If you’re looking for a classic brunch in Barcelona, The Benedict is a must! The menu has cool, creative combinations to suit any palate, and everything we tried was fresh and delicious. The staff are genuinely kind and helpful, making the whole experience even better. We loved it so much during our 4-week stay that we went back for seconds.

This charming establishment offers a truly delightful brunch experience. The cozy atmosphere creates a welcoming and intimate setting. Every dish is crafted with care and bursting with flavor. The staff's warm hospitality enhances the overall dining experience. From the perfectly brewed coffee to the delectable brunch fare, everything is simply exquisite. This hidden gem is a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable meal. It's the perfect spot to relax and savor the simple pleasures of good food and good company. I highly recommend indulging in their culinary creations and experiencing the magic for yourself. Just be cautious that at most times is full with people and usually have to wait 5- 15 minutes.

Google
This is definitely a spot that caters to tourists — even the menu seems designed for Instagram! We chose it because it was one of the few places open for breakfast early in the day. While the setting was quite charming and photogenic, the food didn’t quite meet our expectations — the poached eggs, for instance, were served cold. Still, it could be a nice option if you’re looking for a visually appealing place to start your morning.

Google
Amazing place for brunch! We messed our order up by mistake but they sorted it so quickly with no issues. Great, very friendly service. Would definitely recommend to go here

Google
Amazing spot for brunch! Highly recommend the Ibera omelette and the French toast with the fruit. Food and atmosphere was amazing. Our waitress (Tessa) was also very kind & attentive. Highly recommend!

Google
I recently visited The Benedict Brunch Barcelona and it’s hands-down one of the best breakfast spots around! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed morning. The menu is varied, with a great mix of classic breakfast options and unique creations. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, a fantastic start to the day. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a quality breakfast experience!

Google
Perfection on a Plate! After countless attempts at finding the perfect Eggs Benedict, I finally hit the jackpot! The restaurant’s ambiance is calm, warm, and inviting. The decor harmonizes beautifully with the furniture and serving dishes, creating a visually pleasing setting. I arrived shortly after opening, with the restaurant still fairly empty, and my food was served promptly. Now, onto the dish: the eggs were perfectly runny, the hollandaise sauce was just the right amount, and the roasted potatoes were delightfully crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The smoked salmon was incredibly fresh and added the perfect touch of flavor to complete the dish. Can’t forget the delicious coffee with the lovely heart. 🥰 It truly was perfection to a T.

Google
It was amazing, the food & the service🤍 I fell in love with the place and ate there twice on my stay. Went there from Puerto Rico and hope to go again some day✨

Yelp
Delicious food. Shout out to Leo and his deep voice They accommodated us at the lazy minute on my birthday so that's good!

Yelp
We finally found this and a couple of spots that serve a traditional breakfast. The decor is very quaint and festively decorated for Christmas. The service was excellent and we were the one of their first customers as it was opening and within minutes it was packed. We ordered the regular eggs Benedict and their take on huevos rancheros, it had artisan corn tortillas, refried black beans and a meat mixture which kind of tasted like a good version of Taco Bell meat, surprisingly all the flavors really worked and it was delicious. I love eggs Benedict but usually the hollandsise sauce is too rich but this sauce was absolutely perfect and the skillet potatoes they served with both dishes were excellent. The coffe and freshly squeezed orange juice rounded out a glorious breakfast. This is a 4.5 for the food and service overall a great find. By the way we shared the food and I started eating it before the camera so their plating was impecable, I just got into it before the phone had a chance to eat!!

Yelp
We were looking for a sit down breakfast place that had more then pastries in the Barcelona Gothic area, we decided here as it was a less than 10min walk from hotel and open! (Most places were closed). Welcomed inside, friendly staff (speak English) , filled quickly as we got there when it opened at 10am. Food was absolutely delicious, and we had one healthy/picky eater, all plates were left empty. Vanilla latte, well I had to order 2 because so great. Many people had smoothies to drink or water (remember you have to purchase it) . The ambiance was good, American music in the background, prices good for the food quality. I would recommend as I look to visit this place again!

Yelp
We stumbled upon this place and thought it looked cute so we went in for lunch. It was nice to have breakfast and lunch options available (brunch is the best meal of the day after all). The service was a bit slow but they were very friendly. Beautiful decor inside and a lovely meal overall!

Yelp
Delicious brunch spot. Very fresh food and drinks! Very nice ambience and great service.

Yelp
This restaurant was the bomb. The atmosphere was so European and the food was fresh, plentiful and so tasty. Orange juice was fresh squeezed. Eggs Benedict Barcelona was my choice with no regrets!

Yelp
Located in the Gothic Quarter, The Benedict is a great spot for breakfast and American food with a local twist. There was a minimal wait on a Sunday morning for two of us. There was a brunch offering - entree, two drinks, and "dessert" for €18.90. Otherwise, the menu had plenty of options. We had the Eggs Benedict with bacon and the Full English. Portions were generous, and both meals were delicious. Latte was perfectly made, and the orange juice was freshly squeezed. They have clean bathrooms upstairs. Takes cards and cash.
google avatar

Jackie C.

Yelp
Cute decor, great music, very friendly service! Huevos Rancheros was delish!! Hubby had the Benedict- while delish, be prepared as the hollandaise sauce is not served hot. Flavor profile is on point and delish!!
google avatar

Yelp
So glad we found this place. The food was so good and a great price ( 19.5 euros for an entree, hot and cold drink, and dessert) our server Nico was great and took care of everyone and made our experience even better

S H.

Yelp
Great service and amazing food. Benedicts were cooked just right and very flavorful. Get the cafe bombon- it was delicious!!!! The bathroom is upstairs and was clean with a cute decor. For tourists, the surrounding streets are cute to walk around in and take pics.

Yelp
This place is fun, has great mimosas and American options but maybe relies on its atmosphere a little more than the food. If you're an American looking for some home grown American pancakes don't count on it... they're more like IHOP pancakes.. to be fair though they didn't leave me running for the bathroom like IHOP.. everything else was good, the bacon is like European bacon (not crispy) I love that they have different flavors for mimosas though because I'm allergic to orange juice!! My boyfriend loved his huevos rancheros!!

Yelp
Hands down my favorite breakfast spot during my trip to Spain. The restaurant itself is super cute, we got a table immediately. Try their patatas fritas! Everything was great, their cappuccinos were well made too!

Brian S.

Yelp
Outstanding breakfast. First even if the line is long. Wait. They turn the tables quick and the food is worth it. We were there on 10/31 staff was decked out for Halloween Of course eggs Benedict was great so was the omelette

Yelp
For a place called The Benedict, they have really average eggs benedict. I ordered the Eggs Benedict Riojano per the waitresses suggestion, and it tasted fine! No complaints, but nothing amazing. The potatoes were also very under seasoned and not crispy at all. My friend ordered off the brunch menu (€16.9) and her eggs benedict had an overcooked egg. You'd really expect something more from The Benedict. Three stars because the waitress was kind and accommodating to our large group, but overall very unimpressed. Nice ambiance, but would rather go to Milk Bar Bistro the next door over.
google avatar

Will D.

Yelp
Bacon could be cooked w/more consistency. Went here 3x in one week. Bacon came out different every time. However, it's my favorite place in Barcelona to get breakfast. Mimosas are delicious. They put a tablespoon of crushed ice in each one, which makes it seem even fresher than it is. Real OJ, not processed. You can tell I'm very particular about my bacon and mimosas, ha ha. Eggs Benedict and the burger are my go to dishes. Can't wait to come back.
google avatar

Chrissy S.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast, coffee, and mimosas. Waited about 10-15 min for a table for two. Would recommend it for anyone who wants a tasty and filling breakfast/brunch. Waitress and hostess were both very kind and helpful, too.

Crystal T.

Yelp
AMAZING!!! My boyfriend and I went back two days in a row. Food is absolutely delicious, the staff is extremely friendly, food comes out quick. The drinks are delicious. Decor inside is English and cozy.

Yelp
This place came highly recommended for brunch, so naturally I set on a journey to walk here for food. It is tucked on a little street, very storybook-sy like. As you walk in, you get a little London love. That seems to be the theme, everything is red & white, and Big Ben. We were promptly greeted and seated by the hostess. Who goes to a place called The Benedict and doesn't get one right? So naturally, my girlfriend ordered the Barcelona Benny & I got the Riojanos Benny. The Barcelona Benny had mozz, tomato & pesto accompanied by your usual poached eggs with hollandaise sauce, she was beaming with joy as she destroyed the food, with no complaints. However, my benny was ok. The Spanish style chorizo was quite oily, where when I took it off the egg muffin, the bottom muffin was drenched in oil. And I felt that the hollandaise sauce was very overpowering of the meal, and super lemon-y and tart. I wasn't the biggest fan, but my girlfriend loved their sauce. I've heard ravishing reviews about their french toast and pancakes, so I'm going to try and swing back for another go before I leave. Happy eatings!

Yelp
The Benedict is a charming British establishment aptly located next door to the Milk Bar which was full, which is why we wandered in. We were not disappointed, it was a delicious breakfast experience! I ordered the Mexicana omelette which had delicious chorizo meat, with just enough heat! My husband's pancakes with dulce leche and banana were very sweet but delectable! It felt very indulgent for a breakfast item, but hey, we were on vacation! We sealed the meal with a Mango, peach smoothie. Clean and crisp. Service was good. Would highly recommend it to tourists in the area!

Yelp
We ordered French toasts with fruits. In the menu, the picture looks delicious and generous amount of fruits. They have nice option of making it half portion size or full size. We ordered full. They mistakenly brought out half which consist of two toasts with fruits. When they corrected order, it went up to only three French toasts for full. The strange thing is the price is doubled if you order full so we should have ordered two halves, instead of one full. Turns out to be too sweet (heavy fruit syrups) and very few fruits (unlike the menu picture) so we decided not to order another one. The inside interior is superbly cute. I love the decoration and the comfortable seatings.

Yelp
The best option they have is the mimosa liters witch mango was out favorite. Definitely a great breakfast option if your looking for something else then paella. The food is really good as well the eggs are prepared well. The egg omelette with pork was actually surprisingly actually really good 9/10. The servers are very friendly and nice 10/10 which is very nice that they are there to help out with picking out what you want to eat and everything. Carvelle which is about 10 min always actually has better French toast. But carvelle does not offer a mimosa liter which is a great option if your with a bigger group.

Yelp
I come from the United States which is on point when it comes to breakfast. It is hard to find a good American style breakfast but this place does a pretty good job. They have a decently priced fixed price brunch which includes eggs Benedict, juice, coffee, and a pancake. The eggs were cooked well, the bacon they use is average, but the Hollandaise sauce is not fresh. It is obviously pre made and served COLD. That was a very disappointing addition and because your meal is slathered in the sauce it makes everything cold.
google avatar

K M.

Yelp
Food: We went for the 16 euro meal option where you get one entree, coffee/tea, a second drink (we choose the bellini), and a dessert. Everything was good, nothing out of this world but definitely worthy of a try if you want a good meal to fill you up. -Eggs Benedict with pesto was good and came with nice and crispy potatoes. I would maybe ask for their hash browns--if possible, next time simply because I love a crunchy hash brown. Service: One of our waiters was great, the other didn't seemed like he was eager to take his lunch break. Overall, it's a good option for food and drinks!

Yelp
You have the choice between various eggs + a drink coffee or juice or tea + dessert usually pancakes or chocolate cake mhhhh The place is very clean and comfortable. The music played will transport you in another time. This is so wonderful and the service is fast and nice. The brunch is delicious but I have to admit that the Milk Bar just beside the Benedicte offers the most original dishes and brunches.

Julia L.

Yelp
The menu has a great variety of food and drinks. Delicious food, but be prepared for slow service
google avatar

Elinni V.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here for brunch and ordered the huevos rancheros and they were delicious!! Definitely want to come back and explore different items on the menu.

Yelp
We were looking for a good place for breakfast and The Benedict was recommended. It was delicious, Omelette Conchinita was amazing. Marinated pork was juicy, potatoes were crispy.
google avatar

Clea C.

Yelp
Great brunch place! It's right next to Milk and normally has a shorter wait time. That being said, if you go on a Sunday afternoon, there could well be a 30-60min wait. The interior decor has an English theme and is quite cute! Their brunch set menu is €16.9 (I think) including a main plate, 2 drinks(1 coffee/tea and 1 alcoholic) and 1 dessert. You can always order from the menu which has more choices. Their eggs Benedict is quite good and the pancakes are so fluffy! If you're in Barcelona and craving brunch, this could do it!

Yelp
This quaint little British breakfast house is absolutely a must if your Barcelona. The coffee & food is mouth watering. The strawberry pancakes with maple syrup with having wanting more. The service is very friendly & helpful.

Yelp
Originally, my boyfriend and I had planned on going to a different place for breakfast but then stumbled upon this place and thought it looked good so we walked in. After waiting a little to order, the waiter came up and apologized for our wait and took our order. Up to this point our experience was good. Maybe 30 minutes later, however, we had not received our drinks, no one had checked on us, and we were getting antsy. A different waiter, about 10 minutes later, realized we had been waiting so went to check on our food. Then our food arrived. My order was fine, albeit a little cold, and my boyfriend received the correct main dish but the wrong side dish which the waiter had specifically commented about. We finished our meal and had to wait another 10 minutes before we could draw the attention of a waiter to get our check. I wouldn't recommend this place to someone unless they have a lot of time to spend. We spent 1:45 here, expecting to spend at max 1 hour.

Yelp
It's brunch day every day in Barcelona! We came here on Sunday for our first of many brunches, and we waited about 10 minutes for our table. The place is really laid back and has a nice ambiance for a late brunch. Since this is The Benedict, we all ordered benedicts, and they were really good! They have a brunch menu that includes an entree, a dessert, and tea/coffee + a juice or mimosa(!) Dessert and drinks menu is very solid as well. Would recommend for a low key brunch!

Tia K.

Yelp
We got the Brunch Special which was a choice of Benedict, a mimosa and coffee, and a choice of pancake for dessert for 17 Euros. Everything was incredible! Amazing benedict with the perfect amount of hollandaise. I definitely recommend this place!
google avatar

Addie L.

Yelp
Such a great find in Barcelona! Excellent service with incredible food. Prices are very fair and portions are very generous. Hope to return soon!
google avatar

Meg Y.

Yelp
Love The Benedict! Their brunch special is such a great deal. On my list for every future Barcelona visit. YUM! It's fairly small inside so don't be surprised if there is a wait. I've gotten in quickly both times I've been with a party of two. Wait staff is super friendly and service is good. The food of course is to die for!

Fatty Cakes - Luisy P.

Yelp
Order anything but the Eggs Benedict and you'll be happy. They offer generous portions, friendly service, GREAT Coffee and an inviting, relaxing dining room but my meal seemed to lack something. For an establishment to be called Benedict's, I'd expect stellar Eggs Benedicts....That was not the case here. The Hollandaise sauce on the Eggs Benedict seems prebottled and was missing that tangy lemony flavor. Its a true shame because their generous portions would have been welcomed if I loved my food. Barcelona is an Amazing place for Foodies and I wouldn't care to use one of my meals on a mediocre plate.
google avatar

Raleigh N.

Yelp
For what it was the food was tasty. Definitely left hungry, food portions are small and ingredients are very cheap for the price. Marmalade and coffee were the highlights of the meal. Ambience was friendly and neat, service was negligent- they are busy and a bit flustered. Overall okay, but not revisiting.
google avatar

Nick S.

Yelp
Although the huge lines outside for weekend brunch would suggest otherwise, I actually prefer The Benedict over the tiny-and-crowded Milk across the alley. For starters, they have good bacon. REALLY GOOD. Also, unlike Milk, you can almost always find a seat for breakfast without a wait. The staff are super friendly, and it's got a playful ambiance that makes a meal here really enjoyable. One negative? The scrambled eggs. Their fried eggs are by far the best choice.
google avatar

Rachel W.

Yelp
Really great food and brunch specials. One entree, coffee or tea, mimosa, and dessert. The service was friendly, and based on their photo display, it's a pretty fun party spot in the evenings. I don't know when I'll find myself in Barcelona again, but I'd love to check out this place in the evening.
google avatar

Jess S.

Yelp
Wide brunch menu with an option for a "set brunch" where you can grab a savoury plate (eggs Benedict etc) with a second plate of pancakes, with coffee and also mimosa / bellini etc for €16.90. The food was good, nothing bad to say about it but not mind blowing. The drinks however were fantastic - had an espresso with condensed milk which was maybe the nicest thing I've ever tasted. Really good green smoothie too - who knew you could enjoy drinking something that contained celery? The staff were really friendly and service was prompt.
google avatar

Madeline G.

Yelp
Loved the atmosphere of this place. I had an omelette and dulce de leche pancakes. The omelette was good (a little thin) and I loved the dulce de leche on the pancakes! The texture of the pancakes were off- which I've found to be pretty common in breakfast places outside the US- but the favor was really good!
google avatar

Frank N.

Yelp
nice old fashion decor. the crew is quick and friendly. prices are very affordable. obviously eggs Benedict are well executed and you have to try the tomates Verdes fritos, a real pleasure for your palate! a must go.
google avatar

Stella K.

Yelp
American Brunch in Barcelona, with a Spanish twist. A full bar, eggs Benedict, omelets or scrambled eggs, pancakes and burgers. I had the 'iberian' breakfast (scrambled eggs, pan con tomato, ham, cheese and sweet onions). Very filing, very smooth and well cooked. My friend had the vegetable omelette (comes with potatoes) and pancakes with strawberries and Greek yogurt (actually, much better than whipped cream!!). We did have to wait 15min outside until our table was ready, and service is slow (brought my friends omelette first and my eggs 10 min later). It's a good place to try.
google avatar

Super D.

Yelp
Great breakfast joint. Lots of food. The omelette was a good choice as was the American breakfast. Some of the best coffee in Barcelona. A little bit of a wait but not too bad. Workers spoke several languages for anyone not on par with their Spanish.
google avatar

John J.

Yelp
Woke up in the mood for French Toast, so I searched breakfast places nearby. Although this place served French toast and pancakes, I figured I'd go for what they were known for. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, an espresso, and (for dessert), a pancake with strawberries for €16.90. To my surprise, it came with two drinks so I also got a Mimosa. The food was absolutely amazing. The service was prompt and friendly. While I'm trying to learn Spanish, it helped that most of the staff spoke fluent English. Great find in tight alley! Would definitely come here again.

Alejandro M.

Yelp
While looking up some places to have a little breakfast, I stumbled upon Benedict and I could tell my wife would like it. The decor is pretty cool with the English theme they have going on and the food make the place even better. My wife had the Eggs Benedict Riojana and I had the American Breakfast (of course) with Chorizo on the side. My breakfast reminded me of my moms....that's a good thing! Hers looked and tasted really good as well. The Chorizo in the Benedict was solid. We cleaned our plates! Coffee is really good too btw... Food was really good! I would come back and/or recommend this place for sure.

Yelp
If you're hankering for some yummy eggs benny whilst in spain in a relaxed atmosphere, look no further - mmmmmmmmm

K G.

Yelp
We went here for brunch when Milk Bar was too busy. It looked nice enough from the outside. But, we were wholly disappointed once we sat down. We ordered two cappuccinos and our entrees. The food came our before our cappuccino!! Which just screamed "pre-made, microwaveable" food. And it tasted that way, too. I got the French toast which was supposed to come with fresh berries. The only thing fresh about it was the sliced banana on top. My fiancé got an omelette but it was so thin it looked like it only had maybe one egg in it. Beyond the terrible food, the place seemed like a classic tourist trap with Union Jack decor everywhere. We left hungry and disappointed. And went over to Milk bar anyway.
google avatar

Valery A.

Yelp
Really good place to start a day! My husband and I have ordered eggs Benedict and 2 cappuccinos. Everything was delicious! Thank you guys!

Zachary S.

Yelp
Went to check out the milk bar which is right next door and saw a line of people waiting, said screw it and stopped at the Benedict, I got the iberico Benedict which was delicious and the potatoes were flawless perfect level of crispness without being overlooked. The eggs benny was great with the hollandaise on point, it was good enough to get a five star rating but the hollandaise was the only thing that didn't blow me away, so good but not perfect! I'm an eggs benny snob and am sure anyone in el born could do way worse than start their day at the Benedict!
