I took my children here to experience just how incredible their pancakes are. The Beacon did not disappoint:) Upon entering, I was greeted immediately with a smile and was attended too upon sitting down. Everyone was incredibly kind and made us feel so welcome! I ordered the Pineapple Upside Down pancakes and they literally were the best things on earth! My boys both sampled the cinnamon roll pancakes and loved them! The presentation on the Smiley Face pancakes for kids was the cutest thing ever. Great food and great staff!

This might just be the hidden gem in the Fort Worth area! The staff is the friendliest! You can find the owner cooking up these great items. She is super friendly and always has a minute to say hi!! The breakfast buffet is amazing. From the omelette bar with any and everything you can imagine to put in them to the pineapple upside down pancakes. They have so many different great pancakes like the blueberry with pecan, the cranberry white chocolate and my fav…the cinnamon swirl!! You won’t be disappointed…ever!! The only disappointment was that they didn’t have a wheelbarrow to take me to my truck!! 😂 Sadly, they’ve lost their lease and are looking for a new location. The last day (for now) is January 18th so get here while you still can! So, if you know somewhere they can move in the north Fort Worth area, please let the owner know! I’d hate to see this place go!

Such a great place to eat. Excellent food and so many options to choose from, the service was amazing, and atmosphere was so welcoming and fun. They were absolutely amazing in taking care of the 25-30+ Jeeps that came in for brunch today.

My absolute, most favorite, was "The Beacon Cafe" at Hicks Airport. The move to 287 B business, brought the same good people and food to that location. Still close to our home on EML. We occasionally eat at "Wing It" at Hicks Field, watch the take offs and landings, as I'm still in aviation since the Marine Corps in '71. Unfortunately the new place is through a lot of traffic at a much greater distance, which will preclude our spur of the moment decisions to go to breakfast. Lot of changes in 70+ years. Guess this is just another.... I wish you well...

It's such a disappointment that this place just isn't what it used to be. We went for breakfast and the food is very bland. Bacon was under cooked, sausage was over cooked and not very tasty. The fact that they are trying to add Mexican food in with the buffet, it just doesn't work well. The French Toast was the only decent thing we had and the wife and I both said we wouldn't go back. Really sad that this place has gone down hill.......

We ordered French toast and greek salad. Greek salad could have been prepared better, french toast was okay. But the service was really fast and good.

I love their food but holy cow, the service can be rough. Asked if we could order a Reuben sandwich without 1000 Island dressing... got told nope, they're pre-made and reheated. Ew, what? Maybe she misunderstood the question? Dunno. This location is closing and apparently they already got rid of the vent fan because the air quality was terrible. I wish them well in their new space but things need to change

Just as our visit I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Beacon Cafe! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and the food was perfect. Their breakfast buffet offers an amazing & delicious selection of pancakes—you can tell every stack is made with care, light, fluffy, and perfectly golden. The variety is top tier too, from classic buttermilk to more inventive topped pancakes (🍍upside-down 🥞 😋), there’s something for everyone. What really stood out was the tamale meatballs suggested to us by another restaurant patron. The blended rich, tender texture of meatballs with that bold, savory tamale flavor in such a creative way. They’re definitely a must‑try. The rest of the breakfast buffet keeps up the high standard: fresh fruit, sides, excellent coffee, perfectly scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and more. Service was friendly and prompt, the staff made sure everything was clean and well stocked. Definitely going back...The Beacon Cafe is quickly becoming our weekend go‑to breakfast spot. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious morning treat!

The all you can eat buffet (weekends only) is amazing. Sundays can be pretty busy if you get there after 11am. Staff are friendly. Food is delicious. They do encourage cash as pymt but will take cards.

TLDR: a sudden increase in patrons due to social media probably gave me a different experience than if I had visited before last weekend or visited during the week. I might try them again another time and see if I have a different experience. I saw that they had a $17 buffet on Tik Tok so I decided to check it out with a friend. A lot went wrong that was out of the restaurants control- they had no idea that someone posted them and were not prepared for the sudden influx of people. We waited and waited and waited to be seated and then had to wait again for the buffet line ( over an hour and a half before we were eating). They had two servers for the entire restaurant and those women were hustling. The restaurant has a tin roof and with all the people going in and out and the hot grill at the back, I felt like we were eating outside. Everyone was sweating. It.was.so.hot. When we reached the plates for the buffet line , they were all greasy as if they hadn't been washed properly. The food wasn't bad, but the best things by far were the pancakes and French toast made to order . I also liked the cheddar sausage and biscuit. The people are nice, the food is decent and worth the price , but the long lines, the heat, and the greasy plates didn't allow me to really enjoy my meal.

Beacon is now in with Frescos on Hwy 377. Had an amazing breakfast today. The French toast was so delicious and huge! The eggs were some of the best I've had. The bacon was crispy like we asked. The service was outstanding. I can't wait to go back!

They have a buffet and the food tastes really good. The service is great and the restaurant is very clean. I definitely recommend coming here!

The brunch buffet was amazing and you can order off the menu if you prefer. Made to order omelets. Bacon is flavorful and. Crispy. Hash browns were cheesy and seasoned just right. First time here, looking forward to next time!

On the weekends they do a buffet, and there can be quite a wait. It's one of the few local businesses in the area, surrounded by chains popping up along 287. Sometimes the staff have human emotional reactions to customers taking out their impatience on them, such as sighing or feeling overwhelmed I'm sure. One of the benefits of being human is giving them the benefit of the doubt while they're doing the best they can! Beacon Cafe has my fav pancakes by far in DFW. They're perfectly fluffy every time. The cafe, like many other local options, encourages cash payments (though still takes card, for the record). Not unheard of considering how much credit card fees can affect a small business. There's always ihop or Waffle House if that aspect is so bothersome!

This was a buffet style breakfast but they also have a menu for those that are looking for something particular. The staff was super friendly. My coffee never got cold or low. The fruit was fresh and full of flavor. The egg/omelet station was faster than I expected. The pancakes were great. The French toast was a surprise because it's like 2 inches thick lol. The whole family enjoyed it as well as my friends that met us there. It was busy but had zero issues with waiting for anything Definitely going back for more.

Checked out Beacon Cafe. Was initially annoyed bc someone posted about it but it isn't in FW proper...so had to drive a half hour. Soooo worth it. Everything we tried was next level....cold brew with cold foam (I had 2)...pancake trio (blueberry w/ lemon curd butter + pineapple upside down + cinnamon roll)...migas. So many items are housemade. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Made a bunch of other resto recs. The vibe is a mix between old school diner and Route 66. Love.

Okay I was surprised with a homemade blackberry syrup that is to die for. This place never disappoints. What a great way to end the week and an even better way to start my Sunday off.

my food was great but my server was really rude. she was the big lady with glasses and long hair. i asked for ranch and she signed and rolled her eyes, when she brought it back to the table she kind of threw it down and it slid across the table. next time we come back we will ask for a different server because she ruined the whole experience. great food though!

I love this place for the breakfast Buffett. I miss the days when I could watch tiny planes but I still go for the omelettes and pancakes made to order.

If you're looking for a local place that serves an AMAZING breakfast.....look no further. This is actually my third time here and can't believe I neglected to review them yet. Saturday morning they have the buffet. But it's no ordinary buffet. It's $15 a person and some really good choices. Made to order omelettes. Some of the best pancakes I've EVER had in my life. Yes! I just said these pancakes are that good. Lite! Fluffy and amazing taste. I wish I knew how to duplicate them. Then they have this link sausages with cheese that are in edible as well. I believe they're made locally in Denton County. All this as well and they do lunch as well.

I want to start by saying I LOVE this place because I normally do not order pancakes but I do when I come here. They are my favorite. I also really love the sausage. The staff are soo friendly. You can tell they enjoy what they do. I would say it is alittle warm in there but it doesn't deter us from stopping in for a bite!

Couldn't try the food, maybe based on other reviews we didn't miss much. Eerie on the cash preference over card. What kinda business with more than enough open tables and people waiting is this? Maybe we can come back and actually eat but the 6 times were told be right back and never getting to join a list were there were other several waiting families just didn't sit right with our family. Bummed it was only 10 min away from our home.

You could improve by providing customer service training and how to react under pressure. We will wait for an hour if the attitude is better. We were extremely excited about trying this place out. Unfortunately when we walked in we were met with deep sighs and "I'll be with you in a sec" to continue walking away 6 times never once asking for a name or confirmation of us in line. The propaganda about asking your customers to pay in cash rather than card was just a cherry on top of the kind of business it unfortunately showed us.

First timers at this diner. What a GEM!! The food, DELICIOUS, The service, ON POINT, The Ambiance, COUNTRY BIKER. The wife had the migas, wow, just like mama used to make. I had the weekend AYCE buffet. ($16.99 adult/$11.99 senior/ $8.99 kids). What a selection, Omelettes anyway you want, Eggs anyway you want, French toast, pancakes (see picture for flavors). And a huge sides station. I had three eggs over medium, bacon, potatoes, toast and pancakes. All for $11.99. I could only do one serving but if you have a huge appetite this place is for you. The food was absolutely delicious. Our waitress was so on point and friendly. Kudos!

Found this place on a search for brunch and it was a win! On Saturday and Sunday they have this INCREDIBLE BUFFET for only 16.99. I had the Breakfast Avocado with bacon and it was so refreshing and delicious. My fiancé had the buffet which included an omelet, pancakes and French toast that he was raving about. Not only was the food AMAZING the staff was so kind and helpful! Joanne was our server and she was so fun and helpful explaining the buffet since it was our first time! 10/10 recommend!

One of my favorite places to eat breakfast! The menu items are overall great, with generous portions. But if I was to suggest anything, is to come in on a weekend and have the buffet. They serve French toast, specialty pancakes (cinnamon swirl, pineapple upside down, blueberry, strawberry, and their most recent- blueberry lemon curd *absolutely delicious*) Scrambled eggs or omelettes freshly made to order, bacon, sausage. Watermelon juice or pineapple juice Bread pudding Biscuits and gravy Chicken enchilada And some spicy foods for those who like a kick in the mouth. Fresh fruit with really sweet and ripe berries, grapes, and others The environment encompasses a retro feel with large restrooms and good music playing. And they have specialty coffees- frappes, cappuccinos, etc. If I was to complain, I'd say the only thing missing are crêpes.

Absolutely recommend if your ever in the Haslet area. The service here is pretty great, the response time is quick. The inside is AWESOME and just brings joy and curiosity, don't forget the 80s' music; it totally brings the vibe of the diner together! And the food. Don't even get me started, absolutely loved it, 10/10 recommend the gyros and eggs dish. The meat just melts in your mouth and the potato's are stellar. Tried some of the dirty eggs and hash, they were pretty good. Don't have any bad things to say about this place!

Good variety of foods. We did the buffet on New Year's day for breakfast. I especially liked the fresh fruits and juice. The service was good and the place was busy. I liked their menu items and portions. The atmosphere is old school diner vibe. They are good with their starch items, pancakes and waffles and bread items. The meatballs (chorizo? I forgot the Mexican flavor) is a must have.

Heading out of town for a trip & decided we needed breakfast at a non brand place. Food looked so good we had to try. So we didn't know they had breakfast buffet on the weekends. All 4 of us got the buffet, I do not know what is on the menu. We all had a little bit of everything, everything was good, nothing we hated! They recommended the watermelon water & pineapple upside down pancake & OMG they were so good! If the timing in another trip we would totally stop again.

Ordered for pick up. The food qualities OK but I $14 dinner cost me 19 with tags and credit card these. Essential that you pay cash here or your mail cost way too much!

This is a lovely mom and pop breakfast brunch place with very friendly service and fantastic food. A hidden gem here in Haslet! They have a breakfast buffet for $16.99 with delicious omelette, spicy cheese sausage, variety of fruits, pie bread, healthy juices, mac and cheese, etc. surprised we never discovered this place until recently. Will definitely be back a lot!!!

Staff can ruin a restaurant no matter how good the food is. Excited to try the Ft Worth Star Telegram 24th best restaurant in Ft Worth. Never tried a bit because of the waitress not caring or even wanting to be at work. While waiting for our food we noticed people carrying plated of what looked like wonder food back to the table. We wondered if there was a buffet. If they offer a buffet why would our waitress not mention a buffet. Did not see it on the menu or on the website. Then we talked about waitress that could not stop yawning. Never mentioned anything other than do you you know what you want yet after she brought our waters. Remember hearing stories of waiting hours to get inside at the old airport location. Today walked in to restaurant with many empty seats at 12:15

For a Cafe you think more of cafe food. Not burgers and sandwiches. Prices are expensive as well! Let's say we didn't stay to eat because we waited & waited. Mind you, it wasn't that busy! Table next to us sat down after us and got drink order served & was taking order for food. We were not greeted at any point. We are patient to wait had someone even said we will be right with you. "No problem" NOTHING! Kid that sat us could have at least taken our drink order. Guess his phone was too important! We were out in the area starving and thought it looked like a great place to eat. We left and smell like the place with empty stomach! Good Luck Beacon Cafe!

This place is a 10/10 highly recommend! The pancakes are made to order and are so good! Crispy edges and you can get a variety, like strawberry, pineapple, cinnamon swirl or others! Eggs made to order and the sweet was just right! I loved the bacon! I will be making this my regular brunch spot! Excellent!

Our waitress was amazing and no complaints about her service. They advertise being #24 in almost 1200 restaurants in Fort Worth, but after eating there today, either all standards are lower now or The Beacon has really dropped the ball. We have eaten at the Beacon for many years, starting at the original location on the airfield and the food has always been wonderful until today. I ordered my usual French toast breakfast. The whole reason I love it is because they use almond flavoring in the batter. Today, the bread was more stale and harder to chew than usual, the whipped butter was a cheap margarine, and the French toast tasted eggy, with no almond flavor. The meal comes with eggs and sausage or bacon. I chose bacon and scrambled eggs with cheese. The bacon was very old and cold and tough like it was left over from early morning cooking and the eggs were cold, strong tasting and there was no cheese in them. Even the syrup was a poor quality. What happened to the great food and quality ingredients?! I asked the waitress if there was a substitute chef today or if there were new owners. She said no. I told her about the food. She told me she paid for my meal. I certainly hope not. I left her a nice tip, but if she comp'd my meal, the cafe should've absorbed the cost and not the waitress. In the end, my daughter said she wished I would've cooked it for her at home instead. She had the same meal and was disappointed also. I'd like to say I'd go back and try again, but this might be the last time for me. Breakfast entrees are $14.99 each and it's a little costly to gamble on whether it will be good or not on the day you go. Update: I'm changing this from 2 stars to 1 star based on the sarcastic and rude response of the owner/manager. I stand by everything I mentioned in the review. I was never given an opportunity to have my breakfast remade or I would've accepted that. I didn't wait to leave to make a review. I actually spoke to someone while I was there before I ever decided to leave a review. I never even mentioned pralines. In fact my review is on point with no exaggeration. The bacon was really like beef jerky it was so tough and cold, but I didn't want to sound too harsh. Everything else was as bad as I stated above. If quality ingredients were used to make this meal, something happened to where it wasn't quality when it was served to the table. That's not on me to figure out, that's on you. I would never post something that is untrue. I've supported your local business for many years, but the quality isn't there anymore and I can't pretend it was good just because I believe in supporting local.

We have now tried this place three times. The first time we went, our waitress did not even tell us about the buffet breakfast. She told us after we ate and paid for our meal. I ordered the classic breakfast. 2 eggs, bacon, toast and potatoes. I ordered the eggs over easy. They came out and they were rock hard. The service was standard. Nothing special or memorable. Hubby said the corn beef was good. Gma said her breakfast was cold. The second time my husband and Gina went by themselves. They ordered the buffet. They said that the biscuits were hard, but other than that everything else was decent. Fresh omelet station was the best thing about it. We decided to give it another try this morning. It is so close to our house and would be great! Unfortunately i think this was the last time. Our waitress was great when she took our order. Annnnnnd that was the last time we saw her. My husband had coffee and before we even got our food it was empty and never refilled. A runner dropped off our food and we didn't see anyone until it was time for our check. I ordered a burger this time. It would have been decent, but they put the deconstructed burger on the plate for me to make myself, which is fine. However, it did not have may on it, so i waited 15 minutes for someone to come, when no one did i went and asked someone near the Buffett area. Now my burger was cold. And they put the top bun on a lake of liquid so it was completely soggy. Honestly for a $20 burger, it was a waste of money. Would have rather spent $20 at McDonalds than over $50 for brunch.

The Beacon has a buffet on Saturday all day. The price is very reasonable, and all the food is made to order. The benches at the tables ate a little hard to sit on, but the food was so good, I didn't care. The ha e an egg station, and a pancake station, and chafing dishes with other food. It is all you can eat, so you will never leave hungry..

Everything tastes great, breakfast and lunch! Service is fast and friendly. LOVE the Hash and Eggs + Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes!!! Sweet Tea with a Lemon and I'm good to go for a few weeks... then I crave it all over again lol. We use to visit when they were located on small airport runway because our Kids loved that. They moved locations but maintained the same great taste that satisfies the taste buds every time. To sample the menu, I recommend visiting during weekends for brunch. Bon appetite!

I love everything about Beacon Cafe! Not only do they have a 5 star buffet but they also offer made fresh to order, omelets, French toast, and mouth watering varieties of pancakes all made from scratch and amazing, The buffet offers fresh fruit, two kinds of fruit water, gravy, biscuits, sausage, bacon and several breakfast casseroles and other delicious breakfast foods, Christie the owner is always friendly and happy, makes an dining atmosphere of a country home eatery. The service was friendly and attentive Nice place to eat and visit with family or friends.

An outstanding hole in the wall with a creative chef, incredible breakfast, and a lunch menu I can't wait to try. I'm addicted to their "Dirty Eggs and Hash," which is authentic corned beef hash (not the canned stuff), deli mustard, Sriracha, caramelized onions, and homestyle potatoes. Enjoy!

The service is amazing, but those upside down pineapple pancakes w/pecans* (*you can add those...you'll thank me later) are the business!!! A really good friend of mine and his wife told me about this place 2-3 years ago and I've been coming ever since and telling everyone about it!

The good and service here are always really good and genuine. Portion size is a pretty good amount. I ordered one of the pineapple upside down pancakes with a side of bacon and it was very filling. The coffee is delicious and not watered down. They bring the coffee in a to go cup with the option of a lid for you to take it with you and there is plenty of creamer on the table so you don't have to ask for more. The booths are big enough to fit my infant car seat with plenty of space for the family. The food is delicious, anything you order. The price is reasonable and the service is friendly and quick. A must whenever we go out to eat. They also gave my daughter a toy plane that you build yourself, which she loved.

On top of the regular menu, and the weekend breakfast buffet, lately Chef Christie has been doing $9.99 lunch specials Wednesday-Friday. You get an entree, side, dessert and sweet tea, all for $9.99! I've been ordering that most days, and the food is always delicious, and I've sometimes tried something new and ended up loving it. Some of my favorite lunch specials are the chili cheeseburger; Cajun meatloaf sandwich; chicken and apricot salad sandwich on toasted bread; chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich; blackened chicken sandwich; chicken wrap; and taco salad. Keep an eye on their FB page; they usually advertise the daily special, and sometimes I've rearranged my work day just to take advantage of it.

This is THE ONLY PLACE ANYONE IN THE AREA should go for breakfast!!!! Service is awesome buffet is great! Love the Harley theme and they have Gluten free options that are really amazing!!! Just go!
