We come to Bodega Bay regularly and decided to try something new today. Firstly, the employees are less than friendly. Never smile, say "you're welcome", nothing. Okay, no big deal. The food looks great when it comes out. One bite in, and I could tell something was off. We ordered fish and chips, fish tacos, oysters, and calamari. The not fresh obviously frozen fish was battered about a half inch thick in the most greasy, disgusting batter I've ever tried. The fish tacos had no flavor whatsoever, even after adding lime and lemon in hopes to cover up what little I could taste- grease. Their tartar sauce was awful. The oysters were tastless. The pros: plenty of outdoor seating, the fries were edible, and the calamari was good.

Google
Beautiful patio overlooking Bodega Bay and delicious seafood. We had the lobster roll and the crab roll, both perfectly made and relatively reasonably priced. Also had 6 raw oysters, which were super fresh. Then we headed over to their soft serve ice cream shop for dessert, then bought a cool souvenir shot glass in their gift shot. A great one-stop-shop in Bodega Bay!

Google
The food was delicious, the wine decent, the staff very nice and accommodating, and the views gorgeous. So why not 5 stars? Lots of wasps when we were there. It was a weekday so had our choice of tables in all the outdoor “rooms” (all beautiful views of one kind or another). But the wasps know a great spot when they find one. Everywhere we tried to sit they were nearby and wandered over. With an allergic dog, trying to stay away from the wasps was our focus rather than enjoying everything else. The restaurant can’t control where wasps go in the great outdoors. Without them though, it would have been a truly delightful lunch with a gorgeous view.

My husband and I made a quick lunch stop in Bodega Bay and stopped at Blackbird Cafe without reading reviews, just pulled in due to their patio overlooking the bay. We had our socks knocked off by the fish tacos 🤤🤤 I’m fact, we spent the rest of our 2 week road trip along the Pacific Coast up to Seattle talking about, and trying to find, fish tacos as good as these. Parking is available although the lot is small and probably fills up quickly. The patio is large with a view of the bay. They were busy, but service was fast. A great stop for fish tacos!

Google
Service was great and the atmosphere was amazing on the outdoor seating with the great view. It's not too crouded and each table had plenty of room without bumping into the table next to you. The food was average, I wouldn't say better than others. The oysters were good but smaller than I expected. For the price and size of the clam chowder I was hoping it would be good but it fell short on flavor. My son ordered the lobster roll, he said it was good but felt like the portion was reallt small. Boyfriend ordered the fish and chips, definitely lots of breading but the fish was good and the fries normal. Beers on tap were good though and we always like trying out local beers. If you want great atmosphere this is definitely the place.

We had to visit because what’s Bodega Bay if not experienced in the context of Hitchcock’s iconic movie, right? The momentos were definitely educational and the right kind of companion while enjoying the pastries. The view and photo op definitely sets you in the mind set of “doing nothing”. 🌸💗 To top it off is the food at the main restaurant. My kids loved the grilled oysters! 🦪 You’ve never had fish and chips 🎣 until you try theirs and their lobster roll 🦞sandwich turns on lethargic taste buds only good seafood can do! Fresh and fairly priced food choices, authentic service, and an ambience so rarely seen anywhere else, I’m already dreaming of coming back. So blessed to have made this core memory with my kids 🌸🙏🏼💗

just keeping up with the J.

Google
Food was EXCELLENT. Extremely tasty fish & chips...tartar sauce had a little kick and the batter on the fish was seasoned amazingly. Mrs. got the artichoke tacos and was absolutely impressed. Fast friendly service. Will definitely be back and would recommend highly.

Google
This place is something special, so if you're just driving by or planning your rehearsal dinner, The Birds Cafe is one of those rare gems that makes you feel instantly at home — with seriously good eats and gorgeous views to match! We had our rehearsal dinner here with our wedding party and couldn’t have picked a better place! The setup was perfect — we sat together inside, everyone ordered what they wanted at the outdoor window, and drinks were easy to grab! The staff was so kind and thoughtful, making sure vegan and gluten-free options were ready for us (which meant a lot to us since the options were amazing and special!) and even delivered our order right to our tables. Our vegetarian friends are still dreaming about the artichoke dishes! And our Vegan friend, said she was over the moon with her Tofu Tacos! To top it off, we got married at Secret Gardens — and it turns out the owners of The Birds Cafe are the very family who originally created that venue. That little detail made everything feel extra meaningful! If you plan to do your rehearsal or a larger group meet up here, drop Melissa an email and she can help (just use the email address on their website)🥰

Yelp
While spending 3 glorious nights by myself near Bodega - I stopped for a lobster roll snd fries from The Birds. Delicious! Fresh lobster meat, good seasonings, nicely toasted bun. Crunchy good fries. So good... I went back one more time on my trip.

Yelp
Fun little spot. I occasionally head to bodega to fish and hike, or to just enjoy the ocean. I was feeling hungry on my way back and saw the birds cafe on the side. The restaurant had 10 minutes left to open so I got myself a double espresso at the Coffee shop on the side that had some really great looking bakery goods. There was a little cooler with some wine and other beverages (I picked up a bottle of the rose for dinner). Once the restaurant opened I jumped to order. The food is ordered at the smaller pick up looking window. Food was great! There was fish and shrimp tacos (2 ), and I got the option of splitting one fish and one shrimp which was nice. Got myself a beer and enjoyed the food. The coleslaw was refreshing to the beer battered shrimp and fish. I got some hot sauce on the side. Great portions! It was very filling. The service was very friendly from the coffee shop, to the gentleman taking my order, and the cook handing me the food! I definitely want to go back and check out their fish and chips or the artichoke fritters or even crab/lobster rolls! More pictures will come!

Yelp
Drove up to the area for some oysters on a Saturday. We arrived around 1:30pm and there was plenty of outdoor seating, but parking was a different story. There's a small parking lot adjacent to the restaurant but there's limited spots even at that time. The restaurant is broken up to a gift shop, the cafe, and the restaurant. You order food from the store window for food and then you're welcome to sit anywhere, and there's seating by the cafe or behind the ordering window on the patio. This place is very dog friendly, so bring your pup on your next food adventure. Ordering was quick and easy. Go up to the window when you're ready and then you get a buzzer and the food will be called/you'll be buzzed for pickup at the back window. At the back window there's are also water dispenser and cups. Food: - oysters (raw and grilled) were so sweet and fresh. Note about the raw oysters, there's only one type so you don't have a variety to choose from. -lobster roll - I'd come back for the lobster roll. I only got a few bites but it was amazing -corn dog and fries - can't ruin a corn dog, but the fries were just right. Not too oily or salted. After eating we finished eating, we went to the cafe next door for some coffee, but the service here was unlike that of the food window. Cafe service was slow and coffee was mediocre at best. Would recommend coming for the food and skipping on the coffee.

Yelp
We stopped by this cute spot for the oysters and they did not disappoint. Hog island oysters prepared in classic and unique ways. The raw was great and the blue cheese was unique and delicious. The eating area is an elevated outdoor patio with views of the bay. It's close to the road so you can hear the traffic but it's not bad. It's a self service situation where you order at the window and get a buzzer to grab your food on a tray when it's ready. There is also a restroom and a little boutique style gift shop. Regarding the food, it was all delicious but if I had to pick my least favorite, it'd be the tacos.

Yelp
Darn, forgot to post this. Was a while back. Just kind of stumbled upon this place on a trip down the coast back to SF. Pretty basic as far as ordering at the windows and eating wherever you can find a table, luck it was inside the adjacent bakery since weather was a bit damp and chilly to sit outside. Anyway, the food was good, fresh, well prepared. Sorry it took so long to post!

Yelp
If you're driving along Hwy 1 and/or are vacationing along Bodega Bay, you might have heard of the local-owned small biz The Birds Cafe. Came with a friend who highly recommended their fish n chips. I've only tried Fishertarian for seafood along the coast, so I was stoked to check out The Birds. We both had their fish and chips which came out hot and flavorful. The half a dozen oysters were on the smaller size, but delicious and worth every dollar. The chips are more circular and girthy than other types of F&C, with a thicker battered shell but still light and easy to crunch through. Their fries are delicious too. Parking is in a small dusty lot, so keep your windows rolled up. We saw families, kids, and dogs. Serve-yourself water. And a single unisex restroom stall shared among all shops. There's a little cafe next door too if you need a coffee or some pastries. I love that it's a small biz and there was literally only three people running the entire joint on a busy weekend! Service is friendly, and don't worry the line looks long, but moves quickly by the minute. HATS OFF to The Birds team. Would def come back with the pup to enjoy their nice and shady deck while enjoying some yummy foods.

Yelp
Service: 5: It is a window service business. Meaning you order at a window and then you find a table. If you go to the coffee house the barista was really friendly. She gave me the whole history about the Bird cafe. The coffee shop is the actual house of the owner. The owner met on the set of the movie as extras. Ambiance: 5. It's a really cute place. It sits near the water. There's outdoor seating and some inside the coffee shop. Food: 5 Crab roll: 5 If you thought lobster rolls were delicious, this crab roll will change your mind. It had whole chunks of fresh crab and the price was very reasonable. Dozen fresh oysters: 5 The oysters were very fresh and creamy. It was refreshing and kept cold. You can put sauces on it but I tend to eat them naked.

Yelp
Two people in the same week recommended the Birds Café to me and so off we went to the coast. And happily to the coast we went since we've been seeing triple digit temps at home. My wifi quit working on the way so we didn't know exactly where we needed to go. Luckily, about a mile before, it finally started working! We have driven by this place at least 50 times and never noticed it. They have a parking lot big enough for about 12-15 cars. It was full when we arrived so we parked across the street. There were several people in line and as we were talking about what to order, the gentleman in front of us said that this line is for the bathroom! Orders are taken at a window just to the left. Everyone else was in line for the restroom. LOL My husband placed the order as I looked for a place to sit. There are several areas to sit with a view of the harbor and there are a few tables in front of The Birds Café Coffee House too. I went up to the top level where there are many tables with umbrellas as well as water bowls for your furry friend. Found a table the second time around! My husband was given a beeper so we didn't have to stand around for our food. Nice. They beeped us and off my husband went to pick up our order. He came back with this large amount of food, it was almost comical. On his tray there was: 2-piece fish & chips for each of us Artichoke fritters Clam chowder Spinach salad The fish is truly excellent. Almost like the fish is dunked into a nicely seasoned batter before it's fried. The fish is incredibly thick and huge and not greasy. Each order comes with little containers of ketchup, vinegar, and tartar sauce. I could only eat one since the fish pieces are hefty in size. The artichoke fritters are outstanding too. I think my husband ordered the spinach salad to counteract all the fried food so it was a nice change of pace. The salad came with cranberries, sliced almonds, crumbled cheese and a light raspberry vinaigrette. We are pretty picky about our clam chowder and this one was just okay. It didn't taste like clams to us. French fries also just okay. The setting was perfect on this Tuesday afternoon. No wind, sunny day in the high 60's. It was crowded so I can only imagine how busy this place must get on the weekends. We really enjoyed our time out in Bodega Bay and will definitely be back for another bite now that we know where this place is. I took a street view to hopefully make it easier for you to find. Candy & Kites is between the Birds Café and the Boat House restaurant.

Yelp
Perfect weather on the coast and the best fish and chips I've ever had!! Don't let the line scare you! The kitchen kicks ass and gets dishes out Fast. Chowder was good and everyone enjoyed the tacos but by far, the fish and chips stole the show
google avatar

Leslie Y.

Yelp
Good enough food at a very convenient location in Bodega Bay, there's a large patio that accommodates many tables and it's also pet-friendly. The fish tacos I had were tasty, but definitely not the best I've had. I thought the fish was fried a little too much.
google avatar

Yelp
The Birds Cafe seems like a very popular joint. It's to the side of the Coffee house and doesn't open until 1100. Their fish and chips were very crispy and well seasoned. The chicken breasts were also very flaky. The corn chowder had good flavor, obviously fresh clams. Service was very fast for the opening rush (people were lining up right before 11). They had a lot of outdoor seating which was nice for kiddos to run around and dogs to hang out. They had doggie water bowls. Nice view of the ocean. The coffee house had a great variety of pastries. The French toast sticks was a favorite of our kid since they basically tasted like fried donuts

Yelp
First visit and liked it okay. Nice indoor and scenic view outdoor seating. Plenty of parking. Clean restrooms (outside). There is the restaurant and a separate coffee/pastry shop. For the restaurant you order at an outside window from a disinterested staff. You are given a pager to notify when to return and pickup your order. Inside seating was in the coffee shop where we were greeted by big smiles and friendly staff. Fish (cod?) and chips as well as fish (cod?) tacos were good enough. The fried prawns were tasty as was the clam chowder. The star of the show however were the onion rings! Not my first choice in the area but I would go back.
google avatar

Autumn K.

Yelp
Ew. I've been on the hunt for good chowder and this was far from it. Everything was average, including service. Not worth the money at all. Seating outside. I can't even remember what else I ordered and it was only a couple weeks ago
google avatar

Yelp
I stopped by for lunch on a sunny day and this was a home run. The Hitchcock wink just gilds this very pleasant spot. The Birds sits right off the water with multiple levels of scenic, outdoor seating wrapped around the little kitchen where you order and pick up. Pass the single stall bathroom, and you'll find an adjacent building set up as a coffee shop. The menu is simple, but effective. Fish Tacos: Loved them. The fish has a light, crisp batter. They're served with shredded cabbage, fresh pico de gallo, and an avocado sauce on top. Two hearty tacos to an order and so good. Artichoke Fritters: I know this is county fair food, but I loved these. I thought they might be heavy, but they were actually pretty crunchy, frilly, and delicate. They're good with the ranch on the side and a little hot sauce. The portion is honestly giant which is fun. I took my leftovers home and enjoyed them again that night!

Yelp
Stopped by here for lunch because the reviews were good. Order at the window and you get a little buzzer so feel free to roam around while you wait or just take a seat in the dining area outside! Came here on a sunny day, it wasn't too packed and had a considerable amount of seating choices. I ordered the shrimp tacos and onions rings and my sister got the clam chowder. The tacos were fully packed to the brim with veggies and what not, it was crunchy and delicious. A solid 8/10. I wish they had more sauce inside the taco that stood out more. The clam chowder was a decent sizable meal too! The onion rings were so crunchy and good.
google avatar

Betty B.

Yelp
Loved everything we ordered. The clam chowder is definitely my favorite just needed a little salt packet added and it was perfect. Plenty of seating outside with nice views and flowers.
google avatar

Amber R.

Yelp
After parking in a narrow lot, the restaurant has a lovely view of the ocean up on their platform seating area. They had lots of tables outside to eat at. Ordering was a little bit of a wait, but worth it! The fish & chips were hot, the artichoke tacos were overflowing & the oysters were fresh! I'll definitely be back again!
google avatar

Megan R.

Yelp
Best crab sandwich and calimari I have ever had!!! It's so nice to go to a sit down place too. Food was amazing I can't wait to go again!
google avatar

Dessa R.

Yelp
Gorgeous views, charming cafe and friendly staff. Food was ok, not bad...I'd come back to try other dishes. Didnt have any americano or the ham & cheese puffs, but had regular coffee.
google avatar

Galya T.

Yelp
Great outdoor spot for tacos and fish and chips and more. Connected to an outside area where you can grab delicious coffee. Their lavender latte was very delicious. Outside seating with bay view with cold beer and fish and chips, what else can you ask for sunny summer evening.
google avatar

Tasha M.

Yelp
Cute spot with a partial view of the bay, didn't go to the indoor bakery or coffee shop / gift shop but also have those on property. Very dog friendly with a few outdoor spots, parking lot has limited spots but people leave quickly, also could park at Deli/Grocery across the road. Order at the counter outside & pick up your drinks right away and get a buzzer for food. We had the La Crema Sauvignon Blanc (comes in a small outdoor plastic cup) and Bodega Bay IPA (large plastic glass) - both were perfectly cold temperature. We ordered bbq oysters with her butter, fish & chips (can pick 2 or 3 piece) and shrimp (breaded) tacos. All of the food was very fresh and came out quickly with all the sauces needed on the side (tartar, vinegar and ketchup). The fish was amazing - and oysters were bbq perfectly. French fries were a little bland and could have been crisper and I prefer slightly less batter than they used on fish & chips and shrimp but it was very tasty! I will be back with my pups again!

Tess V.

Yelp
Wonderful lunch overlooking the water. Quick and fast service. The fish and chips were the best in a long time. We had both bbq and raw oysters both were fabulous and fresh. Look forward to returning.

Yelp
Took a short trip up to Bodega Bay and stumbled upon The Birds Cafe. Glad we did. It was so good, we ate lunch there 2 days in a row. First rate fish and chips. My wife opted for the crab roll. Second day, she read their corn dogs were supposed to be great, and since you can't find a Hot Dog on a Stick anywhere these days, she went for that. Said it was delicious. I had the shrimp tacos. Packed with fried shrimp. Only complaint was that the sauce upstaged the shrimp a bit. Don't forget to get a soft serve too.
google avatar

Eileen A.

Yelp
Line moves fairly quickly and we enjoyed the oysters, fish tacos and fried artichokes. Nice view and oh, they're opened past 5! Service was fine, not one way or another. Parking is sometimes packed but just be patient! Prices are comparable with other popular spots. CHOWDAH - was sorely disappointing. The soup itself felt extra starchy (?) while thin and lacking flavor. I thought every chowder in Bodega Bay would be good and the other spots were great. Would not recommend it here. Everything else was fine.
google avatar

Chloe B.

Yelp
The parents got away from the babies for an appetizer and a glass of wine. I got the fried artichokes. Yummm. The oysters were for my husband. He got bbqd not raw. He did half garlic/herb and BBQ for the flavors. He enjoy the garlyn herb. Sometimes simple is better. Even if it started pouring after we got our food it was a goon experience. They have a public bathroom and plenty of outdoor seating. Recommend for a quick and cute meal. Staff was friendly and helpful!

Yelp
Good coffee, amazingly well done churros, and moderate chai latte. 4 stars for the friendly girl at the counter, not the rude one, and what looked like very nice croissants. Lots of places to sit outside and explore different paths that may lead to nowhere. Parking is a nightmare- narrow, packed, with very aggressive people waiting while you walk to car etc. just know that if you go down into the lot, turning around is a 15 point turn at min due to the narrowness. One star off for the kitchen guy who came out from the next door kitchen, sighed loudly, wiped his head and face with his bare hands, rubbed head and moaned aggressively, letting out the days' frustrations before digging in as he sat at the first table outside by the entrance. Next, he played an episode of his fave true crime podcast loudly while enjoying his lunch. The manager or whomever she was came out and spied on him (stood in back of him and watched him) yet she didn't ask him to move or turn his phone sound down. Ugh makes me not want to ever work in a kitchen and probably won't come back to try the food if it is THAT rough to work there. Strange vibes. Yikes. Long line that moved quickly for the fried food fest next door. Bathroom is outside by the line for fried food.
google avatar

Tiffany A.

Yelp
Yum yum yum!! Went here with a party of four for a late lunch. My husband and I split the clam chowder, crab roll and two fish tacos. While the price was a little high, everything was delicious. My favorite was the crab roll - it was cold (unexpected but so good), and the buttery bread was just delicious. The fish tacos were really tasty too but there was almost too much fish and not enough toppings! The outdoor seating for this place is beautiful and has a lovely overlook of the bay. It's a very nice and unpretentious food spot in the area.
google avatar

Tara S.

Yelp
Wanted to add that we went back to the cafe on a different day and tried some breakfast items, the ham and cheese puff and the bacon breakfast burrito! Very good and filling breakfast! The ham and cheese puff was like a big square hot pocket with a light flaky pastry outside and big chunks of ham and melty cheese inside! Yet another reason to stop at The Birds Cafe!
google avatar

Albina M.

Yelp
I'm so glad we got to enjoy this gem of a place this past weekend! The weather was sunny and glorious, so it made sitting on the deck extra pleasant. Hubby and I were able to snatch a private little corner spot overlooking the water and felt like we were the only ones there :) For our entrees we ordered the fish and chips and a couple shrimp tacos. Food was prepped in about 15 minutes. Everything was so fresh and tasty. I love that there were so many condiments included - hot sauce, tartar sauce, some kind of vinegar sauce, lemons, and limes. It was fun topping our food in different ways to come up with yummy combinations. Apart from the food, the staff was also great - friendly and efficient. The premises was clean and well tended to as well. There was a place adjacent to the cafe that sells coffee and soft serve. We didn't have any this time, but I thought it was great to have the option right next door so that you can enjoy the area for just a little bit longer. 5 stars!
google avatar

Tiffany S.

Yelp
Great spot for coffee and a light breakfast. Like their chai latte, sausage egg muffin, and sea salt chocolate chip cookie. The cookie is topped with maldon sea salt! Everything here is pretty good, would stop by again if we're in the area
google avatar

Mark K.

Yelp
This review is for the cafe / bakery portion of this business. I ordered an iced chai latte with almond milk and one of the very big salted chocolate chip cookies. Both were good. I really liked the funky outdoor space they have behind the cafe. There were plenty spots out of the sun on this unusually warm coastal day.
google avatar

Steve T.

Yelp
We came here for the coffee and cinnamon rolls. They make their own pastries so we bought the cinnamon rolls which they add the white stuff on at the end. Server was cool and this place has a relaxing yoga vibe which I liked.
google avatar

Joshua B.

Yelp
Before we left Bodega Bay, we finally stopped at this great looking cafe we drove past a ton of times. We got there right as they opened, and everyone was friendly and welcoming. While we waited, we checked out the historical pictures hung throughout of the namesake film by Alfred Hitchcock. I ordered a white mocha and a breakfast burrito. The coffee was good, and the burrito hit the spot. It was better than the one we had tried from diekmanns the day before. My kiddo ordered a white mocha blended and absolutely loved it. Wish we had stopped there sooner as it would've been a daily visit.
google avatar

Paul R.

Yelp
Great little spot on the north side of Bodega Bay off of route 1. It has a little restaurant, a coffee shop, and a gift shop in three separate small buildings. We ordered the fish & chips and the fish tacos. Both were pretty good. The homemade tartar sauce had a unique flavor and really went well with the fish. The parking is right off route 1, which I would imagine is crazy packed during high season. Great place to stop with a nice outdoor patio! Decent wine selection by the glass.
google avatar

Cathy L.

Yelp
Fun fact: Bodega Bay is known for its part in the classic film The Birds . Which you will find everywhere in there decor and in the sky! We enjoyed our lunch here at cafe. The view was beautiful and the weather was perfect. The staff were friendly and the patio setting was delightful.
google avatar

Xiao L.

Yelp
Delicious seafood. It was sooooo hard to pick what to get between the oysters, fish, lobster roll... wish I could've gone multiple times but alas I'll just have to come back next time. Fish and chips were sensational and oysters were fantastic.
google avatar

Allan K.

Yelp
Obviously have to come and try their artichoke fritters and the hog island oysters! A little booth that serves all the food is all you need when you an sit outside! Gotta try the shrimp next time as that was popular. The fritters were definitely a hit and the chowder was not bad! Had to also get the BBQ oysters so my wife could like it too!
google avatar

Marla C.

Yelp
Great food, good service! Both inside and outside seating. Would come here again! The fish and shrimp tacos were delicious. The raw oysters were fresh and delicious. Oyster roll was moist and very tasty.
google avatar

Jim M.

Yelp
A real gem on the coast. So many good, fresh things on the menu. Wonderful fish & chips, prawns that are so huge! Artichoke fritters & onion rings are a must have too! Very shareable for 4 people. Fish tacos are really good too! For the non-seafood lovers they offer corn dogs that are big and as good as those you crave at the State Fair. You can get really good - and big - chicken strips that are very juicy too. Don't forget the clam chowder or barbecued oysters from Hog Island. They have also added a little coffee shop & bakery with indoor seating to get out of Bodega Bay's bipolar weather. Grab a wonderful soft serve cone to go too. Lots of outdoor seating with great harbor views. The line moves fast and you will see the staff working hard to make sure it's clean and efficient! Enjoy!

Margee L.

Yelp
This place had some of the best fish and chips I've ever tasted! I'm from Oregon and for years a friend and I would rate fish and chips up and down the Oregon coast. We found some really tasty places, but hands down, this beats all of them! The fries were even good, but the fish was amazing! My only suggestion would be to add some coleslaw to the meal. It'd likely make a fairly expensive meal even more so, but it would definitely round out a solid fish and chips experience!
google avatar

Haanpaa H.

Yelp
The clam chowder was thin and had a spicy flavor not bad but not New England . The fish and chips were really good. The girls in the restaurant were mildly friendly. ...
google avatar

Haley T.

Yelp
Did a small food tour coming down the 1 and this spot had the best raw oysters! We also got shrimp tacos from here and they were fresh and tasty as well! However, the oysters are a must stop if you're in the area! Restroom was clean and the patio had a nice view and ample seating. Received our food quickly and got 2 lattes as we started our trek back down the 1! Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
This is a review for both their restaurant area which I went to last year and the cafe today ---- I loved the artichoke tacos. Not some thing I would think of ordering as it's not a usual thing on the menu, but the artichoke was deep-fried and the tacos were full of vegetables, so it was the best of both worlds. The two others in my party got the chicken tenders and the corn dogs with french fries. They thought it was a good value considering it's so expensive eating out these days. We were offered all kinds of condiments. We got there early and the window was open so we stood waiting until the worker told us that they don't open until 11:30 AM. Went to the Cafe next-door for coffee and a cinnamon bun Meanwhile. Once we could place our order we were able to pay with Apple Pay and got a buzzer. When the food was ready, we went to the other side of the little building to pick up our food. We sat on the upper patio with the dogs. They were trash cans, indicating where to put which kind of trash. Did not see any canned for regular trash that we had with us. They only serve recyclable and compostable trash, which is great. There is a restroom on the side of the building. The parking was easy at the end of the lot at the time we arrived, 11 AM on a Monday, but it was filling up as we sat at the restaurant. ---- Went to the cafe side for coffee and breakfast burritos. They have decaf espresso and my husband enjoyed his regular coffee. We both liked the bacon better than the veggie burrito and appreciated the hot sauce. WiFi password is on the board. There are some stairs that go to an outdoor seating area and there are two tables in the very front, but it was raining today so we sat inside next to the fireplace place.

Yelp
This cafe checks all the boxes: View? Amazing! Breakfast sandwich? Delicious! Iced coffee? Nice! But the chocolate chip cookie stole the damn show. Wowowoowowow!! My husband loved the almond butter cake but I didn't try it cause I didn't want to share my cookie. Super friendly lady at the register. Great decision!

Yelp
Nothing special for the price. Ordered clam chowder and basket of fish and shrimps was too oily and oily potatoes.

Yelp
I had the prawns & chips and those prawns were some of the meatiest I have ever eaten! Fish & chips were great, and the calamari excellent, especially with their chili sauce!! The service was A-1, the gentleman was very nice bringing out our food! We were pleasantly surprised! ‍

Yelp
We heard this place has some great clam chowder. Um, not even close. I would say this is probably the worst clam chowder I have ever had. If you even want to call it chowder. I looked on the yelp reviews right after and someone by the name of Marc. J posted a vid of the "chowder" he received 5 years ago. That is exactly how mine came. Rediculous to charge $8.95 for this.

Yelp
The location is really nice & set up perfect - I ordered the BBQ oyster which was mediocre - smelled less then fresh even through the tasteless sauce - & let's be real -Gorgonzola can cover up any flavor (?) My artichoke taco tho - was so disappointing. Literally no heart & very little distinguishable plant at all- mostly greasy fried breading - Also the fish tacos -grouper?- no flavor - really lacking & needed any kind of spice to make it enjoyable Many places to improve ! !

Yelp
Love this place and always go when we're in Bodega Bay. Nice folks, great pastries, and great coffee. They have a great, west facing viewing deck and other more secluded tables with a nice view of the bay. Great place for a winter sunset while enjoying a late afternoon coffee. Go and enjoy it all!
