DONT GO IF YOU ARE HUNGRY
First visit to the Barony, first impressions were outstanding, beautiful surroundings, spotlessly clean and the service was top class. The thing that let it down massively was the portion sizes, £18.95 for the breast of chicken in a drambuie sauce with sautéed potatoes and mixed vegetables, the chicken was tiny, looked like it had been cut in half lengthways, 5 thin slices of sautéed potatoes and a few bits of veg, this was at best a young child's portion of food. Again, the rib eye steak at £27.95 arrived on the same sized plate as the chicken, a handful of chips and a small bit of salad containing 1 cherry tomato cut in half. Left still hungry and didn't want to order a desert or the cheese to find these were also minute, home via the chip shop! Don't visit if you are hungry. Won't be back unless portion sizes change to a decent plate for the money.
