Couldn’t say more about our stay. Warmly greeted by cheerful and helpful staff. Primary contact at front desk (reception area pictured) during our stay was Charlie - informative and positive. We stayed in Rm 28 which looked over Bath’s recreation field (bowling lawn and croquet field) with Abbey in the distance. Only downside was lack of storage - challenge for us as we had a 5 night stay (seems most folks have shorter stays). The Plate has a good breakfast and dinners were varied and good (had our first Sunday roast beef dinner and it was memorable). Location provides 10-15 minute walkable access to a number of activities (rowing on the Avon, viewed our first cricket match, the Holbourne Museum, and all that Bath proper has to offer). I asked a former co-worker (Brit ex-pat) best place for holiday in Britain and he replied quickly, Bath. The Bird Bath made it that much better. Highly recommend.

Great Hotel, staff were all amazing. The bedrooms are not the biggest but had everything we needed and it was all quality. We had some older guests with us, we would like to give a special shout out to Charlie who went above and beyond to assist us. We all loved the coffee in recep5and the sweet treats and soft drinks bar. The distance from town is great, easier enough to walk (approx 10mins) the location means it's quiet and restful. The addition on The Plate rest5and the great outdoor space makes for a great place to relax with a drink after a busy day sight seeing. Lastly breakfast is a must the quality is exceptional.

Great hotel with excellent service and amenities. The rooms are a good size and very well equipped. The efficient air conditioning was much appreciated during the unusually warm weather. The breakfast was excellent and the food super fresh and tasty. The staff were great at check-in and check-out and exceptional at breakfast. It is well located with only a ten minute walk into town or the train station. Recommended.

Despite some nice touches, it flatters to deceive mainly due to the disorganised service and lack of care and attention to detail.||On countless occasion, pre-arranged agreements weren't upheld, which resulted in a continual shifting of plans. Whether that were tables not being pre-organised for the right number in the party to added extras not being in the room or simple discussions being forgotten or ignored.||On arrival we had to change our room as the one provided didn't meet the needs or standards expected. Champagne and flowers were supposed to be there on arrival but were not. A birthday breakfast was supposed to have accompanying birthday balloons but didn't. Starters for dinner were cold. Certain dishes on the menu were served without the correct ingredients. The dishes were over priced and lacked basic sides for the price and the service was under staffed and chaotic.||On check out, the bill was put on someone else's room, which, if unchecked would have rendered another guest and enormous bill to pay. Residents are charged for parking where as guest can park for free - if any one can explain the logic on this i'm all ears...||All in, it's just not very well managed. It appeared and felt understaffed. Is over priced and lacks the care and attention you'd expect when booking Mr and Mrs Smith level accommodation.||All of these points were put to the management team in a closed email but no reply was received, despite chasing for a follow-up discussion. If you expect good service for this price point, this isn't for you. Bath lacks good hotels epitomised by The Bird.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Bird. A lovely, quirky hotel with lots of character and a welcoming atmosphere. The Abbey King room was clean with beautiful views. Lots of extra little touches too like a complimentary larder, treats for the way home etc. Reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We would definitely visit again!

A beautiful boutique hotel absolutely loved the quirky interior and the outdoor patio adjacent to the restaurant. |In walking distance of Bath and has a car park which is a rarity, there is a charge for parking but it's worth it.|Lovely little touches the help yourself coffee machine in reception and the larder filled with jars of sweets and soft drinks which is also included in your stay.|A huge bonus for us the Bird is wonderfully dog friendly, providing dog basket, bowls and a treat box. The dogs are also allowed in the restaurant. |The restaurant again is beautifully furnished and the food is excellent, in fact the best continental breakfast I have had for a very long time.

The location is great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are small but the decor in both the rooms and hotel is nice. The extractor fan didnt work in either room (we booked 2) Paying a car parking fee is ridiculous - it should be included in the price. We initially searched for "pet friendly" hotels which this is - it says on booking.com "charges MAY apply." There was no "may" about it. They just threw an extra £35 on for no real reason. A pleasant stay but for the charges on parking and £35 for a tiny dog to stay in our room, we wont be returning.

We stayed at the bird in bath gor 3 nights. I have stayed at many hotels but this was the tops breakfast fantastic. I spoke to Olivia and Doug who were very kind and friendly to my husband and myself staff always smiling lovely comfy beds and pillows and I noticed one good thing no throws and loads of cushions on beds. We were given treats and bottled water as we left Fantastic hotel 10 out of 10 Audrey and david ashford
