Cool neighborhood spot with great food. Would come back for the BBQ fries and garlic aioli alone. Fried mozzarella app we couldn’t get enough of. Cocktail menu was spot on as well. Friendly and attentive service, will be back!

Incredible food. Service is top notch. Place is beautiful. We sat at the bar and the bartender was amazing. Get the dirty Neff if you love martinis! I had the Cajun wings. Such a clean flavor. Wife had the Italian Grinder and it took her breath away. The olive paste on that sandwich is divine. It’s perfectly balanced. Now on to my burger. I think, without question, the Big L. Smash Burger is the best overall burger in NWA. The simple balance of this burger is unmatched. This is a hidden gem!

The food and service were very good, the atmosphere was okay, but the beer selection and the cocktails were great! We shared the fried mozzarella appetizer, which was the special that evening. It was a good-sized portion, and the marinara complimented it nicely. It had just the right amount of breading to give a perfect crispy exterior to counter the soft, puffy mozzarella on the inside. We sampled two different cocktails, and they were both delicious. We also had Social Project Brewing Company's Hazy IPA, and it was fantastic. I was impressed with the service because there was always someone to cover for our server when she was busy. We never went without drinks, and when we ordered them, they were delivered promptly. I thoroughly enjoyed the smash burger. Two patties, cheese, homemade pickles (I believe), and a wonderfully soft bun. I loved the portion of the fries as I tend to eat a lot, however; the seasoning on them reminded me of a bbq seasoning, and it's not what I had envisioned. They were still good, but they just caught me off guard a bit. My wife had the mezze. She enjoyed the medley of flavors and was surprised at how much she enjoyed the rice. I was surprised by the delicious flavors when I tried a bite, too. Here's the catch: everything was really good, but the prices were simply too high for quality of food and the atmosphere. When I pay $18 for a hamburger, I expect to be dreaming about having it again. Unfortunately, I did not feel the experience justified the prices. Just my opinion, though I would still recommend you give it a try as there's good food, drinks, and service to be had.

Meh. It's a poor attempt of a restaurant trying to be something it's not. The atmosphere and decor are very upscale. The menu is very food truck. We ordered the blue cheese fondue chips as an appetizer. They brought us a bowl of kettle chips covered in what looks like blue cheese dressing with blue cheese crumbles on top and some onion greens. It made us laugh as we ate it. The steakhouse salad turns out does not have any steak on it. I ended up getting the cheeseburger and fries. We are the only people in the restaurant and my food was brought to me cold. When they asked me if I wanted anything I asked if they had steak sauce for my burger. They said no. They brought me their aoli which was basically mayonnaise blended with garlic. This would be a great place for drinks but I would stay away from the menu.

Super fun vibe! When you walk in the first thing I thought of was the perfect happy hour & cocktail kind of place with great modern decor. I give kudos to the original menu choice items and fresh ingredients. I just wish the men had a bit more to offer for dinner. The servers were super nice and fun…again making me think great for cocktails. For a full dinner experience, wouldn’t be my first choice but for a night out with friends and some food, great spot

Literally can’t get enough of this place! We watch football here almost every weekend. The staff is great & the food is INCREDIBLE! Not sure how to choose a fave; the Cheeseburger is the best in town, the Meatball Sub is the best ever, the Dirty Neff is exactly how a martini should be made and the Fries are perfect every time! Don’t skip the Fried Mozzarella (if you’re lucky enough to be there when it’s a special) or the Skillet Cookie!

The ambiance of this restaurant is very relaxing to me. I appreciate how clean this restaurant is, plus all of my favorite songs were playing. Good people and the food is delicious! Fresh and flavorful.

Really liked it, cocktails were great (could actually taste alcohol and not just sugar) and the food was really good. Looks more like a nicer restaurant, but has more of a sports bar feel with mostly sandwiches on the menu, or at least that's how it felt. For most of our time there the music was good but then it got turned off and sports got blasted (there was one couple at the bar with the TVs) and it made me want to leave ASAP after that. Cocktail and beer selection is pretty good (with a few different beers than a lot of other places in town usually have) but they only have cans of wine (instead of glasses) or full bottles. The prices are full on Bentonville style. I'd be more likely to go back more often if, for example, the grinder was $15/16 and not $19, just isn't a $19 plate of food. Feeling like you haven't gotten your money's worth is par for the course around here, but when the food is actually good it sort of stings more to feel like you still paid too much. That being said, the food is way better than most of what you'd find downtown...at the same price or more...so driving a few minutes isn't bad comparatively.

Great food, really nice inside and my niece loved it. The service was great and I liked the television over the bar.

My wife and I stopped by here for a late dinner having zero idea what they offered. This impromptu meal was delicious. From the food, to the drinks, to the service, everything was top notch. Super chill environment, great for a date.

Monday evening dinner! Ordered the Big Lieutenant burger and shared it with the hubby. This is served with bbq seasoned shoestring fries that fried to perfection! Perfect amount of food . So , we had room for dessert and ordered the pecan bread pudding that is served with bourbon caramel sauce served HOT with vanilla ice cream. We will be back!!!

My husband and I went for the first time on 9/11/24 & our waitress was so sweet & helpful! We got the the neffs fries to start - amazing, we devoured them. I got the Italian grinder with chips & at our waitress's suggestion I put said chips on the sandwich which was delicious! Hubby got a plain burger & fries (he's very picky) & absolutely loved it. We will 100% be back!

I love Big Lieu! I want to try something different every time I visit, but the burger makes it so difficult . *They use fresh ground beef and the burger is so juicy and delicious. My husband and I compromised - he had the French dip and I had the burger and we split it! The best of both worlds. Also had a an opportunity to chat with Chef Trey tell him how much we love his new place. Gracie and Taylor were delightful with service. You can enjoy the dining room, sit next to the floor to ceiling wall of windows or have a seat at the very cool Razorback sports bar. Great food! Nice casual ambiance.

First time here, but definitely won't be the last! The food was phenomenal! A brisket sandwich that's not barbecue is a nice departure from the norm, and the seasoning was perfect--some heat, but not too spicy, just lots of flavor! The neff fries had seasoning on every single fry, which was a pleasant surprise. I loved the olive spread on the grinder as well. Service was awesome, and I love to see a restaurant with such a meaningful name and backstory! Can't wait to come back!

I'm aways on the lookout for a good meatball sub. And the one at Big Lieu's did not disappoint. I tried that and the Italian grinder (which is another hankerin I often get). Both were supremely tasty! Nice vibe, they had the games goin, and good beer. It's a little off the beaten path, so may need to go lookin for it, but well well worth seeking it out. Next time, I get that craving for a tasty sandwich, i know where I'll be headed. There's nothing comparable in town.

Our server was kind and attentive. We really enjoyed everything we had. I thought the spin on French dip was really fun and very delicious. I got it with the fries, which had a bbq seasoning so I really enjoyed how unique everything was. The bread pudding was delicious, with a perfect bit of crunch. We immediately regretted not getting it with the ice cream on it so lesson learned there. Excited to go back and try out some more things on the menu!

The menu was limited but the food was quite good. The bartender (Richie I believe) was spectacular and worth going back for his friendly and knowledgeable service alone! Accommodating of the game I wished to see while seated at the bar. I would recommend this upscale neighborhood bar and restaurant.

Food and staff are fantastic here. I don't think I've had a meal from here that hasn't been great. The burger and the Korean bowl are my go toos and I believe they periodically carry a special on the weekend which was also delicious.

My friends and I tried this restaurant after seeing a few videos from local food bloggers on Instagram. While I had high hopes, I ultimately left feeling the food and service was underwhelming. We were fans of the modern, airy ambiance, but ultimately felt the food was very average for the price - after tip, my lunch tab (for one) came out to $74. The $14 meatball appetizer came with three freezer-section-sized meatballs. I had the Mediterranean bowl with chicken for my entree. The rice, hummus, chicken and yogurt sauce were yummy, but the falafel were very dry and overcooked. I washed my meal down with a dirty neff, which was both unique and delicious. The service was a bit lackluster. We waited over 5 minutes for our soft drinks and more than 15 minutes for cocktails - there were only two other tables in the restaurant at the time. Then, towards the end of our meal, I felt like our server was pushing us to leave, likely ready to close out her tables and finish her shift. Not the end of the world, but also doesn't make for the most welcoming experience.

2 people drive into the parking lot of this restaurant. We weren't really sure if the restaurant was open. We walked in, they were open. Someone greeted us, asking us to follow him. He was walking to the back of the room. We mentioned that the table in the front, by the windows was preferred. The person throws the menus on the table and walks away. We didn't stay because of the attitude. I really want to like the hidden spot, because it is close. Get your act together and you will have more business.

Extremely balanced and flavor-packed dishes made with high quality ingredients. You could order anything and I doubt you would be disappointed! Welcoming, kind, and attentive hospitality from the front of house. Inspiring drink menu! This place doesn't miss a beat.

Great service, food, and drinks! The best burger in NWA! A couple additional favs... The La Hacienda cocktail, Cleeta Meatballs, Fried Mozzarella, and the Steakhouse salad. All so delicious!

Big Lieutenant is a great out of the way food establishment with excellent service. They are noteworthy for their burger which is absolutely a winner but I will say that anything on the menu is a cut above traditional bar fare. The ambience is minimalist but very clean and well laid out. Interestingly photos on the site of certain foods were not on the menu which can be a bit misleading. I must assume some of the items were seasonal or test items and I was a little disappointed to not get the chance to try them. Still, I highly recommend this establishment and hope you enjoy it.

This is no bar cleta... it's is missing a lot and somehow the mediocre food is still very pricey. It really is just worth the one time experience to then you can see it's complete mediocrity

Great new spot in Bentonville! Service was top notch, super friendly staff, and the food is incredible. Large bar area with plenty of TVs to catch the big game. Cocktails are well thought and super delicious. If your are a Martini fan, you've gotta try the Dirty Neff! Favorite dishes so far are the Brisket Sandwhich, and the Burger. Both are soooo good. Don't skip out on the fries either, seasoned to perfection and served with a creamy garlic aioli. Can't wait to go back!

We were in town and needed good food for our dietary needs. It was better than expected!

The food was good. Would come back and try other items on the menu. It was not busy when we had dinner. 4 tables max. Service is the reason for the 2 stars. Or lack there of service. One waiter greeted us with water. The host took our drink order. 5 minutes later. Then our server came and asked" what do you want?" No greeting or anything. We placed our order with her. Food came out delivered by the person who brought us waters. By the way we have not received our drink order yet! I asked. The host brought us our drink order. No check in by the server. She only brought us the check. Never checked on our food or refilled our water. I am leaving her name out of this review. May go back and try it again in the new year. But this place looks like a ghost town when I go into Social Project next door.

A limited menu but the food was really good. It was really slow when we were there on a Sunday afternoon so the service was good, but we were the only ones our server had to deal with. For us, it was a bit more expensive than other options with the same type of food. My husband and I would go back but probably not the whole family.

This place is great! I love that it's very good, freshly prepared food with a relatively basic menu. Our kids love it too. Great job chef!

It's very overpriced, the drinks are good but you'll notice they randomly add a "mixed drink" tax to your bill, I find it odd. I cannot rate the food because I haven't tried it but something about $20 burgers just irks me. I'm sure it's good though. 3 stars because I could take it or leave it, never a bad experience the past two times I've gone but also doesn't draw me to think about it. I may not be the audience for it though.

Another delicious dinner at The Big Lieutenant: we had the French Dip and The Big Lew. The French dip twist is that it is made with braised pork and served with a pozole dip....The Big Lieutenant Burger is a double patty with caramelized onions and bread and butter pickles. We chose the Neff Fries as our side, highly addictive seasoned fries with a hint of sweet, the perfect offset to the savory Sammies. We love this place and the staff, always super friendly!!

I would not know how to review the food here but the disrespect of the establishment is 10/10. Every app and especially their own website advertised them to be open on Mondays. We drove in from out of town, went out of our way during rush hour traffic, just to find a note posted on their window that they are closed on Mondays due to staffing. While I have sympathy for their staffing issues, I do NOT have sympathy for the disrespect this shows to their customers. Please post closing hours accordingly on your website, google, yelp, etc. I sincerely hope your food far exceeds your professionalism.

As we walked in, the host walked away and stood at the bar, appearing to be on the phone. He continued to look at us periodically as we waited roughly 5 minutes at the door. We finally made the decision to walk out, and as we walked out he started walking back to the host table. I don't think they wanted us in the Resteraunt.

Cool vibe. Delicious food! Awesome cocktails! Our bartender was great and took good care of us!

Great wings, great service perfect for the family weekend outing. Friends came for watch the football. Kids had a great time and stayed entertained.

Great food and great atmosphere! Highly recommend for business dinner or date night. Will definitely be going back
