The Berry Hotel

Historic country pub in a lovely historic town. Great pub meal, reasonably priced & huge servings so bring your appetite!. Definitely value for money & friendly service. Nice bistro garden area too.

Ran out of Guinness and the first 3 items we wanted off the food menu were all sold out. However what we did end up ordering was delicious and the atmosphere of the Berry Hotel is excellent. Service was friendly and helpful. The manager on the day was doing everything she could to ensure all patrons had an enjoyable experience.

We had dinner here and watched the footy. The salads were delicious - my fav was the lamb! Nachos and pasta were average. Cocktails were great - enjoyed the espresso martini. We went there on Friday night. It had a good atmosphere and karaoke was fun.

This review is about the food, not the rooms, as we didn't actually stay there. The menu is quite extensive. Mostly the usual pub food, with some additional items that looked good. But we went there for some steak. We both had the sirloin. The flavour of the food was good, it wasn't cooked to my liking. I asked for medium-rare, but got medium-well done. The other steak had quite a lot of gristle and tendon through it. Chips and salad were good.

Just a quick pop in for a feed, the dining area has large rectangle tables, definitely good for large gatherings,good layout and thoughtful take away containers on the ready, they had indoor heaters which was cosy. From the food area couldn't hear the bar, which was nice in my opinion, we could hold a conversation without being overly loud. All the staff are kind and friendly, it was a welcoming environment, one man even went above and changed my daughters cheese burger to her liking. We had the calamari, burgers and steak, they were all cooked well and we thoroughly enjoyed the meals and atmosphere. Can't comment on rooms as we didn't stay. loved our experience! so thank you, we'll be back.

Great meals here. Had pizza last time. Hot crispy crust, not too thick or thin. Delicious flavours. Highly recommend. Great value meals..especially if you join the Feros Group membership...lots of bonuses.

My review is about the dinner we ate as we didn’t stay there. We have been to the Berry hotel a number of times over the years. We keep going back because we love it! This time my husband ate the chicken parmigiana with chips and salad. He said it’s the best he’s ever had. I had a beautiful chicken, leek and bacon pie with mash, gravy and broccolini , it was delicious and really like a home cooked meal. The courtyard was warm and friendly. We will continue going back there and tell everyone we know to go there too. Hands down 5 stars!!

I’ve been to the hotel for the King’s Birthday holiday. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room spacious, clean, nice, with a balcony to a garden giving a feeling of space and privacy. During my stay, I needed to use a microwave, and the staff has installed one in the room for my surprise. The place has parking lot available and the location could not be better: it’s en front of the Donuts Van, and you can walk the entire village by walking.
