My girlfriend (now fiancé) and I had a wonderful stay at The Belfry. Clean and hospitable rooms, very fancy walk-in shower, and a great view of the church across the street. Easy access to the main attractions of Whitby such as the Abbey, the Whale Bone Arch, and the pier in which I had the opportunity to propose in the early hours of the morning. Overall great place with great service. Phill and Sophie, we will be returning for our next visit to Whitby in the future! Best of luck to you guys!

Excellent stay. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Our room was spacious and well equipped. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom looked brand new. The breakfast was perfect and the daily special provided a nice change to the usual full English. |The location of the hotel was perfect and parking was not an issue for us with the free parking permit provided. |The hosts were friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay here again when we return to Whitby.

We have stayed at The Belfry 8 times and have never been disappointed. Phill and Sophie are excellent hosts who go out of their way to make your visit to Whitby as enjoyable as you would want. They run an excellent hotel - comfortable, spotlessly clean and maintained to a very high standard. The full Yorkshire breakfast is very substantial and always fresh, hot and like the daily special, it is cooked to order. We've all stayed at hotels where breakfast has sat under warming lamps for goodness knows how long, but not at the Belfry. Your breakfast will be cooked for you while you wait.|I cannot speak too highly of the Belfry. We are looking forward to returning next year.

Another fab stay at The Belfry. Beautiful, bright room with everything we could have wanted. Comfy bed giving a good nights sleep, and the sofa in the room was a treat after long walks around Whitby. Luxurious bathroom with a great walk-in shower.|Breakfast was delicious with a good choice and specials each day. The blueberry pancakes were delicious.|The parking permit that is included for the duration of our stay was a real bonus.|Phill and Sophie are excellent hosts and we will certainly be back, but not leave it so long next time.

Excellent B&B it was spotless, good size room, fresh milk in fridge downstairs for people to use in room each day. Tea/coffee tray filled up daily. Lovely white soft towels. Breakfast was excellent which included cereals, fruit and yogurt, full english made to order. Loads of fruit juices available. Staff were so friendly and offered loads of advice where to visit and eat out. Will be booking again for next year. Phil and Sophie are fabulous hosts couldn’t do enough for you.

We had a lovely stay, the room was comfortable and clean with some lovely personal touches. The full English breakfast was really excellent, one of the best I've had in a while. The owners were very attentive and friendly, we would definitely recommend The Belfry.

Phil and Sofie are lovely hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are bright comfy. We were recommend this hotel from a friend of ours so this has been our 4th stay I cannot speak highly enough. We've booked for next year.
