I know this place since 9 years! It’s not somewhere id go every weekend but it’s good for every once in a while meet up with friends over some good beer and burgers! Staff probably had a rough day there so I don’t want to be over judging the service but will either push down or bump up this rating next time depending on the service

Google
Never had as tasteless burger as this one. Though, the Fries were good. The stars go for the service and atmosphere not the food.

Google
Burger Simply Amazing, cooked just at right time. I suggest to update to brioche bread. Maybe the place is little noisy but it's part of the experience

I was there on a Sunday night. I ordered burgers and I was very disappointed. The beef patty was ok (although nothing special), the onions were raw and the fries felt like they were leftovers from hours ago. Looked horrible, no form or anything like that, tasted like they were cooked 2 hours ago and left on heat. Also they were served with a lot of tiny crumbs. A bottle of 700ml of water costs 7 euros. A bit excessive. Chairs are uncomfortable too. Overall I think this place is overpriced and not worth it.

Google
The best burger place in Berlin! Super delicious, real medium-rare (you can order different degrees of doneness) prepared meat with tasty fries. Friendly and funny staff who also speaks English. Pets are very welcome. I always have a great time there. What's not to like? Visited multiple times and will keep visiting.

Google
The Bird Berlin lived up to the hype on the burger front. We devoured the Da Woiks and the Big Rock, and let me tell you, the flavors were on point. Juicy patties, and that English muffins bun - they simply nailed the burgers. However, our burgers arrived a little less cooked than we requested. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely worth mentioning. Maybe next time we'll double-check with the staff to avoid any surprises. Speaking of staff, things seemed a bit understaffed on our visit. The waitresses were hustling all night, and while they did their best, it meant slightly longer waits and less attentive service. Just something to keep in mind if you're expecting a super chill dining experience. The one thing that remained consistently excellent was the cheesecake! Just like their Hamburg branch, it was divine. Rich, creamy, and with the perfect amount of sweetness. The only minor quibble? The cheese layer felt a tad thinner compared to our previous experiences. Don't get me wrong, it was still delicious, but maybe a touch more cheesiness wouldn't hurt.

On a slow Monday evening, my friends and I had to wait almost an hour for our food. There were 2 other tables in the restaurant. Really disappointed by the waiting time.. The burgers come with an English muffin instead of a burger bun, which is quite odd and I think they should specify it on the menu. Fries were good. Wouldn’t recommend going there if you are looking for a good burger experience.

Google
Review based on blue cheese burger Burger Good ; - wide options of American style burger - choose degree grilled ( rare, medium rare, medium, ..) Bad: - The restaurant recommendation is to order medium rare but since in some burgers types the patty is very thick which means most of the core portions will be rare meat

Yelp
The Birds the Word. I first came to The Bird in 2011 on a tour of Berlin with some local Berliners. My friends had been raving about this burger joint that's better than most in the States. I remember it being pretty good and the burger was as big as the eyes can see. Well 11 years I'm back again to see how the place is faring. To be honest, the size and quality of the burger has gone down a little from what I remember. It it's still good and filled me up. I had the Filthy Harry, a cheddar and bacon burger with a side of fries, and a local IPA to wash it down. Thanks.

Yelp
I was here 8 years ago - the only thing that has changed is their fries but we still LOVE IT, maybe even more so!Hands down the most delicious and glorious burger in all the Vaterland. Last time, I brought two young Anerican kids that are traveling the World. This time, I brought two Polish friends that had never been to Berlin! Of course, our first stop was here at The Bird. We made a reservation (highly recommended) for opening time. Due to traffic we were late by 1/2 hour but we called at opening to advice and they thanked us and saved our table. Still, after 8 years of staff changes, the service and cooking remains above par. We are Birds for life! Thank you everyone at The Bird Berlin for your amazing and steady deliciousness! After 8 years, not many restaurants can say that, especially through surviving the PAN! Congratulations and see you again soon!

Yelp
Not impressed at all. I'm from the USA and I do know what good beef is. The Birds steak is very low average. I get better meat at my local grocery store back home. The price The Bird is charging for this is outrageous and absolutely over priced. 80€ for a small NY Strip? If I want to pay that much I'll go to a US steakhouse called Maestros where the steak is literally the best thing you've ever tasted and it's cheaper then The Bird. Not only that but it took an hour and a half to cook. After 35 minutes they told me, sorry we are out of Filet and we would have to have a more expensive steak instead. 2 steaks, and 10 chicken strips with two drinks was 155€!! If you know what good steak is DO NOT go here and waste your money.

Samantha G.

Yelp
Great friendly atmosphere. Burgers and steaks are delicious here! I also appreciate their dark & stormy cocktail. It's better to reserve a table as it gets pretty busy most nights.

Kurt K.

Yelp
WTF ??? Who sells tosties as burger buns ??? That was by far the worst experience in the burger segment of my entire life. I would like to give -3 stars for this culinary atrocity. The unfriendly service comes on top. Never again my friends. WTF??? Wer verkauft Tosties als Burgerbuns??? Das war mit abstand meine schlechteste Erfahrung im Burgersegment meines ganzen Lebens. Für diese kulinarische Greueltat würde ich am liebsten -3 Sterne geben. Der unfreundliche Service kommt noch "on top" Never ever again meine Freunde.

Yelp
Really cool spot. I'm a little obsessed with Burgers at the moment (former favorite was the bretzel bun thing at Burgermeister before they went all corporate, but now my favorite is the Lay Low in Portland Oregon. The bar here is really cool and out of place in a fun way, like something you'd find in Helena Montana, not Berlin. Everyone kept asking me, "but have you tried the burger at the Bird?". I'd heard this at least 5 times. So I had to try it. It was sort of like a beef softball with onion's baked in served on an english muffin. I guess if you're on like a low carb, high protien diet then this burger might be for you. For me it was too much. Cool place, great servers...not understanding the buzz about the burger. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing...a good friend of mine SWEARS this is the best burger in the world so maybe I ordered the softball on muffin and not the burger.

Jenna B.

Yelp
Was recommended to us as the best burger place in Berlin back in 2013. But when I recently visited, it was basically all pretty much the same while many other great places have sprung up in the city in the meantime. I hope they step up their game again very soon.

Dennis H.

Yelp
Delicious burger, not sure about the English muffin bun but given how thick the beef patty is, it's probably a good thing so you can actually bite into it. Sat at the bar, staff was friendly enough but not super attentive. Yelp says that they are cash only but they do accept credit cards.

Joseph K.

Yelp
rude staff; bad service. made a reservation for 22:30, arrived at 22:35, they said the kitchen is closed, turned me away and didn't even apologize (instead they started lecturing me). own up, take responsibility and improve your process (if you close the kitchen at 22:30, then don't take reservations for 22:30, it's that simple)

Mike G.

Yelp
My favorite burger joint in all of Europe. I cannot stress this point enough. I have moved back to the United States, and I long for this burger. Who knew I'd find such an amazing burger in Berlin, of all places??? It's Berlin. Anything is possible. Please make sure to get a reservation. They will definitely fill up. The meat is flown in from the US, and it is fantastic. You'll be back again and again. It's served on an English muffin. Sounds weird. Tastes amazing.

Laura P.

Yelp
This review isn't fair because I am American, but as one used to glutton, this wasn't anything new. HOWEVER, if you're homesick for the states or if you've never had a full-on USA-chanting plate heaped with artory-blocking goodness, this is the place for you. I loved that the bun was actually a toasted English muffin, and now I know where to go if I'm absolutely starving and about to eat the table. Service was lovely, and the outside seating was on fire. I guess I'm just used to this kind of portion stateside, although in Germany this kind of amazing Thanksgiving-like shovel of meat, cheese and fries is a rare find.

Fahad A.

Yelp
I've been there twice since I moved to Berlin and I think this is the best burger place here in BERLIN. You should try the big crack and da birdhouse. The prices are good for the burgers 12.5€ and it comes with fries. I REALLY RECOMMEND THIS BURGER PLACE

Liron H.

Yelp
Only been to this location. I love it! Usually 7 different servers will serve you throughout your meal, which I am not a fan of. But the food is SO good. We chose the birdhouse which is full of good stuff. I added an egg which made it brunchy-ish. YUM. They got our orders wrong once and overcooked the burgers as well, but that was one time out of 5 other succesfull visits. Wings are awesome! Wish they had milkshakes like a proper American burger place. I love the fries, and the meat is very good. Not a fan of the 'bun'. But you MUST leave room for cheesecake. And I don't even like cheesecakes but OMG. GOOGLE TRANSLATE DE- Nur einmal an diesem Ort.

Yelp
We had had curry dogs and goulash, so when my daughter-in-law said we had to have a hamburger I figured it would be a typical German restaurant that she had in mind--but no--not at all...but it was one of the best burgers I have ever had. We walked from our hotel and it was a lot further than we thought but when we got there we were so happy! We came in and the hostess asked us if we had reservations... Reservations at a burger joint? Who does that? Well they do and that is the best tip that I can give you. Call or email. (They take email reservations from out of the country, WOW!) She told us they were booked through 11pm. I thought that meant for the night, but I guess they close at midnight... My daughter-in-law said she HAD to eat here, so she went to talk to the hostess. She finally said if we came back in a half hour or so, she would seat us. We went to the Mexican restaurant on the corner and had a drink (G & Ts came with Pineapple instead of lime--lime seemed to be in short supply throughout Czech Republic and Germany. The margarita looked more like a martini but was rather good...) They sat us soon after we came back. Our waiter was from England and she had a great sense of humor and the food was to die for. Everyone chose a different burger and my husband had chili and cheese on his fries as well. We ordered a pitcher of dark wheat beer and a bottle of Brooklyn IPA for me. They had a fun, interesting beer list and an amazing burger list. It was a truly fun night and I am glad my daughter-in-law was persistent. (We took a taxi back to the hotel then probably walked as far backwards looking for a bar called G & T that ended up being closed for a private party. We worked off the burgers anyhow, lol.) If you come to Berlin, this place should be on your list, but definitely call or email for a reservation well in advance.

Yelp
Funny how they serve napalm sauce/wings right next to a Vietnamese restaurant. (smh) Burgers are awesome, especially after being in the land of "gemischte Hackfleisch" (ground pork/beef mixed) burgers & prefab crap. Hallelujah! Beers good. Cocktails good. The steak is gargantuan & wonderful. We really enjoyed ourselves... every visit. ...but napalm anything in an American joint right next to a Vietnamese joint??? How ironic.

Benjamin R.

Yelp
Totally overrated Burger place. Too expensive, burned buns and meat, .. They used to be good. But that was some years ago.

Jonas A.

Yelp
The food is very good, but the service is very poor. Like really poor, it really makes the experience worse. But the dude with the cap was nice. So he earned two of the stars.

Hayek S.

Yelp
This burger place rocks. The music - yes... but the burgers! Wow. I had the Flaming Roger (Swiss cheeseburger), and it was tasty and delicious. Fries with that? You betcha. And I mean killer fries. Great. Combine the great food with old and new rock American music, wood tables in a brick restaurant in a spicy neighborhood, and your night is set for adventure. Enjoy!

Yelp
I had such HIGH expectations for this place but I was just simply not blown away by this place especially with all the reviews and the line. I had the gonazales burger which came with a HUGE burger patty, guacamole, salsa verde (but it really wasn't even there), on top of an english muffin, which was different. The meat was good quality and I ordered it medium rare but it wasn't cooked to that standard and the meat was, to be honest, just flat out plain and unflavored. Not to mentioned the guacamole was also tasteless so altogether, the burger was just a pretty tasteless combination of good quality meat. In addition, there was no real juiciness from the patty that was expected. Honestly, didn't think it was worth the hype :/

Nour R.

Yelp
I was not impressed with the food at all it tasted bad and no flavor it's kinda rude that they have sign saying we donot have diet soda or make well done meat and no gluten free bread!, some people eat they way they want and also have health issue so why would u say that I like my meat medium rare so it's preference I will never go there again not worth it and it's expensive also for no reason

Yelp
Very very busy and popular place, so DEFINITELY make a reservation... and even then you'll be stood around waiting for a bit! I ordered a burger which was very tasty, but a bit too thick in my opinion. The fries were okay but I couldn't eat a lot of them. Partner ordered a NY Strip in "500g" as recommended, but a server told us they had a 650g one in the kitchen which wouldn't need cutting if we wanted it, but for the 600g price... turned out this was a 22oz steak, and again, very very thick. It was tasty, and cooked as desired, but a bit too thick to eat it properly in an enjoyable way. The staff were very friendly but a little inattentive unless you went out of your way to get their attention, as they were very busy, (ie, after waiting to get someone's eye so we could get a menu after finally being seated, we gave up and went and found one ourselves after about 10 minutes). The venue itself is small but cosy and has a very good atmosphere. The menus are presented in a detailed and fun way, including the lines "at least try eating the burger with your damn hands!" and "and for God's sake, don't order your meat well done!", all a bit tongue in cheek, but fun. It's quite a walk from the nearest U-Bahn or S-Bahn though, so take a map! Only thing is, it was pretty expensive! The steak (although a big bugger) was 48 Euro! Ouch! It was a nice place to visit once, but we probably wouldn't go out of our way to go again (not that we'd be adverse to a return).

Yelp
Huh. The Bird - best burgers in Berlin. The Bird - must go eat and experience. The Bird - killer fries. The Bird - has attitude, but the arm that wields it is weak. When the waitress came over, I asked for their signature burger. I got two choices and ordered the Birdhouse. Based on their Fat = Flava board memo, it sounded appropriate. I also asked for a bitter or medicinal tasting beer. She was confused and we came up with a heavy wheat beer instead. First, the beer. Anything that tastes like bananas and has light floral notes, does not engender heavy qualities in my mind. Lousy suggestion, left three quarters of it in my 3CL container. Second, let's talk burgers. If you are supposed to be the best burger joint in Berlin, the burger patty should be able to speak for itself. That's might hard to do when supported by poor ingredients. The burger was swathed in ooey yellow cheese. I looked for the bacon and found two limp slices that pulled apart like hair. Then the meat itself wasn't very good. It was already a struggle to find it through the cheese. Overall, the Bird did not live up to expectations. The fries were poor too.

Nick S.

Yelp
No need to mince words - this is one hell of a burger joint. I was torn internally about my first burger being from the griddle or the grill, but in the end I chose the signature "Da Birdhouse", which of course was a brilliant decision. The meat was absolutely perfect. A cool medium rare with tons of juice and flavor in a course grind. The best of the best. Not to be outdone by the burgers, the accompanying spuds were also pretty fantastic. The burgers are so fantastically large you don't really need them, but they're still nice to have. Crispy and irregularly cut, they have a unique taste (perhaps a beer batter?) that kept me nibbling way after I'd professed that I was "stuffed". Like most other reviewers have mentioned, a reservation is essential if you want a table. Further, don't count on a day-of reservation, unless you plan on eatting after 10pm. If, like me, you do try (and fail) to book a table, you can sit outside or at the bar, but it goes quickly. I got there less than five minutes after they opened and the outdoor seats were already packed. Luckily, I managed to snag the last two neighboring seats at the bar. Sure, you can walk in anytime and hopefully grab an open seat, but if you want to eat early you better get there right when they open. Finally, while The Bird doesn't cost more than other burger joints in Europe, for Berlin it's pretty expensive. I've found you can get primary eats in Berlin for € 5 or less, whereas here the base burger starts at € 9.50. But who cares? It's fucking delicious and worth every penny. Basically, come here and eat burgers.

Jen H.

Yelp
Solid 4 stars. Very popular place! We sure missed delicious american, fatty burgers, so we dropped by. Generous portion! Comes with delicious seasoned fries. Ordered: 1) Birdhouse burger: 4/5 OMG....this was prob the largest burger I have ever seen. It had 3 patties! 2) Dumb texan burger: 4/5 Delish. I ordered this one b/c it has an egg in it :D Be warned: Consuming your burgers will create a huge mess! It's actually very difficult to bite your burger w/o it falling apart! What made this place unique? The burgers are served on english muffins. Delish!

Meghan F.

Yelp
I've heard a lot of praise for The Bird since I moved to Berlin but when I finally went there myself tonight I was underwhelmed. The atmosphere is good and it is perfect for large groups. The music was great! You definitely leave smelling like grease but that's okay by me. Service was attentive and friendly. I had the hot wings as a starter and they were quite tasty. Probably the best wings I have had in Berlin thus far. They were coated in sauce but weren't soggy. I really liked the sauce; it tasted kind of like bbq sauce and had a nice level of heat, although I think the hot could be a little hotter. My husband had the napalm wings and he was sweating - and loving it. As far as the burgers go, I just wasn't impressed. The menu offerings weren't creative at all; just your standard options like cheese, bacon, guac, bleu cheese, etc. I'm used to burger joints in Berlin having really exciting toppings like peanut butter, pineapple, Gorgonzola, curry sauce - fun stuff! Maybe The Bird is trying to be "American" but even in the States we love a creative burger! It seemed that the high cost of the burgers (€10+) must come from the absurdly large patty, not the toppings. I had The Big Rock and was pretty disappointed with the lackluster execution. I guess I'm just not a fan of huge burger patties. They're hard to eat and hard to cook properly, which is probably why my medium burger was well done on the outside and the center was raw. The gigantic patties seem like a gimmick to me. I would prefer a wider, thinner patty that can be cooked evenly. I thought the English muffin bun was nice, although the bottom half did become a soggy mess. The cheese on my burger was cut way too thick so it didn't even melt! No one likes cold hard cheese on their burger. :( It had fresh "jalapeños" but I'm not sure they were real because they were tiny, paper thin & hardly spicy. Overall my burger didn't have much taste and was a big let down. I wanted so badly to jump on The Bird bandwagon and love their over priced burger as much as everyone else! But I can't. There are so many other burger restaurants that are cheaper, have more interesting menus, and where I've never been disappointed with the quality. If I ever go back I will probably stick to eating wings, they were the highlight of my meal.

Martha L.

Yelp
This is the best burger I've had in Germany, and the fries are great too. Moderate beer selection. It's always nice to find a German restaurant that has IPAs. Such a fun atmosphere!

Stephanie G.

Yelp
Reminds me of an American bar. Burgers are huge and they give you plenty of fries. Service was fast but not overly friendly. Good food.

Jen S.

Yelp
I am a fan of this place, despite their burgers not being the best in Berlin. The atmosphere here is very relaxed and 'berlin esqe', everyone drinking, eating and chatting away without a care in the world. Our server here was pretty awesome. She was from London originally so she spoke english, and also gave us free Jager shots after our meal! Our food came out in a timely manner, all our orders were right and their fries were homemade!!! So on to the burger, they cook them to order, serve them on an english muffin (weird, but good idea I thought) which forces you to focus on the meat quality not the bread. Also does not fill you up on bread, instead on the meat and fries. I ordered my burger medium and it came out a bit too rare for me (not sure if this hurt the chances of this burger being number one, but I think not). Their meat is freshly grinded they said, and seems to taste different then other burger meats, but at a medium rare ish temperature I did not find it to be awesome, just good. Many people said this was the 'locals best burger place in berlin,' and although I will agree we were the only 'non locals' I would not go here for the burgers again, but the beer. They have a great selection of beer from other places which I think livens up their menu of meats only. So to sum it up, atmosphere is an A +, Burgers are a B-, Fries are an A, Service is an A+, Which overall makes this place a good hangout but not a favorite for me burgerwise.

Loretta B.

Yelp
The Bird is the word! I went to Berlin for New Years, 2010. While looking for a place to eat, the taxi driver suggested, The Bird. It was a little drive from our hostel, but absolutely worth it. The atmosphere was amazing, the service was quick and the best part by far was the food! The guys ordered steaks which were manly and soooo delicious!!! I ordered the most juiciest burger I have ever had, it was massive!! Everything was soooo good!! I would come back here at anytime and would definitely suggest this place to anyone! Thank you taxi driver! The bird is definitely the word!

Rebecca L.

Yelp
Hands down the best burger I've EVER eaten. I ordered 'Da Birdhouse' for a very reasonable €12.50 when you consider the huge portion size. My double burger patty came served in an English muffin dripping with cheese and a mountain of skinned fries and I mean a mountain. I had mine medium which is recommended and the meat was tender, juicy and flavoursome and I don't know what they put in the cheese but it's terrific. I demolished my burger with my hands (the quirkily written menu insists you at least try) and ate my side salad but sadly couldn't get through all the chips, though I really did try. Staff are so friendly and give great service even though it's packed. The decor is nice with wooden benches, tables and a bar. The only downsides were the wait (which was 50 minutes), however it was a very busy lunchtime and the toilets, which weren't great and the smell from the men's hits you as soon as you go down the stairs. That's the only reason I'm giving 4 stars in stead of five. I would highly recommend this place to any burger or steak loving individual! They also have vegetarian options but only two. If I'm ever in Berlin again I am definitely coming back for a repeat performance!

Kenny C.

Yelp
There's so much I could say about The Bird, but I'll keep it short: 1) If you think you can handle the napalm wings, think again. They allow you to get a side of napalm sauce instead, so do that if you're feeling adventurous. 2) You can "pimp" the fries that come with your burger by adding chili to them but it's a ton of food, so share the love. 3) If you order a burger medium, it will come medium well. 4) Our waitress gave us free shots because she was impressed that we could finish everything we ordered. But then again, we're used to American portions. 5) If you like jalapenos, then I highly recommend the Big Rock.

Paul S.

Yelp
I love this place. It feels like home, but not necessarily like NY, really. Definitely an American themed/style bar with awesome food, but not kitschy at all. This place is legit. Pro-tip: READ THE MENU!!! It's worth it. I order "Da Birdhouse" burger and it's my favorite. I come here every time I'm in Berlin.

Matt B.

Yelp
This is my first time ever writing a review for a restaurant, and it may be the only, but it is worth it if I can get people to shut up about this being the best in Berlin. I've lived in Berlin for 6 years, lived around the corner from The Bird for 2 years, and went there for the first time the other day to finally try out 'the best burger in Berlin'. Honestly, it was very, very disappointing. I had 'da birdhouse' burger, which seems to be their 'house burger'. No doubt, the quality of the meat was very good, and it was cooked really really well. But to have two huge patties of it, inside the tiniest English muffin bun just ended up being annoying to eat. Everything just kept falling apart, and I would find myself just having to scramble to get anything into my mouth. I think the worst part of the whole thing for me was the cheese. It says, 'american cheese' on the menu. I did not know that meant they would literally put a cold slice of american Kraft processed cheese onto the meat right before being served. I seriously love cheesy, bacony jalapeño-y burgers but this one would've been better without it, such was the plastic and horrible taste of the cheese. And really, if you're going to put that cheese, can't you at least cook the meat with it so it MELTS? It was super terrible. All in all, it's not a baaaad burger, but it is 100% not worth paying 13 euros for. I would at least have expected some proper cheese for that kind of money. With extra jalapeños (which were really dry and weird) and the napalm sauce which was 'liquified habanero' as someone earlier put, the price of my burger and fries came up at around 16 euros. No. I will never return and I will be taking less than half of that money to burgermeister where I can actually get the best burger in Berlin. If I can give it any pros, the fries were really good and the service was very friendly. But get some proper cheese for christ's sake.

Ash B.

Yelp
Pretty good! Burgers are huge, fries are great, waitstaff was great too. Go with medium rare and order the breakfast burger with cheddar!

Sophie P.

Yelp
Whatever you do, do not get the napalm wings, because by wing #3 you may experience pulmonary hypertension-- always go for the normal spicy option. Anyway, their burgers here are the best-- they have a great selection and their meals are huge so you won't go hungry. I really enjoy their BBQ sauce they use on the burgers and the breakfast burger with the egg sunny side up! It's a must try location when you're in Berlin for sure.

Michelle T.

Yelp
I made a reservation almost a month in advance due to hearing that this place gets mobbed. When we arrived it actually wasn't too busy at all (we went on a Sunday). Went to the bar, got a drink and was seated after about 10 minutes. Burgers were fantastic and service was very quick. A quick note to the previous reviewer who said they only serve meat medium rare that is a lie! They ask you how you like your burger/steak cooked and me and my bf both chose rare and that is exactly what came. They only recommend you choose medium rare but you don't need to have it that way. I was really hesitant about eating a burger in an English muffin but it actually worked very well for me (I ordered the marinara and mozzarella burger) so the bun soaked in all the sauce and it was bloody delicious! Boyfriend had the stingy gonzalez which i will post a picture of :) Chips were a novelty to me because in the UK nowhere really does skin on fries. The fries were good but could have been crispier as they were a little soggy. I shouldn't complain because really you are there to try the meat not the fries. I would come back to the bird again only just as a treat as it is a bit expensive at £12 for a burger and fries, but it does need to be done at least once when in Berlin. :)

Yelp
The Worst !! I was a client of the Bird for many Years ..unti i got a food poisoning. For the first ( and last time ) i ordered the "chili cheese fries". After more or less two hours i had the worst time of my life, i needed a doctor. The diagnosis was: Food poisoning. No doubt it was the bird. So if you really have to go there, better order the burger who seems to be fresh, suddently i cant say the same about the rest of the food.. You lost a client and with me many more.

Yelp
Great burgers! Make a reservation to make sure you get a table. I ordered The Filthy Harry (bacon and cheddar) without the bun but they got it wrong and it was served without bacon. Instead of having fries they offered me Caesar salad which was very nice. I would recommend going for medium instead of medium-rare if you are sensitive to red meat. My friend couldn't finish her portion so I helped her. The staff is very nice and helpful.

Yelp
I was a bit skeptical to try this place being from New York, and they describe themselves as a New York style bar, but I came here anyway based off a friends recommendation. I was happily surprised to find a good selection of burgers with fun names. I ordered the BBQ burger and it was a bit too greasy, but overall it was pretty good! I have to commend them on changing it up by using English muffins as buns because it actually works! I do say though, I would pass on the fries if you come here because they were pretty soggy. Otherwise This is a solid place for burgers and I would recommend a visit if you're in the area (but I would not go out of my way for this.)

Yelp
THE place to go for wings. There's a couple things you need to know about the bird: - There is "The Bird" Am Falkplatz, in the northern part of Berlin, and "Bird in X-Berg". Go to the first one, quality is much better and the atmosphere is something special. - Book in advance, otherwise you'll sit at the bar. - Although many people go for the burgers, try the wings - they're their speciality. Watch out for the Napalm wings though, really hot! - Once you're here, try the Anchor Steam Bear - it's a classic beer straight from California which is an absolute classic. Can't get it everywhere so enjoy it while you visit the Bird!

Yelp
This place is awesomely köstlich (that's delicious for you non-German speaking Yelpers). Probably second on my all-time best burger list. The burger on an english muffin has changed me forever. Now it's all we do at home when grilling out. The burgers are huge, so be prepared to get messy. Should you go? Ja!

Yelp
Let me tell you a secret. I don't like burgers. In the US everyone tried to get me into it and I was just meh. Maybe it's because I like gobbling down my food like some savage, and a burger is just gone with a couple bites, no matter how condensed those are, so I'm not really forced to enjoy it. So when my new boss - who eats for two, but no vegetables, and spicier than anyone I encountered in Thailand, India or China - invited the team there, I was skeptical. I ended up liking it. And the napalm sauce he ordered was just... What. My mouth went numb and I started drooling. That should be illegal. Anyway, he ended up inviting us again and this second time I was like "Gee this is REALLY good. Like, deliciously awesome.". So yeah, long story short, this place made me like burgers. Twist though: Any other place I've tried since did not cut it. Only the Bird delivers. Weird right? I think it's just that good. Maybe it's just me, though. Oh and for the record, I ordered their avocado-themed burgers, rare, and chili cheese fries.

Yelp
This place is burger heaven. Tried two different burgers here on two separate visits - and both were beyond incredible. The patty was probably over an inch thick, and cooked exactly as I requested both times. Be aware if you like your burgers well done like I do, they'll resist a bit, but they'll honor your request. And honestly, even well done, their burgers have tons of flavor. I think The Bird wins the prize for the best burger of all time - at least in my burger experiences so far. Atmosphere is a pub-like very casual vibe, with indoor seating, and some outdoor tables. They also serve some great beers. This place gets really busy, although fortunately, I didn't have to wait on either visit. I highly recommend this place if you appreciate an awesome burger.

Yelp
This was the first of 3 burgers I had in 5 days in Berlin (fatty I know). It was a good burger, not great. The portion of chips was huge, I genuinely struggled with this meal which is really saying something. I left very full as I ended up helping Emily with hers...(again fatty I know) The place itself is very cool. Had some good music on, a great atmosphere and nice chatty staff. If I lived in Berlin I would probably go here regularly, treat it like I treat the beagle in Chorlton. By the same measure, although I enjoyed it, if I was to go back to Berlin, I wouldn't make an effort to go back.

Yelp
Food poisoning. I went there yesterday, September 6th at 5pm and had called in my order 20mins before arriving in hopes it would be complete. We ended up waiting an additional 30 mins. I ordered a medium rare Bird House (mine) along with some mild wings and 2 other Bird houses (medium). I ate the burger and some hours later was throwing up, aches, pains, dizziness. The doctor confirmed it was food poisoning. Take care if you go to the bird. I will not return and neither will my friends.

Yelp
This is my favorite burger. I don't care what anyone says. I have eaten burgers all over the world and this is my happy place. I came here once three years ago and have dreamed about it since; came back recently and it was just as I remembered. I have to imagine that people who don't like it either went to other locations (I wouldn't take any chances) or just have different preferences. This burger is JUICY. Falls apart while you eat it. I get "Da Birdhouse" and it's just big and drippy and delicious. You just have to grab it buy the hands and get your face all the way up in it. Open wide because it's big! Expect it all over your face and hands and just enjoy it uninterrupted (I would suggest going solo or with someone else who is similarly sensual for this reason). They keep a roll of paper towels on the table for that reason, so don't be afraid. Get it with a draft beer and just chill out. Believe me when I say I'm jealous of anyone about to eat this!

Yelp
Okay bad things first. It was okay for me personally the english muffin was too small for the actual patty and my burger just fell apart as I ate it.. Had the ginger ale and erm it tasted very watered down and kinda gross lol. If you need to use the bathroom erm.. just go somewhere else. Chicken wings (my mom got mild and I had some of hers) weren't that great. Now for the good things. Service was fantastic. THE CHICKEN TENDERS WERE A 10/10 AMAZING. The fries were tasty but oddly small though and kinda cold.

Yelp
Place is pretty good. The steaks on the rock were amazing. Also the dried steak on rock was phenomenal. I had the giant burger but it was bland I don't like wasting food so it all went down believe it or not. Wish I was in Germany longer but had to pleasure of dining here.
