The Bellafonte Bonaire

The stay was excellent. Rooms were spacious and clean. Easy entry into the ocean with snorkeling available just off the pier. Convenient to other snorkeling sites, Donkey, Te Amo, and Bachelors are walkable. Quick 10 min to ‘downtown’. Parking on site. Has a dive/snorkel locker for storing gear to keep rooms from getting sandy. Room had a great view of the ocean. Very peaceful mornings on the balcony drinking coffee from the coffee machine. As an FYI, the pool is super small, BUT the calm ocean is about 15 steps (literally) further - so easy. There is a nice restaurant next door.

Everything was excellent! As a woman traveling solo, feeling safe was extremely important to me, and I did, at all times. My Jr suite (apartment, really!) was spacious, well appointed, very tastefully decorated, and clean. The view from my balcony was amazing, looking out over the crystal clear turquoise water in the mornings and afternoons, and then the breathtaking sunsets at night. The front office staff couldn't possibly have been more helpful, making my rental car reservations and having the car there waiting for me when I arrived, making dive arrangements with VIP Diving (another home run in Bonaire imo), helping with directions and points of intetest,a and in addition, just being overall lovely people. The management should be proud of their staff..truly 1st class. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the guest room attendants..room immaculate and towels fresh.. but you never saw them! The Bellafonte is close to the airport, maximizing every minute of my vacation. I'm planning on coming back soon, hopefully late November. I can't wait to stay with them again.

You never know if the pictures online are representative of the actual hotel. This hotel is quiet, very clean, perfectly located and surpassed expectations. Dive lockers are available for all of your gear and you can grab full tanks any time you want. Bonaire is such a special place. The entire experience was amazing and we will absolutely be back. And we will stay at the Bellafonte again, no question.

We love the Bellafonte and are regular visitors. It is a great place to stay if you are diving on the island. The location, rooms, and views are fabulous. The relationship with VIP diving is fantastic. We had a couple of snafus this trip but the team was responsive and took care of us.

Nice modern hotel on the beach minutes from the airport. (But no trouble with planes noise). You can snorkel/dive right from their pier. We did. Clean comfortable rooms. Super helpful staff. Unlimited supply of espresso capsules for your in-the-room espresso machine. What else to desire.

Like the person that discovered gold in California, I am selfishly reluctant to share how wonderful the Bellafonte treats its guests as I don’t want it to get too overrun! The facilities are extremely well maintained, the location is convenient, and the staff are not only professional but always going out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. We have been coming to the Bellafonte for 20 years and hopefully will continue to be guests there. Oh, and by the way the diving is world class and convenient right off the house pier!!

10/10 We stayed for two weeks and had such an amazing time. The location was beautiful and the swimming in the area was perfect. The location was quiet and private though also close to many good restaurants and other beaches. The staff were awesome — so friendly and super helpful. They took care of everything and always had a smile on their faces and made sure we were taken care of . We’re already talking about when we can come back. Can’t wait to visit again, thanks to the Bellafonte team !

Great concierge who helped us book all dinner reservations and a couple massage at the hotel. Wonderful communication via email! I would recommend booking your own car through Avis as it saved us a good amount of money but be warned, the car through Avis, was a bit run down so take this into consideration. Grocery delivery was good, not amazing but it’s an island so everything is a bit more expensive.
