A visit for evening meal. The pub is located in a stunning position overlooking Morecambe Bay. The bar area is everything a traditional pub should be with exposed beams, comfortable seating and lots of little alcoves. The hand pulled cask beer was good. We dined in the conservatory. This has views to die for and there can't be many restaurants that have such a fantastic outlook. |The food was incredible. The fillets of steak beautiful and cooked just as requested. The homemade icecream and brandysnap basket was a perfect dessert. Will definitely be back.

Lovely view and walk along the canal.|The menu has a good selection of dishes.we had dinner here 2 X the 1st time I had the lamb shank which was well done and tasted good well seasoned, the sauce had a good shine . The ice cream was very good .|The fish was good and chicken. ||The second visit was a little disappointing. The duck was over cooked and chewy, because it was over cooked. The the sweet and sour sauce was not what I expected .sort of tasted sweet and sour but not strong enough. Or enough of it.|The sorbet was not right not smooth as it should be , had big luck on s of ice.,But the the berry and apricot tasted good the kiwi did not have much flavour .the sponge cake was a bit strange.|Could have had more staff only 3 to cover the bar as well|which they did very commendably. Would ho again||

A great place with eye watering views of the tides & surrounding areas. Great Staff. They went out of their way to help my wheelchair bound mother in law to their outside seating. Ideally located with a good parking area & great walks.

Set in a lovely location with great views from the conservatory, however, tables were badly stained, outdated decor and the food was a total tip off. Paid £10 for a sandwich that had been prepared for a toddler which arrived in four tiny triangles on thick supermarket bread with crusts cut off. Sandwich was accompanied by a "salad" consisting of what appeared to be left overs i.e. limp discoloured leaves, a couple of beansprouts and an insignificant piece of boiled egg crushed on top, yak!

We had a wonderful meal for a large family group. The food was really great, service good and a really lively location. Highly recommended.

We went as a family of 5 to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. |As always the food was delicious. Everything on the plate tastes different unlike in most places where everything tastes the same. Every time we eat there the food is consistently tasty. |There is a good choice for meat eaters and vegetarian and lovely touches like freshly baked bread rolls that are brought before the meal.

Yelp
Distant memory from two decades ago. Very homey and inviting. I stayed here for a work trip and will never find a more warm and inviting home for a naive American traveler to come in from the cold. It was my first trip to northern England, my first time driving on the left, and all done in early December, arriving through rain, snow, and ice from Newcastle. Great warm fireplace and pub to walk into, with, at the time, a comfortable dog sleeping by the fire. Once settled in my room, I recall a nice room temperature beer in the pub to settle in. I hope one day to return.

Yelp
The Bay Horse is a pub, and it's at the end of a long industrial area. You won't be stumbling upon it. However, the view is amazing, and the food delicious. We went for Christmas Dinner. They do "seatings", and a set menu. Christmas menu was 7 courses. The first course was a warm cheesy tart; next came some leek and watercress soup; followed by a palette cleanser, and then the main course, dessert (Christmas pudding for the win!) and finally coffee and mince pies (which I skipped because the quantity of food). The main course was a typical turkey dinner. The only off thing here was the cranberries which were way too tart. Everything else on the menu was amazing.... and did I mention the view? This is definitely a place to be seeking out.
