The Beach Bungalows Tamarindo

The hosts are AMAZING!!!! If you have time highly suggest staying here. If you are into peaceful environments and a low maintenance pace. This place is for you. Breakfast was incredible, the ingredients were so fresh. They even did my laundry on short notice and had it ready before breakfast. Mucho gracias!

I stayed at the Beach Bungalows in Tamarindo as a solo female traveler, and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had. Shannon was amazing, so kind, accommodating, and communicative. The bungalows are beautiful and feel immersed in nature, with lovely touches like a hammock, pool, and fresh breakfast each morning. It’s also perfectly walkable to the beach and all the spots you’d want to explore in town which made it so convenient. I’d absolutely stay here again if I come back to Tamarindo! Thank you Shannon for the amazing experience and for all the recommendations you helped me with!

I stayed at The Beach Bungalows in early July and had the best experience ever!! I NEVER leave reviews, so the fact that I am even typing one out is really saying something. Originally I had booked my first two nights of an 8 night trip there, but I extended my stay for the entire trip because I already loved the place and wanted to stay my entire trip. The Bungalows themselves were super clean (they get cleaned every morning), the bed was so comfortable, the AC worked amazing, and the ambiance of the entire property is amazing. On top of that, the staff were incredible, and the breakfast that was served every morning was delicious and provided you with an opportunity to interact with some of the other guests....of course this is your choice and you can be as isolated as you please. If you are planning on heading to Tamarindo and you'd like to be within walking distance of everything, have a great place to stay and relax, my vote would be this place.

Can I give a 6-star review?! I recently returned from my stay at the Beach Bungalows, and I can say without reservation that it was a wonderful experience, and I absolutely plan on returning. A friend and I shared one of the pool-side bungalows for 8 nights, and we even wish we could have extended our stay. From the beginning of the trip, the owners son, Kendall, assisted us in setting up airport transportation which assured a seamless arrival. Once at the bungalows, we found that the setup was perfect to be able to sleep in comfortable air conditioning, and lounge outside in our hammock or daybed providing us enough space to comfortably share the bungalow. The bungalows were so clean, we were provided with fresh towels and sheets every day, and we slept like angels every night. The grounds were kept impeccably clean by the staff, who were all so friendly and accommodating. At the start of each day, a delicious breakfast was provided to us where we got to chat with other guests and staff, which really gave a warm community feel. Each day, we received fresh fruit and eggs, and on one occasion, a delicious pancake breakfast made by Kendall's girlfriend Alex (shoutout Alex!!) The bungalows are located within walking distance to the cutest downtown and beach area, which was very helpful in that we did not require transportation. Though my friend and I did not leave Tamarindo for the duration of our stay, there were so many activities to choose from. Kendall was so helpful in setting up any excursions we wanted to go on, and even a couples massage that we received right at our bungalow. I simply cannot recommend the beach bungalows enough, and I cannot wait to return.

Absolutely loved my stay! The bungalows are cozy, clean, and the perfect little get away. Couldn't get enough of the fresh fruit at breakfast and the service from Shannon, Seidy and Justo was incredible. It's in the perfect location to walk to local restaurants, the beach and the Thursday & Saturday markets. I traveled with my sister-in-law and we felt super safe staying there! Relaxing by the pool was one of our favorite things about the bungalows. Can't wait to see what the pool looks like after the remodel!! Shannon made it super easy to get us connected with a driver and any adventures we wanted to do. Highly recommend for solo travelers, a romantic getaway or booking the whole place our for a large friend or family trip.

Beautiful place to stay in Tamarindo, wonderful hostess. Loved the short walk to the beach where you can sit and watch the sunset, enjoy a delicious dinner.

We had an absolutely great stay here. The rooms are great, the poll is wonderful and its quiet and private. Its walking distance to everything you need, groceries, restaurants, bars and beach. Cant wait to come back!

The Beach Bungalows checked literally all of my boxes when it comes to a boutique hotel property. It was so clean, quaint & quaint, with amazing service, & gorgeous pool! My wife & I had an amazing 3 night stay here. The attention to detail was impeccable. For them to make a rustic old school bungalow feel like a luxurious retreat is honestly so impressive. They walked the line perfectly between natural & upscale. It was also one of those stays where you say “I feel right at home”. The owner said they have a Yoga Deck coming soon, we will be back!
