Absolutely fantastic - our favorite meal that we had while visiting Scotland this past summer. We still think about it today! Such a gorgeous, tucked away location in the Scottish countryside and had a cozy farmhouse vibe. The waitstaff were absolutely wonderful and the food was delicious and tasted like a home cooked meal. They were also very accommodating when it came to my severe treenut allergy. This was the perfect way to end our day of exploring the Highlands and we would eat here again in an instant!

We stopped by here spontaneously with no booking. Very very busy place, beautiful inside warm and cozy with the Halloween/ autumn theme going on. The lovely guy who greeted us managed to accommodate us and with a large seat by the window 🙏. The menu was great lots of different options, very reasonable priced, quick service, food was amazing and huge portion sizes that we all loved. Will definitely be back. Loved the background music too. Would recommend booking though

Great place nicely located looking out over the fields. There’s a beautiful beer garden area with speakers in it that catches the sun. The bar area is also dog friendly. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. I had a starter of wings with spicy sauce (my girlfriend wasn’t impressed with the mess I made of myself) which were absolutely banging. Steak pie main was also delicious. Food was served quickly. Minor criticism that the bar service seemed quite slow. In fairness there was a wedding thing on and people ordering cocktails, but at one point the bar was backing up and there only seemed to be one person serving.

Highly recommend this lovely pub! I’m not local, but wanted to arrange a party for my Mum’s big birthday. I managed to do all this via email, and always had quick responses to any questions I had. They really pulled all the stops out on the day, and I honestly can’t fault them in anyway. They had the room all set up and ready for us in plenty of time, they had a Bluetooth speaker ready for me so I could play my own music, the food was absolutely incredible, everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. They catered to all of our dietary needs as well. Most of all the service and care was second to none. All the staff were absolutely fantastic, and really looked after us. Fantastic party venue in Stirling! (Decorations supplied by Sublime Events)

Booked here for husbands birthday dinner. Had the best meal I've had for a long time anywhere. The staff were very attentive and friendly, did not have to wait for anything from start to finish. The food was amazing, I even asked if I could get the recipe for the haggis soup. It was amazing. Decent size portions for the money and we had 3 courses each. Defo recommend for here for a lovely night out.

Google
A wonderful restaurant with incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. My partner had a fillet steak which was cooked to perfection. I tried the chicken Parmesan, which was both crispy where it should be and a sauce which you could taste was made freshly, it was the best I have ever had! The bar are has a warm, inviting feel with its live fireplace and is dog friendly adding to the atmosphere. We cannot wait to visit again soon!

The place it's self was very nice and cosy as was the service from all staff we encountered. What let it down for me was the food. Yes the place was busy so kitchen would have been under pressure but I wasn't overly impressed. My starter was the scallops and the portion was tiny and lukewarm. I had the chicken tikka for main and the best way I could describe it was extremely average. For the prices I was expecting far more. Lovely place to have a drink especially outside withbthe great views but we were not impressed with the food .

Yelp
Oh wow! Ya gotta try the cheesecake! It was the smoothest cheesecake I've ever had! Please forgive the picture - I assumed the cheesecake would be ho-hum, so I took a bite before I took a pic. We also had the beef stew - everything was cooked perfectly! Decor is lovely I'd go back!

Yelp
To be fair, they had a wedding event, a regular restaurant full of people, and our large group of 20. As a server (in a past life)- I get it, they were weeded in every sense of the word. HOWEVER- the vegetarian pasta I was served was terrible. And the fact that they didn't come back with water like ever, is unacceptable. The rest of my group had the pot roast which they liked just fine- but no one had water and we ran out of bread very quickly. It could have been better.

Yelp
There has been improvement since my last review over ten years ago ( how time passes). Service has improved and food is quite good

Yelp
As a local I've visited this place my whole life. As far as food goes it's probably a 8/10, but the atmosphere is amazing. The deco is a charming slice of USA, but the place itself is through and through Scottish. I'd recommend for anyone, hungry teenagers, a family birthday, a few drinks to catch up with friends. The waiting staff are kind, and helpful. The restaurant is clean and cosy. The food is tasty and filling.

Yelp
Fantastic restaurant! Stopped here on a drive from Edinburgh to Inverness. My sister and I had jacket potatoes which were large and delicious! Good for vegetarians and gluten free! My brother had the macaroni and cheese which he loved! Finished the meal off with cappuccinos and desert. All yummy! Good quick service and nice atmosphere. Would certainly go back!

Yelp
We were looking for a good place where to eat without spending a lot of money so we decided to eat here. This place is really amazing. Terrific location, an entertaining waiter and last but not least the food that is very very very good. We are definitely going to come back here.

Yelp
This is one of my 'locals' even though I don't frequent it as much now since I no longer have a friend living in the next street. I've always had good experiences here. The menu always has good specials - fish dishes are always nice, and I'm a fan of the BBQ ribs that appear from time to time. The steak pie on the regular menu is second to none. Market Veg and Chips that come with most dishes are always fresh and delicious. I would like to see more imaginative starters, and I think certain special starters - for example crab cakes - would be better on the standard menu rather than some of the other options. The steak is always good and comes with a huge selection of trimmings and optional toppings. Birds and Bees is a nice place to sit, comfy with a log fire and some great big tables to play games on. I've never had bad service here, although it could be friendlier - I've never felt like a 'regular' in this pub even tho I have been one for some time! There's a quiz on a tuesday that's well-attended now since Europa Ewan and his associate took on duties as Quizmaster. I have whiled away many a quiet evening with a friend playing games and talking about our lives and putting jazz on the jukebox. The high points are - specials menu, steak options, cask ales (the house ale, Birds and Bees, is fabulous, as are the other Williams Bros options on offer) and a huge selection of very good whiskies (every variety of Isle of Jura, for example). The decor is a little confused - never liked the cowhide that's covering so much stuff, but the sheep are iconic and I love all the farming paphernalia adorning the walls. This gastro-pub could be livelier, but it's still deservedly popular and a nice place for a quiet night out drinking good drink. It is slightly on the pricey side for pub grub but the portions and quality generally make up for this.

Yelp
I think I've finally made up my mind about the Birds and the Bees. When in Cornton and not wanting to venture far for a quiet drink, it is the place I will most likely end up. But the service is terrible. Just the other night, my boyfriend's unfinished drink was taken away by a waiter collecting empty glasses. We quickly motioned that it still had a little left and he, not even looking at us and without saying a word, pushed it quickly back. The bar staff are also minimal in their chat, not saying much more than what's required to take your order. For these reasons, I never rush back to the Birds & Bees.

Yelp
Friendly staff, have a good array of wines and spirits reasonably priced, a bit out of the way from the city centre the staff are young friendly and most helpfull, I personally choose to spend my christmas eve in the Bees catching up with old school and university friends, great pub with good food and an amazing atmosphere, can hold partys in its function room and can also do buffets for events

Yelp
Food and the vibe was excellent, I think it's more of a family oriented bar though. I sat down at the bar and ordered food and it took some time for the staff to get around to taking my order and paying. They had their hands full serving the locals.

Yelp
Well, I was just a strolling by with my pet hamster and decided to pop in for a wee fiz. While I found it unusual that the stools were set up upside down I ordered my Magners with ice anyhow. Before long, a nice curious young chap came by and stood next us and ask my wee hamster if he wouldn't mind joining him for a walk to the toilet and a fag.... ol' hammy took the bait and was gone for about 25minutes. When they returned, hammy was hairless and about 5lbs heavier. I instantly felt gutted knowing my Lil partner just ate the arse outta this flamer and lost his coat up his whindy pooper of love. Clearly, I had no choice but to gut that Lil quere with the bar spoon and reclaim hammy coat.
