This is an absolutely amazing hotel with wonderful staff. Every member of staff was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. We stayed in a superior double room which was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Large, very comfortable bed and all the extras you need in the room. Bathrobes, hairdryer, complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Breakfast was stunning, all cooked fresh and to perfection and served piping hot (there was also plenty of extras to help yourself to toast, cereals, pastries etc). The hotel is in a perfect location and we will definitely be rebooking to stay here again. This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. Thank you to all the the staff for making it such an enjoyable stay at your wonderful hotel👏🏻

Great stay. Quaint and felt homey. Most fluffy and big bath towels I have ever used. Very clean. Beds were comfortable. Enjoyed the coffee, tea, bottled spring water, and cookies in our room. Free parking and convenient to walk to city center. Staff were friendly. We would definitely stay there again if we return to Leicester.

We stayed in the Junior Suite, and the room was absolutely lush 😍 Super clean, gorgeous bathroom and very comfy bed, I couldn't fault it. Unfortunately they were understaffed at breakfast, and being a served breakfast we had a wait for everything. If they had a buffet for hot and cold it would have made this a top rated stay for me! Will definitely stay again if in the area.

The Belmont is a very nice stay and very central in Leicester. Convenient from the train station and also with its own (free!) parking. The parking was very busy on the evening I arrived and yet there was still enough space. I stayed for one night after my office Christmas party. Access to the hotel is simple during the night (I re-entered around 1am). Staff were very courteous. The room was comfortable and spacious. I had breakfast included and it was quite tasty the next day, and didn't close too early (open until 10:45). Furthermore, the staff went above and beyond when I forgot a book in my room after I had checked out. They kept it safe and made sure I was able to get it back when I dropped by the next day!

Excellent (first time) stay at the Belmont. I found the staff to be polite and helpful. I had a room that was fine. The breakfast was great for me as a veggie. Close to the railway station and De Montfort Hall. I am pleased that this hotel is an independent one rather than part of a "chain" and am heartened that they can survive against the big names in the hotel business. Based on my experience, I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. I

The rooms are not very sound proof, about 2 in the morning I could hear everything the person next door was doing, I felt it was so loud it was if they could been smashing around in my own room. Breakfast disappointing I had the so called full English more like a child's portion. Also the room possibly could of been haunted. I would say the location isn't half bad very accessible to the town.

We only had a one night bed and breakfast booking. However, we were greeted with a welcoming smile and efficient reception. Passing through to the bar for coffee, once again we greeted with a smile and cheerful service. We later had an early evening meal in the bar. A smallish but very interesting menu. Lovely freshly cooked and good quality and again attentive service. Needless to say staff care and attention, at breakfast, was equally high. A good range of both hot or continental choices. Our room was spacious, well equipped and together with the bathroom well presented. Great stay. We would most definitely go there again.

Yelp
When I was a student in Leicester, I used to walk past this hotel on New Walk and think how lovely it would be to stay there. Many moons later, I was back for a 30th birthday party so I thought I would book us in at the Belmont Hotel. I booked via Booking.com and it was £95. I think it would usually be cheaper but they were pretty booked up with a wedding and birthdays and so on. The hotel is on New Walk, not far from the train station, in one of the prettiest areas in town. I don't think people realise how pretty a lot of Leicester is. The reception is near the back of the building, if you go in via the car park. Staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was small but lovey. It's an old building but the rooms are modern. As others have mentioned the beds are super comfortable. Springy but firm, it was like sleeping on a sponge cake. Plus there was a firm pillow! That's all I need. Good tea selection on the hospitality tray, good toiletries, a hot shower. A comfortable night's sleep. Why 4 not 5? £95 didn't include breakfast and the walls are super thin so we could hear our neighbours. Nevertheless, I would book again and make sure I booked well in advance.

Yelp
I can't be totally sure, but they may have the most comfortable bed in all of Europe. It certainly topped my hotels in London and Paris, and my hotel on my last trip to England. We stayed in a suite and it was huge. Like, so big that I told my husband if we ever lived in Europe we'd dream of having a flat that big -- because it was just a lot of real estate, especially compared to the average European hotel room. I think it may have made him cry a little inside because our home in California is a four-bedroom with us as the only inhabitants. But I digress. The furniture was also comfortable, power sources were ample, wifi free (after sign up), and the shower was great. If I had known then that my hotel in Paris had a shower head that would contort itself toward the shower wall, making my shower extra unpleasant, well, I'd have stayed in the shower at the Belmont longer. We had breakfast in the dining room and it was quite nice. I stuck with the cold stuff, but my husband added eggs which he said were fine. (In his words, "Yeah, they were good. A little runny, but whatever." This is why he doesn't Yelp.) The location was great - very close to the train, and right on the New Walk, which was convenient to me, because I was spending my days at a conference at De Montfort. The whole place was clean and lovely. I would absolutely return.

Yelp
This is an excellent hotel with an even better, first class restaurant. I had a tiny room, but still everything was perfect! A really decent bed, a nice bathroom, wifi via cloud for free, and a great cooked breakfast! I had dinner in the restaurant one evening and the food was really good with an excellent service. The menu was varied enough for every taste and need. The hotel has a mini gym: just a rowing machine and one more cardio thing (sorry, don't remember what). The staff is friendly and helpful and everything is quite informal (just leave your luggage there and hope that they'll recognize your face). The price was moderate (£ 59 including breakfast). The location is good for visiting the university and the hotel is not far from downtown. It's close to London Road, so there are many shops and restaurants just around the corner.
