The Bath Gin Bar

Entered a stranger. Left as a friend. Not only is this bar a heaven for gin lovers, it is also home to the most heartwarming and hospitable barkeepers I have met in a long, long time. Ava (which is short for "always very awesome") and Timms made a seemingly bland Wednesday evening a night to remember. And if you think that this sounds like an overtly glowing review than that's because those two and the bar they run deserve it. Try for yourself: I asked for the flight of gin and got more than just good drinks and background knowledge. A high recommend from me! You will always have a fan in Germany!

The bar does table service so there will be a service charge included on the bill. The staff were warm and we immediately felt welcomed. There's a decent selection of gins to try, as well as a flight which comes with a bottle of tonic. I'm not usually a gin drinker but I really enjoyed this place.

My firm first recommendation to anyone looking for a bar in Bath. Original and creative cocktail menu, attentive and knowledgeable staff and a delightfully snug ambience that makes you forget that you're a short walk away from the main shopping district of the city. The Three of Swords and The Star are some particular highlights of the menu (made with their own vast variety of unique distilled gins), although the bartenders are more than willing to accommodate any drinks outside of it! I find myself continually returning to this hidden gem, and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Bath.

Highly recommend the Master Class experience. We were lucky enough to take the class with Harriet and Maddie. Fun, informative and so cool to make 3 of our own cocktails. Could not have had a lovelier time! PS if you don't want to take the class the cocktails are also worth going for. It was after our second visit in 2 days having cocktails that we signed up for the class.

Sincerely disappointed by this bar–please update your website/Google so travellers can plan correctly. I planned to come here on my last night in Bath and was very much looking forward to it–I love gin and Jane. The website says they’re open until midnight as does Google, though the door just vaguely says “late.” I arrived at 10pm. There were still patrons enjoying drinks, and the door was open. The female bartender greeted me cheerfully, and then the male bartender turned and told me they were done serving for the night with an insincere “sorry.” As much as I love this concept, I won’t bother in future when I’m in Bath. It would have cost him nothing to let the other bartender who clearly didn’t mind quickly mix me a drink.

I would highly recommend going to this sweet little gin bar just around the corner from the main city life. The atmosphere is lively yet a great place to sit and chill with some of the best drinks ive had. The menu has a unique almost habddrawn style, with carefully thought out drinks and flavours. Staff are friendly and inviting and are always keen for a laugh. Would definitely go here again

We came again with friends who also loved it here. A great establishment, great drinks, great staff. I'm sure that my wife and I will visit here again. Excellent gin cocktails served by extremely pleasant staff.

Love this place, pop in every time I'm in Bath. Can get busy on the weekends, but the delicious cocktails (and good selection of them too!), long gin list and cosy atmosphere are worth it.

Great gin and outdoor seating when the weather allows. Staff is friendly as well! Highly recommended.

Such good gin and tonics! (With a twist!) George is an outstanding guy, and truly made the experience exceptional. Also, try the rosemary and fennel one. You won't regret it!

The dark and moody interior would be great at night but I ended up discovering this place on a sunny day so unfortunately the place was quite empty. The bartenders were very knowledgeable and we enjoyed two cocktails made with their own gin (rhubarb) and various mixers. Delicious! I wish I could have brought a bottle home but I need to be able to close my suitcase. I'm sure this place is a great place to hang out in the evenings .

Bartenders are very helpful. Smelled and sampled the house gin's. As you expect there are many gins to choose from. Bought their gin sampler as a gift and very happy with the purchase.

We had a grand time at this louche-aura distillery. Dark, bordelo décor. I happily ensconced myself in the cushioned window seat. We tried several gins with the Merchant's Heart tonic. The barkeep said that Merchant's Heart is a step up from Fevertree. Loved the logo glasses. Wonderful service from knowledgeable staff. It was fun watching them roll up the metal gate when we ordered a bottle of the gin to go.
