The Bhawanipur House

The Bhowanipore House has a very colonial feel . A heritage building (over 120 years old, built around 1907) that’s been restored into a stylish café, tea lounge and restaurant celebrating vintage charm with modern dining.  Vibe & style: • Set in a historic colonial bungalow with period architecture and décor.  • Inside, you’ll find a mix of relaxed indoor seating, a rooftop space, a tea-tasting lounge, bakery corner and outdoor yard areas — perfect for catching up with friends or having a calm afternoon tea.  • The décor and furniture are restored from original pieces wherever possible, giving it that old-world feel with modern comforts.  Food & drink: • Known for its Darjeeling tea and dedicated tea tasting experiences.  • Menu includes continental and fusion dishes — pizzas, pastas, Mediterranean bowls, grills and desserts.  • Both vegetarian and non-veg options are available.  Atmosphere: • Stylish but laid-back — locals and visitors go for tea dates, brunch, weekend dinners, or casual meetups.  • One of the nicer café spots in the Bhowanipore Food - Continental British type dishes were really well done but the Chinese food lacked authentic flavours Loved the fact that they had fun stuff to do like making vision boards on New Years Day A lot of Board games too .

As you enter you get to see beautifully decorated place. Looks wise 10 on 10. Food was not up to the mark. Margherita pizza was good but coffee was ok. Prawn vermicelli appetiser was not at all good. Over priced. Worst part was when my husband gave 100 rs for vallet parking, person asked for 200 rs and we had to give. Very disappointing.

Bhawanipur House is an absolute delight during the winter season. The indoor and outdoor seating both have a beautiful Christmas vibe with warm lights and a cozy ambiance that instantly makes you feel festive. The highlight for me was the hot chocolate—rich, comforting, and perfect for chilly evenings. The winter menu is thoughtfully curated, the food is well-presented, and the overall experience feels premium yet relaxed. It’s an ideal spot for dates, small celebrations, or simply unwinding with friends in a cozy setting. Definitely a must-visit this winter in Bhawanipur. Highly recommended!

This cafe is a must visit. The menu has a great selection of healthy options, and I really enjoyed the grilled fish. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary restrictions, which I really appreciate. The value for money is excellent given the quality. Five stars 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

This has to the best places I've ever been to. Been there during puja, and loved it! The food is just too goood, omg. How damnnn delicious. The best chicken skewers I've ever had. Prawn skewers were also amazing. The aesthetics are so soothing and refreshing. Extremely aesthetic and would love to go back! Every corner of this cafe is absolutely breathtaking and photogenic.

What a lovely experience. The food , the service , the ambience. Just Amazing ! We went on Nobomi 2025 near to midnight . It was still rush hours cuz of festive season . Still their service was top notch . The ambience . How Amazing it was I can't describe in words . Pujo decorations , light music show , fine dining space everything so perfect . And their food . I simply loved it . We had Chicken Stroganoff , Crispy Pan fried Bhetki with fries & Hot Chocolate. Both the dishes were Amazing. The bhetki fish was just so soft and juicy , it almost melted in my mouth. Its outer coating , texture, crispness was perfect 👌 I would love to go there again and I am surely recommending this place .

The service was not up to the mark, looking at the place. It looks quite sophisticated and very classy. However, the Service staff did mistake while placing our orders as well as while making the bill,the food was good. However, there was a long delay and even the order which is placed, it got misplaced and it never came to us. However, the place has a good ambience and the decor is really classy.
