The Baths Sorrento

We had order 3 course dinner meal. The entree is good. For the mains we order steak and chicken scollopine Steak is medium well is my prefer choice. For chicken scollopine we expect the chicken should be slice but not 2 pieces of chicken breast. Desserts are average. Service is good. They have great view and can see ferry leaving and coming. it is a good place for celebration or special occasion. The price is a bit on high side but there are restaurant more expensive in Peninsula mornington.

Had the 3 course lunch here last weekend, truly enjoyable meal, one of the most relaxing and perfect spot to enjoy your meal. It was a lovely day on the beachfront and I sat there for nearly 3hours! Mel was so attentive and welcoming, make my day! Thank you Mel for such a welcoming and beautiful lunch! Loved all the 3 courses, the fish n chips is the BEST I have tasted around the world, crunchy and tasty, not oily! Will be back soon with families and friends. She even arranged for the section of beach where our ceremony took place to be cleared, ensuring everything was picture-perfect for our big day. We were recommended to The Baths to celebrate a special occasion. Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed with the quality & taste of the food. We ordered the steak and the snapper on black rice. Both were below average in taste and presentation. Beef was..... & Fish main was overall too salty Veggies were roughly cut and difficult to eat & chew. Can't say I recommend the place P

Reasonably priced set menu for a beachside restaurant. We chose the 2 course for $75. “Prawn cutlets” were literally just 3 grilled prawns but it paired well with the salsa and aioli. Crab Mac and cheese was nice and saucy, not a typical stodgy dish. Seafood linguine was a very generous portion with quality seafood. Eye fillet looked a little on the small side but was actually enough. The Demi-glacé was perfect. The only thing that dented our experience was the charge for sparkling tap water. We were offered still or sparkling water upon arrival. I asked whether it was tap and she confirmed. I also saw the Purezza taps. Now any other restaurant or cafe would provide this free. I’ve NEVER been charged for it. Here though, it’s $6 PER PERSON. So I paid $12 for a bottle of tap sparkling water, which I only drank half of. If it was a proper bottle (San Pellegrino or Perrier, maybe I wouldn’t say anything). Also, the table was not clean. Coffee stains, sugar, dust and hair needed to be cleaned up.

The baths has struggled for years to find its way. The food is of an average standard, the service is enthusiastic yet not educated in good hospitality standards. The fixed price menu does not reflect the offer, so overpriced for standard popular dishes hence the lack of customers. Time to rethink the business model as the location and decor are worthy of a great business. I will wait for better reviews before returning to the venue.

We got married here 6 years ago so we make an effort to come back a few times a year for a meal / reminisce! The service is always great & our meals we couldn’t fault, every time we come there is something different on the menu which is good too. The window tables are always lovely as the view is beautiful ~ perfect place to sit & relax & enjoy a meal anytime of the year!! Parking is easy too. Never disappoints.

My family and I had a pleasant lunch here. The location near the sea is very pleasant. The food is rich in flavor and satisfies our taste buds. The owner is also very welcoming. I will definitely come back.

A-Mazing seafood - the Chowder was great; full of fresh seafood, not to spicy. The Panacotta was excellent; a great blend of flavours and tastefully decorated. But the Barramundi was outstanding; beautifully seared, juicy and tender on a simple butter mash base with some parsley and gorgeous lightly steamed asparagus. Superb! Overall fantastic value for the 3 courses. Ambiance was lovely; warm and light, with the clearing weather revealing moored boats weathering the light rain. Staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. Definitely will be back!

We shared a dip as we are losing weight with smaller portions The dips were miserly and not enough bread. We were charged for asking for extra bread Were not happy. Not enough variety in the dips and tiny portions. This place promises more than they deliver . Elsewhere if we shared dips we would be well and truly satisfied.

I visited here the other day with a friend and it was reasonably busy so we were asked to wait while one of the girls working checked on table availability. In between that time a man who we were told was "the boss" came and took us to a great table with an amazing view. Staff were quick to offer us menus and a drink and were very polite and charming. The food came relatively quick and did NOT disappoint. I loved every bit of it!! When it came time for dessert I was well and truly full however couldn't say no to the deconstructed cheesecake. It was amazing although i could not have more than a few spoonfuls. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area. It is the perfect amount of casual and classy. Seems quite family friendly also. Staff are beyond amazing, food is beyond amazing, the VIEW is beyond amazing, what more can you ask for?

Incredible location on the water. The view up the bay on a calm sunny day was about as beautiful as you could imagine. That's why every table with a water view was occupied. Nice looking menu here and the meals coming out looked good. But, sadly we only stopped for a coffee and snack today. We had a lovely Florentine here, bought in probably but still delicious. Our coffees were very good. Gorgeous, silky and significant. Very nice establishment here. We'll be back for a meal for sure.

More than fish & chips. Menu has been broadened and the food and view is great. Make sure to visit the gelato bar for desert after your meal...really excellent.

We had a wonderful dinner here. Salad was super fresh and yummy. The snapper was prepared perfectly. Didn't care for the prawn chowder which was kinda gritty. Fireplace was delightful.

Well presented food, does a great job with the staples. Best part has to be the sea view though. Worth even dropping by just for a coffee to soak it all in.

First time ever I think I'm writing something like this on social media. We respectfully complained to management tonight but unfortunately I don't believe the poor man sent to our table was even a manager. Dined at The Baths Sorrento .... oysters where amazing.. choice of wine average... Osso bocco was disgusting and full of gristle.. muscles in broth sooo salty I couldn't even eat them ... our orders from drinks to meals was stuffed up and double ordered all night. We sent half eaten dinner back to kitchen very discreetly with nothing other than sorry from waitress .. suddenly of course dessert was also stuffed up and we where given another desert to say sorry AGAIN... so, a frozen sweet and salty desert we couldn't cut our spoon through was I think compensation??!! Couldn't eat that either .. finally our desert, we actually ordered arrived and was also awful.. chocolate mouse ... again we didn't eat it. $170 later .. we ate some oysters and wine .. the end. Never going back

Horrible place, we booked then came in and they weren't sure if they had a table for us, anyway they did so we sat down and ordered our food. My meal came out after the right amount of time, but my 2 relatives didn't get their meal. They apologised that they had accidentally written my meal in as an entree, and we didn't mind but we asked if they were able to bring out the bread we ordered as an entree as that hadn't come out yet which was strange because one of the meals did. They said they'd bring it out asap and anyway after 5 minutes they brought out the wrong bread and were confused when we told them it wasn't the bread we ordered. Anyway they finally understood and said they'd get the right one for us. 10 minutes after that, which was about 40 minutes after we ordered our meals at the start, they hadn't brought out any main meals or bread entree. We had to go up to them and say that we were leaving as we had to go somewhere, and said it wasn't good enough us waiting that long. We asked if we could have the one meal & drinks without being charged as it was not good service and they let us have the meal but we had to pay for drinks. The view in this restaurant is nice but don't be fooled - you'll regret coming here.
