Whole Foods Layoffs Reportedly Hit Marketing Team

"A national grocery chain has been experiencing major internal turmoil: vendors have begun revolting, longtime executives are departing, and employees say new e-commerce leadership has not communicated future plans. Leadership conducted regional conference calls and announced companywide cuts to marketing and in-house graphic-design roles—reportedly at least one affected position per store—citing redundancy and a need to better align staffing. Axed positions include stores’ graphic artists and regional-marketing jobs below associate coordinator; affected employees are being offered two weeks’ severance for every year of service, though graphic artists have been asked to remain until July 2 while signage transitions are managed.
