I was a bit hesitant to go because there were many mixed reviews, but my husband and I decided to try it anyway. This is not in the main area of Port Douglas but a little bit further out and as we had a car for the day decided it would be worth giving it a go. I am so glad we did. It is set in a lovely atmosphere, eating out in the open although under a covered canopy and there were plenty of customers. We started with the Grilled Prawns which were delicious. I then had the mussels, and my husband had a pizza (which we can’t remember which one but was fairly plain as he wanted to add the Italian sausage and spicy salami). Both meals were wonderful. We also had the Ciabatta which came with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and garlic butter. It was good to be able to have all three. Service was great, the food was great, and the atmosphere was great. We will be going back when we are in Port Douglas again.

We had a great experience overall. The calamari was very tender, and the ciabatta was fresh and delicious. The pizza was large and full of flavour. Service was friendly and quick, and the venue itself looked really nice and inviting. Only downside was the music—it was a bit too loud at times, which made conversation a little difficult. Otherwise, definitely worth a visit!

had a reservation for 7:30, we all had our food by 8:05. food was delicious i devoured mine so quickly because it was so good (gnocchi sorrennita). the serving sizes weren’t huge so ordering a side is reccomended, i had garlic focaccia and it was so good. if you’re stopping in port douglas you have to visit! service was also really great considering how busy it was!

We had the calamari, mari e monti pizza and vongole pasta which were all delicious. We over ordered as that calamari starter was generous but very tasty, so no regrets there but we definitely had to walk it off after all that food for lunch. Server was lovely and attentive also.

Service was poor, waiters did not seem to know what was happening in there allocated area, customers who arrived after us, orders taken, informed the lady at the desk, “your waiter will come” but did nothing to follow up on this. Trying to attract waiters attention was very hard, yes they were busy. Entree came, no drinks, had to ask for them. The gnocchi was tasteless, the 300g steak was over cooked and definitely was not 300g. The lamb cutlets were nice but room temperature on arrival. The pink lemonade was superb for my daughter! Over priced for what we got. The place was busy with customers. We must of been unlucky.

Beautiful place but very average tasting meals, especially for the price. The lasagna was cold in the middle and piping hot on the edges, indicating it was frozen and then microwaved. Prawn pasta lacked flavour, so salt and pepper were needed and although al dente was attempted for the actual pasta, it was a little undercooked still. Some staff were extremely friendly and helpful, but others were not. For example we asked for the bill and were just given it and then left to our own devices for quite some time before we needed to ask another waiter if they bring the eftpos machine or if we have to go up. Very expensive for average meals

Ordered at 6:45 Got our entrees at 7:15 which were great! then waited and waited for our mains. 8:15 comes around and they said the chef burnt the steak so they are redoing it. Mains came out at 8:37 partner got streak which was burnt anyways on the outside and like half a potato’s worth of mash. I got lamb cutlets which came with two tiny pieces one was charcoal and again the tiniest bit of mash, the best thing was the green beans. Looked at photos online after leaving and realised it was meant to come with at least 4! Even the table next to me had more on there plate. Bill was originally $265 got 10% discount but still not happy at all! Definitely should have said something more there but was sick of it.
