The Beach Waikiki Hostel by ALOH

The BEST hostel experience I’ve ever had. The rooms are basic but clean and the facilities are great. They have beach stuff you can rent. The staff and everyone staying are extremely helpful and friendly. The roof is such a fun vibe as well! I stayed in a mixed dorm and ended up being the only woman, but the guys in my room were amazing! I cannot recommend this place enough—book ASAP because they fill up quickly (for good reason!)!!

Beach Waikiki Hostel is a truly special place with incredible staff, volunteers, and some of the nicest people I’ve met passing through every day. The location is amazing, with free breakfast, clean rooms, complimentary beach gear, and fun discounted tours available daily. The rooftop is a great spot to relax during the day and enjoy events at night. This was my first hostel experience, and I enjoyed it so much that I ended up extending my stay. Special shoutout to the staff—Zain, Ivory, Tim, and Royal—for taking such great care of me, and to the volunteers who are always happy to help or just chat. Beach Waikiki set the bar extremely high, and I can only hope my future hostel stays are as special as this one.

I’ve stayed at many hostels both in the US and other countries and this one is by far one the best one I’ve stayed at for the price I’ve payed. The staff are very friendly and inviting. I came on my own and stayed in the 4 bunk women’s only room and I’ve met so many friends during my stay here. The rooms are descent and they have a shared bathroom with shower and a ceiling fan/ AC unit. (The AC is mainly why I picked this hostel). You can borrow surfboards, swim tubes, and they also have mini pancakes and coffee every morning. I had no issues with anything whatsoever. I will definitely stay here again the next time I come to Hawaii and I’ll bring my friends as I know they would love to stay here too. My flight doesn’t leave until 11:30pm and they still let me leave my things there (any valuables they even lock up for you) and let me use their downstairs shower and other amenities. No other hostels let you do that! 10/10 experience!

I had an incredible experience staying at The Beach Waikiki Hostel by ALOH. The location alone is unbeatable—just steps from Waikiki Beach, great food spots, and everything you need within walking distance. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, making it super easy to meet people whether you’re traveling solo or with friends. The staff went above and beyond the entire stay. They’re helpful, welcoming, and genuinely care about making sure you have a great time. The rooms and common areas were clean, comfortable, and well-kept, and the rooftop lounge was a perfect place to unwind after a long day at the beach. For the price, value, and location, this hostel is honestly hard to beat. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, safe, and convenient place in Waikiki. Mahalo to the whole team for an awesome stay! 🌺🌴

I'm so glad I booked my stay here! The location of the hostel is super close to the beach, and they offer tons of awesome excursions too! I loved the atmosphere of the hostel, and I was able to meet tons of cool people. The rooms were very clean, and well maintained, and included AC, a fridge, microwave and personal lockers. I highly recommend this hostel, you won't regret booking your stay here! :)

Overall for the price, this is a nice place to stay. It is located super close to the beach along with a ton of places to eat and shop. The staff is very nice and fun and the amount of stuff they provide for free or a low price is also very convenient. My only downsides are that even with a fan and the ac the room could be damp from time to time and it was hard to get things to dry. There was only one washer and dryer as well (that I was aware of) which made it very hard to try to do laundry. I also wish there was atleast a drawer for each person to put their stuff in and a mirror outside of the bathroom, but other than that, I would stay here again!

Great community, a lot of fun little activities planed by the hostel. The guest and the staff were really open and kind, felt very safe and welcome. The location is the best with a 3 minute walk to the beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Really recommend it and will come again!!

Glad that I chose this hostel, it enhanced my overall experience in waikiki. The rooms were basic, but that's all you'll need. I stayed there for a week and had choosen a semi- private and it met my hygienic standard. The location is just perfect, right at edge of the town, close enough to the beach and just about everything else. The staff were helpful and welcoming especially Tim, who was the first guy I met and cleared just about my every doubt. They provide with the basic beach gear and organize mini social events at their cozy rooftop as well. The energy surrounding the hostel was really chill, positive and I met some amazing cheerful people there. It surely will be a beautiful memory.

FYI: Renting an entire apartment comprising three bedrooms, one bathroom/shower, the maximum PEEP=Seven to eight PEEPS may stay, i.e., $330 per night! Therefore, if, you group seven to eight friends renting the entire apartment, each person will pay $41.25 per night!!!! One Apartment--Three Bedrooms 1. Queen: 2 2. Bunks: 3 3. King + Single: 3-4? Critical Thinking--- A regular, one-bedroom, hotel room ANYWHERE in Honolulu will cost minimum, $110.00 PER NIGHT to nosebleed, $1000.00 per night, possibly MAY or may not have a kitchen . . . GO FIGURE!!!
