Recently stayed here for a couple of nights, it was our first visit and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again. This B&B was recommended by a family member who stayed here in July & we were lucky to able to stay in room 7 which is on the top floor, a spacious, modern room with a comfy couch & bed as well as a free standing bath & a bathroom with a walk-in shower. Nice toiletries, generous hospitality tray & plenty of drawers/hangers for your luggage. Situated on a quiet side street across from the church with free parking on the road and the lovely friendly staff serve a great breakfast in the morning with lots of choice. Great place for a stay in Whitby.

My girlfriend (now fiancé) and I had a wonderful stay at The Belfry. Clean and hospitable rooms, very fancy walk-in shower, and a great view of the church across the street. Easy access to the main attractions of Whitby such as the Abbey, the Whale Bone Arch, and the pier in which I had the opportunity to propose in the early hours of the morning. Overall great place with great service. Phill and Sophie, we will be returning for our next visit to Whitby in the future! Best of luck to you guys!

Another great stay at the Belfry. Sophie and Phill are great hosts and the Belfry itself is welcoming, impeccably clean and beautifully decorated :)|We stayed (yet again) in the ‘Luxury Suite’, one of the two suites on the upper floor. A beautiful room with a lovely view across the street to St Hilda’s Church.

We stayed 2 nights at the Belfry and it was the perfect base for exploring the town, within close walking distance of the main attractions and the added benefit of free on-street car parking. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and had a lovely sea view. Would love to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
