Thank you for a wonderful stay ❤️ The Belle Rive is a beautiful hotel located right on the Mekong River. From my bed in the morning, I could watch the swaying palm trees an frangipanis outside my window and the boats floating on the river. Every sunset over the tranquil Mekong was magical. The most important thing for me when traveling are the people, and at The Belle Rive, the staff was reliable and accommodating. Everyone we had the pleasure of speaking with spoke excellent English, which significantly enhanced our stay.
We spent three nights here. The hotel is housed in four restored buildings dating back to colonial times. The refrigerator was stocked with soft drinks, which were free of charge. Bathrobes and slippers were provided in the room. Daily housekeeping was provided. Bicycles and electric bikes were available for free use. The bed had a mosquito net. The room was quiet despite the traffic. The procession of monks is just behind the hotel; you just need to walk 100-200 meters at 6:00 AM. Interestingly, the room was furnished with a wardrobe reminiscent of a bygone century, a bronze drum that served as a table (we saw the same one in the palace in Luang Prabang), and a beautiful washbasin with a painting. Every day, the ladies brought us fruit, snacks, and chocolates. Tourists often approached to the door of our room to take photos. As part of our stay, we were able to take one hour-long cruise on the Mekong River with a drink.
I will remember my stay at The Belle Rive for a long time and recommend it to anyone traveling to Luang Prabang, as it is an unforgettable experience, experiencing the Laos of 100 years ago.
