The Beige

Most amazing two day stay of my life. Must try for people who want to get away from business of life to just soak in nature. Staff is very professional and kind ..They do their best to meet your needs. limited food options but good food,good spa, speCial shout out to Mollika for making my stay unforgettable

Me and my daughter spent two days here in room no 2 with a private pool. The tent was excellent and we felt right at home. The hotel kindly arranged for a tour guide for the temples, and he turned out to speak excellent English and being very knowledgeable about not only the temples but also the culture politics and religion. ||The staff is always very friendly, and on their toes. However some of them lacks some language skills, so misunderstandings around ordering food etc can occur. They are happy to correct those though, and always with a smile.||As for food the options are a little bit limited, but it all tastes very good, and is very fresh. Breakfast could be improved by offering more of a continental breakfast, I.e toast croissant marmalade cheese and ham. We did not try the Khmer options for breakfast, but coffees and the orange juice were excellent.||The biggest drawback was loud music from the nearby village. It went on until around 10pm and started at 7am again. It wasn’t extremley loud but enough to wake us up in the morning and to disturb the sunset on our terrace somewhat. Without the music it would have been a clear five star rating.||I sincerely hope the music issue can be resolved in the future because without it, this hotel is a real gem. If in Cambodia again we will return.

I’ve never stayed at a place where staffs outnumber guests. The service was impeccable in a very laid back and friendly way. The staffs are extremely helpful yet friendly as if they are your friends, unlike those formal straight ups at Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton. The room was beautiful. But our pool and the public pool may need more routine cleanup. There was some algae and insects. There was some noise from the neighbors loud music, often between 6-8am, but it’s more like a bass thump, my light sleeping partner slept through it all 3 nights.

We had a delightful stay at the BEIGE. The staff could not have been more attentive to our needs, giving us great recommendations on things to do, food to eat and making sure our room was really comfortable. Our 3 year old loved the marshmallow roasting activity and meeting Rambai the elephant!||We also had the most fantastic tour of Angkor Wat and Bayon with Tom the tour guide. He had such a great knowledge of the history, knew the quiet routes around the temples (great photo spots) and customised the pace to cater to our 3 year old and pregnant wife. Not to mention his excellent English. Also, on the way back, we stopped off at a market and Tom picked up some apples for our son - his favourite fruit. Make sure you ask if Tom is available on your trip to Siem Reap!

We stayed in January 2024 for 4 days. The whole complex was magical and our #2 tented villa with pool was perfect. The staff were very attentive and charming. We enjoyed the different dishes we ate in the restaurant. We hired a car and driver through The Beige for 2 days and visited all the temples on our bucket list comfortably and stress free. The Beige is outside Siem Reap but that was part of the charm.

We had an incredible stay at The Beige. We can’t say enough about the staff, who anticipate your every need, the incredible property, our ‘tent’ setup complete with a pool, and the other inhabitants (elephant, water buffalo). Not only was our stay amazing, but on top of that? We were blown away with what The Beige has done for the community. It is located in a village outside Angkor Wat and they have built both a school and a library there. We loved every minute and highly recommend it.

This hotel was such a cool unique experience to stay at. The rooms are very luxurious tents that feel like a hotel room on safari. (Don’t be intimidated— a few of my friends joining our party aren’t big fans of the outdoors and even they agreed it was a highlight of our vacation.) The tents have every amenity of a four star room. There is a charming elephant and 3 water buffalo that comes to greet guests every morning at breakfast. You can pet it and take pictures for free. The spa and infinity pool sits up in the treetops and you can see for miles over the jungle. The food and cocktails at the hotel were delicious. I recommend the frozen coconut rum special! The staff were friendly and completely accommodating. When I visit Ankor Wat again Im absolutely coming back to this hotel. Worth the money. |*Definitely book the airport pick-up service with the hotel. The driver was so helpful getting us back and forth.
