The Biscuit Factory

Parking is extremely difficult. On my visit I came with a lad in a wheelchair and two cars (neither had blue badges) were parked across where the disability bay is situated. There were no alternative spaces nearby. Once inside though the Biscuit Factory is a delight of exhibits by local artists. It's a lovely building to wander around. The cafe has a diverse menu and all our ordered meals were lovely. 5 stars for the gallery and cafe but a star off for parking

Very very artsy place. Definitely a place to visit to get your creative juices flowing! Art pieces all came with a pretty crazy price tag so for the rich artsy peeps why spend £500 on a balenciaga when you can get an exotic looking vase! Btw i love the animal pieces that were made using different materials to give cool textures

Lovely place to go for some nice arts as well as food. I had Imam Bayeldi which was their special that day and it was gorgeous, very tasty and full of flavour. Staff were friendly too. Then looking at some arts which I think are work of local artist and they are lovely and very interesting.

Lovely gallery and shop space with a cafe. Stopped in for just under an hour. Didn't visit the cafe this time as came early in the day and not long had breakfast, but enjoyed viewing the books and artwork, as well as checking the upcoming events. Parked a short walk from the location thinking we wouldn't get parked, but there was some spaces left.

My favourite art gallery in Newcastle. I liked how you could see the prices of every item. There are so many different kinds of exhibits. The style of the building is nice-it really makes it stand out. There's a good cafe within the art gallery as well.

I love this place. I went to an opening night. The staff are so lovely. They served complementary canapés and drinks. Very nice. The galleries are spacious and bright and display the perfectly. The art is a real mixture, of a very high quality. They use the Own Art scheme so art is very affordable. The cafe serves great food. This is a gem in Newcastle.

I love photographing weddings at The Biscuit Factory! It’s such a cool, creative venue with so much character. The exposed brick, modern art, and industrial vibe make for such a unique backdrop for photos—there’s never a dull moment or space! The space has such a relaxed, laid-back feel, and it’s perfect for couples who want something a little different. If you’re after a wedding venue that is different and has a creative edge, The Biscuit Factory is an absolute gem!

It was not what I had expected going in, but I was pleasantly surprised! The Biscuit Factory is set up like an art gallery where all the pieces are for purchase. On the outside, it looks rather small but once you are inside, the rooms actually extend really far back and it is a lot bigger than you'd expect on both floors. One of my favorite things about this gallery is that most (if not all?) pieces here are made by local artists and a lot of the pieces they had were all tied to a Newcastle theme which is one of the reasons why I am very drawn to this gallery! The Biscuit Factory features so many unique pieces that you just aren't able to see in any musem or gallery.

As previously stated a sales gallery but with pressure to purchase anything with the staff happy just top discuss items with you. A lovely little cafe on the first floor to finish the trip off.

Although this is predominantly a sales type gallery the staff fully accept and encourage gentle wandering round. Free entryWe have been 4 times or so and bought once. It is a great gallery with a good mix of paintings (local and international artists) and sculpture. The Brasserie next door is very good too. Prob best to drive too than walk

Free to get in to the biscuit factory is a nice place to spend a bit of time.Whether you are wanting to purchase or just browse you'll probably find something worth looking at. Based in a converted biscuit factory as the name suggests,it's a lovely setting for the paintings and other exibits on offer.The prices vary and are set and don't seem to be negotiable though. It's open everyday.10-8 Tues through to Sat. and 11-5 Sun and Mon. You can visit the restaurant if your'e hungry and fancy a meal or there is the cafe for that coffee and cake. Worth a visit.A nice little place.

The Biscuit Factory is an amazing hidden gem at the ouseburn valley open from 10 - 8 Tues - Sat and 11-5 Sun - Mon. Two Floors of Exhibition space and two floors of Artist Studios you can als buy paintings, sculptures and pottery and best of all its FREE!! All of the works are original and some by local artists. The current restaurant is Brasserie Black Door at The Biscuit Factory and there is also the Byker Vista Cafe open from 10 - 5 Tuesday to Saturday and 11 - 5 Sunday and Monday.

Wide range of art for sale (prints, oils, sculpture, and some jewellery) but no pressure to buy. The views from the cafe upstairs across to the Byker Wall are excellent, and the food served downstairs is very good.

The Biscuit Factory is a converted (you guessed it) biscuit factory, which provides a light, bright art space inside. This is a commercial gallery, and is privately owned. It is free to enter and all the works are for sale. They have a variety of pieces at any one time including canvas, sculpture, glass and jewellery. The prices appear to be set my the artist rather than the gallery, as often one artists work seems very reasonable, while another's is extortionately expensive. There is also a lovely restaurant attached, which seems to change hands quite frequently. The gallery stays open late so you can browse after your evening meal.

Went to a fantastic exhibition here on Saturday about printing. As an illustrator I can't help get excited by prints with an illustrative quality, was very impressed by the quality and wanted to go home and print some new designs myself. My favourite gallery!

The Biscuit Factory may be slightly out of the main centre of Newcastle but is well worth a visit. The gallery has a wide range of art and sculptures, many of which are available to purchase. There is also an onsite café upstairs and easy access for the disabled. Parking is also available.
