest sections of Magic Kingdom, Storybook Circus, Barnstormer is the perfect starting coaster for your children. There are no step drops or fast speeds on this coaster. The ride is relatively short, so there are no worries if your child gets scared, you'll be back at the station in no time. There is no heavy excitement for adults, but if you are afraid of roller coasters, than this is one for you because it is simple, smooth, and not high off the ground. Somehow there were a 7-10 hats on the ground under the ride. I understand there are many coasters where people losing their hats, sunglasses, scarves (...), etc., but this ride seems to be one of the least likely to cause you to lose it unless it was loosely fitted on your head/face. For parents with kids this is a Must Try, but if you are a thrill seeker, this is a must skip. The standard wait time during my mid-July visit was 10-20 minutes. Hat Losing Scale: 1.5/10 The ride is slow. The turns aren't demanding. How so many people lost their hat here means they didn't care or possibly threw it down. Who knows.
google avatar

Michelle C.

Yelp
My daughter's 1st real roller coaster. It is a perfect first ride, as it is short. In case they freak out and stop breathing, the ride is over before they black out. (I know you think I'm kidding, but seriously, some parents just don't know their kids.) It's cute enough for anyone to ride, with or without a newly 40 inch tall passenger.
google avatar

Matt H.

Yelp
Huh? I blinked and the ride was over. Indeed, a very short ride (it's even SHORTER than Gadget's Go Coaster @ Disneyland, but more enjoyable) that's theming is generally similar to that of Goofy's Sky School in Disney's California Adventure. The airplane shaped coaster cars look really neat, however it tends to make it slightly awkward to get in to.
google avatar

John O.

Yelp
So this is a slower rollercoaster ride with some G force to it. This is a rollercoaster for kids. Otherwise cool design and layout, especially when the ride goes through a billboard that looks like Goofy had crashed through.
google avatar

Clarissa M.

Yelp
Great for a kiddie coaster. But be forewarned it is super short. Don't wait too long for such a short ride.
google avatar

Sabrina B.

Yelp
The new and improved barnstormers ride is located in the first section to open at the brand new fantasy land. Your kids will love it.
google avatar

Vic G.

Yelp
6 cheers for Goofy the goofini. A total fun ride with the kids - especially if the kids are borderline scared of roller coasters. This is the ride to get on with them to help them ease up. They will love it. For someone who loves really scary roller coasters - even I had a blast given the joy you get when you are seeing the young ones take it all in and are completely thrilled. It lasts for not too long so even if you find that your kid is scared after the first turn - it will be over before you know. For first timers - avoid the front car for sure. Also - every other car has a shade above. Those make the ride seem rather non scary for newbees too. Finally - kids don't ride alone. Always with an adult. A must try for the young ones.
google avatar

Jackie N.

Yelp
Such a long line for a very short ride and I had a FastPass. This ride was literally 2 mins but for a little kid this is a good starter coaster. I didn't know that so my friends and I, who are all adults, crammed into this kiddie ride. I felt like I had to duck a lot since it's made for short people. This is probably a good starting rollercoaster for kids.
google avatar

Joe M.

Yelp
This is a nice ride for children but it is very short. In fact, the walkway to exit the ride takes longer than the actual ride. If the wait is over 10 minutes I would either get a fast pass or avoid this ride. Kids need to be 38 inches to ride.

Matt K.

Yelp
My 5 year old absolutely love this miniature roller coaster. There is some cool stuff to check out on line and the queue moves fast. I think we hit it 5 or 6 times this trip.
