The Beach House

We stopped by The Beach House at Blackmans Bay for a coffee around 5 pm and really enjoyed the environment – both inside and out. The location is beautiful, with a relaxing coastal vibe that makes it a lovely spot to unwind. Although it was a busy time, there was only one staff member working, which did slow things down a bit. However, considering the circumstances, they managed the crowd quite well and stayed calm and courteous throughout. The coffee was good, and the overall experience was positive. It’s a great place to enjoy a drink with a view, especially if you’re not in a rush. With a bit more staffing during peak times, it would definitely be even better. We’d be happy to visit again!

We had our wedding at this beautiful venue. Dylan and his team were nothing sort of amazing and made our dreams come true with the service and food. Our guest were amazed at the quality of the service and food. The venue was absolutely breathtaking and it turned out to be perfect. Came here twice with my partner. Nice view of the ocean, chill breeze, and decent food. It was good food but wouldn't say it's very special. The pizzas we got were nice, although not a large variety, I enjoyed it well. The crust, especially, were crispy and a little burnt, but it was to my liking. The desserts we got did not really make much of an impression for me. Drinks were fine, too. Enjoyed sitting out on the small couch and watching the ocean in the breeze. Very nice vibe!!

I cannot fault this restaurant or the wonderful staff, I attend this venue most weeks whether it’s for a daily coffee or a treat of a meal, the staff are always accommodating and welcoming. As any other restaurant sometimes it is busy and staff can’t always stand around and sometimes the staff have a quick minute to chit chat with myself and my husband. I can understand the pressure of having to accommodate a quantity of customers and staff do an amazing job, I will always return with positivity. We are grateful to have such an amazing place just around the corner from home. The energy you bring is the energy you get in return

As always a delightful experience at The Beach House. Excellent service, delicious food and wine, and wonderful atmosphere. Extra special, and unexpected, was the arrival of a generous treat of cake (with sparkler) after one of our group was spotted opening birthday gifts at the end of our meal! Thank you. Had a beautiful meal for our Wedding Anniversary. The lamb shank just fell apart, Hubby had the seafood pasta, loved it. Followed by a Biscoff cheesecake and lime and mango panna cotta. Would definitely go back soon.

Called in for coffee after a beach and cliff walk, though had more time to kill and when I saw the menu could not resist trying a couple of dishes. Kitchen did not disappoint and everything was packed with flavour. Portion sizes were generous and I ended up taking home some of my main as it was too good to throw out. Bar was well stocked and wine list was decent and I chose a satisfying Tasmanian Pinot noir. I opted for indoor seating as it was a fairly warm day but noticed many more seats in the alfresco area at the front. Great place to rest, recharge and refuel your belly after a stroll along the Blackmans Bay coastline.

First meal in Hobart. Very impressed. Ordered the lamb shoulder, flat bread, seafood chowder and chicken parmi. All were phenomenal! We don't normally like chicken breast, but it was succulent! This place should be rated higher! For dessert we had sticky date pudding and Eton Mess, both were top notch. Loved the warm pudding and the vanilla flavored cream.
