The Beach

I really enjoyed my time at The Beach. I had a 3 bedroom and 2.5 bath penthouse. The unit was very spacious with tall ceilings. There was a nice patio to sit outside and enjoy the sunset. My favorite feature was the Crows nest. I enjoyed going up to the roof to enjoy a view Albuquerque and the Sandias. The property is very clean and quiet. I had very friendly neighbors with no issues. It was also nice walking the grounds and saying "hi" to people. I think the floor plan was priced very well. I even had a garage (which I highly recommend as parking can be a pain). Gina (the property manager) was always friendly to me and said hi. We had a good rapport and she was always willing to help, especially with work orders and maintenance. I was able to get a new AC unit, new washer, and new dishwasher quickly. I knew Anthony as the maintenance guy, but he retired. The new guy (sorry I don't remember his name) was very friendly and helpful to. Pros: - Good value - Lots of space - Highly desirable area (Walking Distance to Bosque, Old Town, Aquarium, Tingley Beach, Art Bus stop, and El Vado). -Friendly Staff - 3 Bedroom unit - Washer and Dryer in unit - Pool - Clean grounds (regularly spray and yard maintenance) -Crows Nest (staircases access/view point) -patio Cons: - Assigned Parking - Lots of Stairs (Usually not an issue but I lived on the 3rd floor, so bringing things up/down was a pain). - Lots of creepy crawlies (Don't live here if you aren't a fan of bugs in summer). They spray regularly, but you know spiders and beetles still get in. - Cleaning (Even with two people, cleaning that large apartment took time).

I loved living in these apartments! To the spacious layouts to the beautiful views i had from my apartment windows. The location was easy access to the whole city. The property was always kept up. Maintenance always came the same day for repairs. The people in the office are always so kind and answered all my questions and needs. They would go beyond. If you are looking for apartments in Albuquerque i 100% recommend these ones !!!!!

Been a resident at the beach for about a year now. Moved from another location due to the horrible staff at the previous property. I can honestly state that this was one of the easiest move in’s I’ve ever experienced. Adriana and her staff have been professional and very pleasant to work with. They have always been very helpful and knowledgeable with any questions I bring forth. They keep the residents up to date with any problems within the property that might arise, they’re very informative and on top of any work orders I’ve placed. If you’re looking for a property with friendly, caring and professional staff I highly recommend living at The Beach!

Out of any apartment I've been to this one has to be the best! The the view is amazing. It's perfect to go on walks. The management is great. They are so sweet and always helpful. When I need maintenance they waist no time on getting me help the same day.

Yesterday 08/14/2023 I was looking for an apartment in a nice neighborhood and found the Beach Apartments. It is in a beautiful area very clean and affordable for me. I found the manager wonderful, kind and very helpful. But the advice for the naysayers. Your approach about issues can be harsh. Please be patient and kind. The manager has a lot to do with taking care of the hole apartment’s and resistances. She has rules that she has to follow to. Kindness goes a long way. I’m on a waiting list now. I hope to get a apartment soon.

Recently I was apartment hunting and ran into this property it is a very unique place, also I really liked the welcoming staff this apartment complex has compared to other places I have gone. The ladies both greeted me with a smile and we're very helpful and professional. I would definitely refer this place to anyone that is in search of their new home.

I’ve been looking for a place and I have found The Beach to be my future home. The staff there make me feel at home every time I come in to ask about availability. I look forward to making this my future home. It is always great to walk into an office setting with great friendly management.

Apartment hunting staff was amazing answer all my questions. I have friend who lives here everything is lovely each time I visit. I look forward to possibly living here as well. The view from this historic location is top tier.

Basically a slum. The outside stairs are rusted, there are gaps around all doors that allow cool air to escape in the summer and warm air to escape in the winter and allow huge insects and dirt in. The air conditioner has been broken for months without repair during the hottest part of the summer with temperatures at or above 100 degrees. Massive leaks go unrepaired for months, destroying personal property. Management allows third party repair personel unsupervised, unlimited access to apartments without tenants concent and creating an unsafe environment.

I've since moved out of The Beach since my last review. In late 2015, Nancy, the manger for decades retired and I could not be happier for her. However, in came the "new" manager Gina. Here is what life at The Beach was like with Nancy: 1. Friendly help when visiting or calling the front office. 2. Sweeping the leaves off the walk ways and door fronts. 3. A friendly call to your cellphone if the 3rd came and went and your rent had not been paid yet. 4. Personal delivery of packages to your front door. (If she had spare time) 5. A kind smile and hello when she walks through the parking lot and sees you. 6. Two handmade blankets given to our children. 7. The personal attention that has made The Beach what it is today. Here is what life looks like with Gina as the manager. 1. Denial of a package dropped off in the office. There was a slip left in my mailbox that said package in office. When I stopped in to get it she rudely told me it wasn't there and she hadn't seen anything for me. Fast forward one week when I called the company to get the tracking # for it. Sure enough my package (text that was needed for a graduate class) had been sitting in the office for over a week. Lo and behold it was Gina, who shooed me away, that signed for my package. 2. A $5 fee for a copy of a misplaced key. 3. Leaves EVERYWHERE. 4. No response regarding putting your notice in to move out for over a week. 5. Some girl named Cassandra filling in for Gina, while on vacation, who can not answer any questions or make any decisions for herself. "I'll have to wait and talk to Gina about that." "I'm not sure how Gina does that." 6. A rather elitist way of running an apartment complex. Overall, The Beach is no longer what it once was and for that I'm very sad. My experiences with the new manager, Gina, are just my experiences. Please be aware that you will be moving into an apartment complex ran as if it is part of a large corporation. I hope others have a better experience than I did.

Terrible customer service. I went to get information, and there was no apartments to see (which happens I understand this), but the girl was rude and didn't offer giving me anymore information accept that I probably wouldn't be able to get a one bedroom. Not happy, and not going back to see anymore.
