If I could give this place more than five stars, I absolutely would! I stayed here for two nights and genuinely wished I had planned a longer visit—for many reasons.
We arrived around noon on our first day and were warmly welcomed by the kind and attentive staff. Our room was ready within about 15 minutes, which gave us time to receive a helpful orientation and our complimentary traveler pass for free city bus rides.
The bedroom was spacious, especially considering the charming house it’s located in. The bathroom was well-sized—no awkward maneuvering around the shower, toilet, or sink (photos attached for reference). While there’s no air conditioning, the ceiling fan worked well, and the windows can be opened for fresh air.
Breakfast was just what I hoped for, with a nice selection including boiled eggs. I especially appreciated the option to enjoy coffee or tea at any time of day. I found it relaxing to sip herbal tea in the evening by the bedroom window.
The location is ideal—just a quick 10-minute bus ride to the main train station, or a pleasant 15–20-minute walk into the heart of town.
We spent both days exploring Lucerne and visiting Mt. Pilatus, usually returning around 6 or 7 p.m. A small note: the walls are thin, so it’s best to be mindful and quiet in the hallways during the evening hours.
Overall, this is a charming and character-filled place nestled in a residential neighborhood. I’d absolutely stay here again!
