The Bean Inn

Every time we've eaten here we've had a superb meal. The flavours that go into the beautifully designed dishes are wonderful and nearly every dish on the menu is vegan or has the option of being served as a vegan version. A friendly team and a lovely setting make this a consistent favourite of ours for a memorable meal out. If you haven’t been in to the Bean Inn for lunch or dinner yet, you need to change that!

We had a brilliant meal at The Bean Inn — everything we tried was full of flavour and really well thought out. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. It’s great to find a fully vegan restaurant where the food isn’t just good for vegan food — it’s just genuinely tasty. Prices were very reasonable too, especially for the quality. Would definitely go back next time we’re in the area. Highly recommended for vegans and non-vegans alike.

We had a wonderful vegan meal. We couldn't resist a starter and dessert as well as the main! The curry with stuffed potato cakes was delicious. So good we have booked for another evening. How wonderful to have such good vegan or vegetarian food as an option on our trip to St Ives

The Bean Inn is a charming and small restaurant and BnB. We ate there for dinner and the food was delicious. We both had a mushroom bourguignon which managed such a robust and full flavour that most restaurants would struggle to achieve. The service was attentive and kind. For us it was our favourite dining experience during our stay in Carbis Bay. Notably it was significantly better vegetarian cuisine than anything we tried in the much fancier (and expensive) Carbis Bay Hotel.

We had a truly beautiful food experience at The Bean Inn. Day trip and needed to find some Vegan options in Cornwall (which is never easy)! This exceeded our expectations. Staff were wonderful and the food was perfect. Great flavours and top quality food options.

This was the most tasty and delicious vegetarian food I’ve ever eaten! Being a vegetarian, I’ve eaten in a lot of good vegetarian restaurants. But this food was so delightful. You can tell a lot of care and expertise has gone into the food recipes and presentation. Well done! Run by too very lovely ladies who are very attentive hosts. Such a shame I’m only visiting St Ives as I would be a frequent customer. I’d suggest choose something you wouldn’t normally eat as you’re likely to be in for a lovely surprise. If meat eaters wish to try a very flavoursome alternative, that’s not only tasty but extremely good for you as well. The deserts were wonderful- my chocolate and orange mud pie with orange and ginger sauce and a choice of ice cream or clotted cream (naughty) - whilst chatting to my host was a great way to end my evening. . Loved it! Small personal and friendly with lovely fresh ingredients! Best to book early (days in advance) as fills up fast! Pictured are three of the main courses on menu for mid July 2022 Mushroom bouginuon, pasta with fresh pesto, pea curry with stuffed potato cakes. All lovely. ❤️

Lovely cosy restaurant. Would definitely recommend a visit. We were made really welcome and even though we arrived early, we were not rushed, everything was timed perfectly. The food was really well presented and delicious. The waiter that served us was very friendly and professional.
