We rented a one bedroom cabin. Beautiful, clean, comfortable, slept great! We were at site 93, great spacious outdoor area, with a grill and picnic table. Staff were great, super friendly and knowledgeable. We took a 4 mile tube ride down the Saco river and shopped down town. Fabulous 3 night 4 day trip. We stayed 6/30/25 - 7/3/25. Family of 3, 2 adults one 13 year old boy.

We just got done with our weekend trip at beach camping NH. Unfortunately we got a rain out weekend but still enjoyed the campgrounds and peaceful environment. The grounds were clean and the sites are level for parking RV/travel trailers. The staff at check in was pleasant to engage with and was quick to get us signed into our site. When the rain finally let up on our last night everyone was out enjoying their company but promptly respected the quiet hours. We brought our fur baby and he enjoyed the stay as well taking walks by the river. We will return and definitely recommend this campground to folks looking to connect and enjoy the outdoors.

We stayed at Beach Camping Area the last week of June. 2 Adults, no kids. We had one of the river spots and had a wonderful view. Almost every campsite (minus the tenting area) had sewer, water, and electric hookups. The campground was clean. As we were self contained, we did not use the bath house. The hosts were wonderful and we saw many of the staff around the grounds working to keep the campground clean and maintained. The beach area was awesome. The Saco was refreshing. We did not take advantage of the tubing/kayak excursions, but saw many others taking the shuttle. Location is wonderful, minutes away from shopping, and close to many of the area's attractions both shopping and natural! Can't wait to book again!

We have been coming to this campground for years, and absolutely love it! We just got home from a 5 night stay and wanted to write a review to share how amazing the staff are. Two different times the campground had bands playing on the beach. One of theocely ladies from the office(wish I knew her name) was so sweet and brought out smores for everyone to cook while they watched the band play. During both bands the staff had the fire pits filled and going with a fire. When you go into the store the staff were so pleasant. The campground is quiet and very clean, we had a lot of rain when we went so there was some muddy sites but no one can control mother nature. They do have a playgorund for the kids as well as some activites. Being able to walk down to the Saco and enjoy the peace of the river is our favorite thing to do. We just left and are looking forward to our 2nd trip in July.

BEAUTIFUL campground. Nice and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Sites were spacious. The beach was so nice. Rocky as expected in NH but it had a cute little fire pit and nice chairs. The bathrooms were so cute and SUPER CLEAN.The only issue we had was the day we left they had an electrician working on something they began early and since we had little kids and a dog we were not super able to let them run around.

Google
This is our new favorite campground. The beach is huge and awesome. being able to go tubing right from there was great. Staff couldn't be nicer. Real big, level sites, and what I liked about mine, is instead of worn out grass or even mud like at other sites, I would step outside my motorhome onto sand! River sand from past floods, but for me it was like being at the beach the whole time. Loved everything about it :)

Google
Amazing place! Me and my boyfriend spent our first vacation up here in NH and it was an amazing experience! We at first booked a tent which we decided wasn’t for us and then went for the retro RV which is amazing and so cute for couples! They made the switch from tent camp to the RV super simple and hassle free! Definitely will be coming back to this place for years on end! And as a bonus every single person is super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable!

Google
Great family campground perfectly placed on the Saco River. We went tubing from the beach a few times and we all thoroughly enjoyed it, bring your own tubes to save money (only need to pay for shuttle back to campground). Our site was on the river and when we come again I will want the same thing as the view is worth it (sites 1-7)

Yelp
Five stars all the way! What an awesome campground! We decided to come up to New Hampshire to see the foliage, and to spend some time with family that was camping as well. We lucked out and they had a rental available for a retro RV. The RV had everything included, so we could rush out the door and get there right away! Not only does the campground have amazing views all around, but they also have plenty of activities as well. While we were there we saw trick or treating, a bonfire with live music, and a chili cook off, which my wife's cousin actually won! All of the staff were super friendly and beyond helpful! Before we left we had booked two more trips for next season!

Yelp
Most definitely Five Stars! Had so much fun here! We rented their Retro RV and it was perfect!!! Located right in the Sacco River in NH. Super cute! They had a massive bonfire on the beach one night with live music and that was a lot of fun!!! The grounds are very well maintained and the staff was super friendly.

Yelp
Grateful to have found this gem of a campsite. Great location, clean, well-managed facilities at very attractive rate.

Yelp
Just returned from an amazing four-day stay at this campground with my mother and six-year-old daughter. First, the location is fabulous--close to shopping and restaurants, with nature abounding. The site abuts the Saco River, and we had the joy of tubing along it. The campsite itself is super-clean with a delightful variety store with more than fair prices. The laundry facility and restrooms were immaculate. We appreciated the reasonable quiet hours and the overall sense of security that a well-managed campground (thank you, owners Pete and Christine!) instills in its customers. We plan to return each summer and are grateful for the new tradition inspired by this incredible place.

Yelp
I'm having a hard time understanding why people say the "management is polite". I have never been disrespected more by anyone in my life. Quiet hours are at 10- totally fair, I've been to a hundred campsites in my life. They all have them. However. None of those campsites management comes running up to you at 10:10 to YELL and say QUIET HOURS NO TALKING and genuinely get ANGRY that you still have a fire going. Not only were we not being even a little bit rowdy (maybe they have a skewed understanding of what "rowdy" really is...) but we were actually genuinely polite to them. Until the male manager came up to us, swearing and yelling, genuinely harrassing us, telling us not to say "ONE MORE WORD" or he will call the cops and we will be packing up our campsites to go home. I couldn't even reason with him. I'm pretty sure he used the universal hand signal to tell me to shut up. Absolute, hands down, rudest customer service I've ever experienced.

Yelp
On first glance, we were very excited to stay at this campground. It was right on the beach, close to town, had great amenities and the staff was very nice when we first checked in. Once we got to our sight, we were a little disappointed by how crowded and close together the campsites were. We came back from dinner that night around 10 o'clock. I was driving around 8 miles per hour through the campground (the posted speed limit is 5 miles per hour, which is very very slow). A woman immediately gives us the "slow down" hands, and I slow down to 5 mph and go back to my campground. The woman proceeds to follow us to our campground and scolds us for "driving at dangerous speeds". We apologize and say we won't do it again. As she is walking away, my boyfriend says "what was that about". The woman comes back and starts yelling at us as if we are children. It felt as if I was back in junior high being yelled at by my mother. I just can't emphasize how disrespectful she was and how terrible the experience was with this campsite. There was not much privacy at this site to begin with, but the manager made sure to invade the little privacy that we did have. I am an avid camper and I have never had an experience like this one. I will absolutely not be recommending this campsite to anyone. Find anywhere else to camp.

Tim J.

Yelp
Before I say why I gave this campground such a low score, I want to say that this has nothing to do with the staff or management. Everyone there was polite and helpful. The layout of the campsites was very good and the beach area was really nice. The problem I had with the campground has to do with a devistating flood they experienced last year. When the waters receded, most of the campsites and roads were covered in silt the consistency of talcum power. Whenever a vehicle (even bicycles) went by, a cloud of dirt would roll into our site. This stuff was so fine that it got into everything. We spent about 8 hours cleaning the dirt out of stuff, which really put a dent in our time spent enjoying the experience. Hopefully the campground will recover fully because it is a great spot.

Joanne R.

Yelp
Did not have much chance to see the campground. When we arrived (having called the day before) they said we must have booked for different days, so the site we wanted was taken. They offered us a different campsite, which we declined. I asked for a refund. They kept ten dollars, saying it wasn't their fault that they had marked the wrong dates. Once again, I'd called the day before and asked for the following two days. The gentleman said the ten dollars was a credit card processing fee. The campground was nowhere near full. I told the owners they were doing bad business. There was one very nice young lady at the desk who apologized. The owners walked away and said nothing.

Yelp
Just had the extreme displeasure of speaking to Christine, the most disrespectful, horrible employee/co-owner of a "business" I have ever worked with. Last year my family and I spent a month at this campground while we visited with family. It was beyond mediocre but it was affordable so we figured we would do it again this summer. My husband and I will be up there longer this summer for family stuff but we are still considering it a vacation because we don't permanently live up there AND we are not permanently moving up there. We have received jobs to make a little extra cash while we were vacationing but as I explained to Christine we're having trouble finding a place that was just for a few months so we figured we would camp for a little bit during our vacation. We were not looking for permanent housing and only planning on staying from the day they open until July 12 and we're moving to separate campsites in between. Christine informed me after my family and I have set everything up with other parties (family, etc) that my family and I aren't allowed to vacation that way and just weeks before we are set to leave for New Hampshire we were going to have our booking cancelled. Now my family and I are left scrambling for a place to stay during our vacation and Christine's tone and the way she spoke to me proved she doesn't give a damn about the visitors of the camp. She was absolutely deplorable. Christine had the nerve to tell me to get off my high horse because I explained that I had paid for two separate spots for my family and I to vacation and she doesn't deem it acceptable for my family to vacation that way-really I am the one who needs to get off my high horse?! Who are you to judge how a family vacations Christine?! Truly!! If you want to stay somewhere we're they screw your over and never clean the showers or bathrooms, go right ahead. There is a reason that they have mediocre reviews and many of them rate the way the employees act and sadly they are all true. Go somewhere else for the summer even if it costs a few more dollars-you will be thankful in the long run.

Yelp
Traveling in a 38 foot coach we stayed 4 nights in a site for big rigs. Welcome to the park of sand and dust. If you do not want sand and dust then request the sites that are southeast of the office, sure wish we had! If you are looking for a quiet and clean park where you can sit outside and relax just beware this park is full of noisy kids. During off-season I imagine this park would be very quiet, but the sand and dust is not worth it for us. Our satellite did not work here (to many large trees to get reception). If you have a dog there is ample area to walk your pet.

Yelp
Let me first start off by saying on arrival to Beach Family Camping Area, we were happy to see that some physical updating has taken place including tables, cornhole and a fire pit on the beach. Now don't get to excited because even though there is a fire pit on the beach you can NOT use it unless you get permission from the campground. However there are NO SIGNS that say you can not use the pit without permission, so beware. The campground is under new management by the same company who owns and runs the Saco River Tubing Company. The owner, Peter, was nice when we talked with him however the new manager, Chris, is completely on a power trip and as a previous bank manager with no prior experience of running a campground, completely unfit for the position. Let me explain....We were camping with two other families and we all have young children and even though it was only my second year, they have been camping here for the past 16 YEARS. We arrived on Sunday, unpacked, and set up. Kids were in bed by 10, adults were in bed by 12 (no music playing, just sitting by the fire talking amoungst ourselves.) The next day, the manager, Chris, came around on her golf cart around 9pm to remind us that fires need to be out by 11 (even though their check in brochure says 11:30 right on the front) and quiet hours begin at 10. She also told us that "someone near" our campsite complained that "some campers" in our vicinity were loud and up until 2am the night before. I told her it wasn't us since we were ALL in bed by 12 also we didn't hear any noise while we were up or after we went to bed. After her visit, the kids went to bed at 10 and then some of the adults went to the beach to listen to music (which was playing on a phone at low volume). Chris came around to them around 11 and asked them to shut the music off, which they did. She then came over again, 5 minutes later and asked them to leave the beach. My friends were packing up their belongings when again she came over not even 5 minutes later and she demanded they leave the beach and GO TO BED. I am not sure what made her so angry because my camp site was 2 spots down from the beach, and I couldn't hear any noise. The next morning she banged on my friends camper and in front of her young son yelled at her and demanded that we all pack up and leave. My friend was startled and upset that she was being screamed at in front of her child and when she tried to explain by saying "I'm sorry but I don't understand. We are just here with our families", she said "well that's not my problem". My friend was successful in diffusing Chris's power bomb and getting her to agree to let us stay, but we honestly have no idea what set her off and what could warrant such unprofessional behavior. Yes the first night we had the fire going until 12 but we were quiet and yes the second night we were on the beach with low music at 11pm (with no fire) but honestly Chris's actions were unacceptable. That same day campers moved into the site next to us and told us they were warned about us and instructed to let the office know if we were a nuisance. The campers in my group ALL went to bed at 10 that night, however our new neighbors were up partying loudly until 3am. Did Chris come around and harass them at all? Nope! The next night my group was in bed again by 10 and the neighbors were at it again, loud and partying. This time I heard a nearby tenter walk over and ask them to quiet down, but was Chris there? Nope, and THEY NEVER GOT SPOKEN TO!! It's a real shame that after many years of service this is the way we were all treated. I will never camp there again and I will always be sure that whenever the Saco/Conway area is mentioned in conversation with my camper friends and camping groups that my story is told about this particular campground. They label themselves as a family friendly campground, but from my experience its anything but friendly and my family was treated appallingly for no valid reason. Thank you Beach Family Camping Area for ruining so many future memories and smiles. Shame on you.

Yelp
This was our first visit to the beach family campground. We found the staff to be friendly, kind, and accommodating in any way they could. There is a small store within the office which was well stocked and the prices were reasonable. We had a great site very close to the beach. The bathrooms aren't the greatest, but we are camping here people. It's not supposed to be the ritz. Let's rough it a bit without making a huge deal about it. There are pay showers which were hot and sufficient. Also, there is a laundry room that was wonderful. The playground could use some updating. We found the tire swing to be unsafe for our daughter's use. Looks like it's rotting away. Yes, people do cut through sites but that's not the campground's fault. People can just be rude. It's life. The beach was small and rocky, but that's how it is. Overall, a very nice place to camp. We will certainly be back.

Yelp
This was a last minute booking and we were very pleased. Pleasant and nice customer service!!!Our site B3 was huge and set back. Beach camping was available if booked in advance. The ground is dirt and not gravel so we really like it. The beach is right behind the sites and it's great for swimming! A rope swing was quite entertaining as well. The river is all depths in this section. Saco river tubing is just a mile away ,which was very convenient for us. Will be returning in a few weeks.

Linda S.

Yelp
We visited the beach family campground, the first week of August for the first time and were very pleased. We belong to a private campground association and found your campground to be refreshing, as basic camping etiquette seems to be highly valued at your campground, not all campers appreciate, or practice this, but you do your best to see that all campers rights are respected. The sites were good sized and well kept, and easy to get into.Staff was friendly and very helpful. We will be coming back again soon!

Yelp
The campground used to be nice. In the five or so years we have been coming it has been in a steady state of decline. The sites are too tight and not well maintained. The grass on our site was tall and there was broken glass all over. We lost the 30 amp leg of our power and had to run on the 15 amp. It is a hot weekend and they are in no way able to maintain there power needs. After looking at the breaker boxes it's pretty apparent why. They have not even upgraded in forever. Our site #45 seems to be a runway of people traveling through. Literally walking right under out awning. I could not imagine letting my kids or friends get away with that. Incredibly disrespectful. I approached the owner/workers about these issues and they shrugged it off as if it was just another day at work. It's a shame that the campground has fallen into disrepair. There is a lot of potential. We will not be returning here in the future.

Yelp
love this campground ! the sites are clear, big and safe (no dangerous limbs on the trees because they chopped branches). the bathrooms and showers are really clean, every time I go to use the bathroom the woman is either in there cleaning or just finished up! there are pathways for people to walk through so that no one is crossing over your site. the location couldn't be better, it's right on the Sacco river, and if you take a left out of the driveway you'll come across a lot of stores (outlet mall!) and restaurants :) there is a playground here for kids and everyone seems to be really courteous regarding the speed limit & quiet time .. I absolutely love this campground I have already been here twice this year ! It is a great campground and very inexpensive ! I attached a picture of the site I am currently on; it has plenty of space & has a fire pit, electricity, and a water spicket

Tyler T.

Yelp
Iv been coming here for years and i dont see the huge problem people have been claiming this place to be... sites are flat clear and clean management is good i have no complaints.. the women is constantly cleaning everything from the bathrooms to the showers to the already up kept and clean camp sites .. for the price of $45 a night i have no complaints... beach access is good yes there are rocks so bring flip flops like anyone would do once you get to the river there is sand! And the river is crystal clear Lol. electric running water bathrooms showers and laundry matt if you need one all here ! No there isnt a in ground pool but why would you come to north conway for a pool ? Its called saco river for a reason ! Place is quiet and comfortable great for kids there is a playground here also! .. so next time your looking for a great camp ground to stay at with your family make beach's camp ground your next visit

Yelp
Horrible customer service. Unkempt sites. People walk right through your site. Power kept going out. We had coolers and other items stolen from our site. DO NOT camp here. Go to Eastern Slopes or Saco Family campgrounds.
google avatar

Dana F.

Yelp
I found the prices to be very reasonable. The sites are largely spaced and close to the beach. The bathrooms and showers were very clean and well maintained. The quiet time is for the consideration of families who want to wind down early. Therefore, if you like to party or be loud in general, this campground would not be your best choice. If you like to wind down early...then it is ideal!! I would definitely recommend for a quiet, relaxing stay.

Ms. E.

Yelp
Although it can be a bit overcrowded at times, it is still fun and well managed (probably why it's so busy sometimes). The two beaches have gorgeous mountain views!!

Sa S.

Yelp
If you have a RV and like those parking lot type campgrounds with large shade trees and to be with your RV brothers and sisters, then this is the place for you. We are tent campers, so it wasn't for us. The sites are squashed together with no privacy and everything gets covered in fine road dust from vehicles driving back and forth and from the river tours company driving through. The restrooms were pretty clean as far as campground's go. The staff were friendly. The quiet hours don't seem to be enforced. We had neighbors laughing and yelling as late a 3AM. The one redeeming thing was easy access to the river. If you have floatation and want access to the river make this your last choice for there are two other campgrounds along the river.

Diane L.

Yelp
WE HAVE NEW OWNERS, HORRAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! The new owners are great. They are trying to get the Beach back to the way it used to be.the campground is starting to get people back.its going to take a little while, but they are working very hard to make camping at the Beach Campgroung.as great as it used to be. We have camped there for a lot of years, and I can already feel like the family Campgroung that it used to be..We were there from October 2 to the 12 th. we had a wonderful week, and all our family, feel the same way. Please give The Beach Campground another chance. 10/12/2015

Kristin B.

Yelp
My family and I have been camping here for 13 years! We absolutly love it! The beach's crystal clear water is perfect for swimming, tubing, rope swinging, and making memories! My son (11) grew up in this campground and loves riding his bike around and swimming all day!

Allison J.

Yelp
We came in without reservations and they accommodated us on the spot. We had an amazing campsite on the river. It was a great treat to wake up to the river. They have bathrooms and showers. Quite time is 10 PM and the place was silent. For a small fee they will shuttle you up the river and you can float back to camp. We loved it and would come back.

Jake R.

Yelp
The worst staff possible, they live to just toss you around. Bathrooms were horrendous. I went to use them and there was actual human excrement ON the toilet not IN. The ground (still talking about the bathrooms) constantly had an inch thick layer of mud on it. The wood they sell for camp fires is way over priced... we bought wood from a separate establishment down the road for half the price. The staff will( from my experience) favor higher paying tenets over you. They also enjoy belittling and reminding you how insignificant you are. (Again my experience). So over all what do I have to say about the beach campground? The wifi isn't that bad? And...oh yeah...there is a place right down the road that will provide a superior service for your family's vacation to the white mountain's. P.S if your idea of a beach is a glorified sand barge with more rocks then sand, I guess you'll have a great time. -J

Troy C.

Yelp
This campground's management is terrible! They double booked our site so we had to move our camper two days into our stay. Then our neighbors kept us up until 2:00 am drinking and being extremely loud. 'Quiet time' is at 10, and no one came around to enforce it, nor were they available to take the complaint on the rowdy neighbors. The campground is a nice spot on the river but I would recommend trying a different campground on the river...

Jennifer H.

Yelp
The cost should have been my first warning...after looking for several weeks for a campground for a reasonable price for a tent site, I came across this camp ground. The price was great, however nothing else was. We arrived on a rainy day, got our tent up, checked out the beach (which was very nice, but what beach on the saco isn't). Little did we know that we would find our camp site flooded along with several other campers just a few hours after arriving. The roads to the entire campsite were compeletly washed out and campers where moved from one site to another near the bathrooms in evening hours during a rain storm. After years of camping I had never seen a campground flood like this or a lack of concern for the campers from the staff. The staff was unfriendly and unwilling to help move their campers "none of the staff new how to take down tents or help hook up campers" according to a staffer while parents tried to pack up their kids and their entire campsites around 8pm, the staff also claimed they tried to inform us of the change in sites as the water got closer andcloser by phone, however we had no messages from them or missed calls, when we asked for a refund because apparently this area of the campground floods often, we were told "they don't charge for sunshine," By the end of it all we walked away from the campground around 10pm and will never return. After talking to people in the area about our experience after we found a hotel....this campground does floods often!

Maureen S.

Yelp
The Beach Camping Area has been and will continue to be by far my favorite campground. I have been camping here for more than 30 plus years and I will continue to do so as long as I can. As far as Jake R's comments I wouldn't trust his review as far as I could throw them. I was camping at the Beach Camping Area at the exact same time that he was and know for a fact that he was a horrendous guest to the campground, and was eventually removed from the premises by the No. Conway Police Department. The staff has been more than accommodating and pleasent to each and every camper regardless of their so called "higher paying tenents." I have never had any items stolen from my site, and it's not the campgrounds fault that people have no respect for the campground rules as to cutting through the sites. You should polietly ask them not to and if it continues you contact the office. They can't fix a problem if they don't know about it. right then and there. The Beach Camping Area is a small family run campground with a perfect locations along the Saco River and yes the beach is a bit rocky but the water has beautiful sands bars every where to enjoy. I would certianly give them a chance as they a first time campground owners who wanted to continue the wonderful service that their father offered after his unfortunate death.
