Wow! Wow! Wow! This was definitely the best meal we had in Bryson City. Our dining experience included meatloaf and trout. Though that sounds kind of bland, if you look at the photos, you’ll see why it was so impressive. The flavors were incredible. The trout was done to perfection and the open range meatloaf was exotic and delicious. The service was very professional and friendly.

Google
Meatloaf was good but I would prefer the tomato based topping to be less since it masked the delicious mixtures of meat based ingredients which is the star of the dish. The flavor of the green beans on the side was excellent. The bread was delicious served with a garlic butter. Nice cocktails and good service. The atmosphere is wonderful and cozy. You must make a reservation several days in advance since they mostly cater to their hotel guests. This is undoubtedly the best upscale food in Bryson.

My husband and I are visiting and were told by a friend to check out the bistro at the Everett hotel. The owner Ron was so accommodating and made sure we got a reservation before we left town. So glad we got the chance to eat here. Such a beautiful place with great service and the food was amazing! We both had the trout which was lightly battered and perfectly cooked. Everything served along side the trout paired so well with each other! The drinks were great as well, We had the old redeemer and a Basil Hayden manhattan. My husband said he would eat here every night of our stay!

This is our favorite restaurant and my husband and I have been coming since we started dating. We have driven 3 hours there and back from atlanta just for dinner and even had our post-engagement dinner there after he proposed in the national park! We’ve since gotten married and have a baby on the way and keep making our yearly trip to Everett! The longevity of the staff is a testament to how great this restaurant is! We see the same faces year after year and they have started to remember us too. We truly love it and my husband is obsessed with the meatloaf and the former-brownie ala mode. I am obsessed with the crab cake—when they have it, and the white chocolate bread pudding. It is quite literally my favorite dessert on this planet. We came tonight and were devastated to see that they changed the bread pudding recipe—the texture was completely different, larger, more dense and bread-y and less custardy and the signature crunch on top was gone 😭 I’m really sad. I really hope they will hear my feedback and go back to the original recipe. It was truly special and they didn’t need to change a thing. There was nothing like it!! This pregnant lady is very sad but I’ll be hopeful that next year when we make a our yearly trip, it will be back. Always 5 stars, no matter what. We do love it there! 💕

Google
One of the best meals my husband and I have ever had. He has the trout and I had the risotto with filet! First off- I have an allergy to dairy and gluten and they were able to accommodate AND make delicious food!!! They even had a dairy free and gluten free dessert! The service was outstanding and the vibe is very relaxed and casual. Beautiful historic building. This restaurant is a must when visiting the area!!!

Birthday Dinner! Dessert of your choice on them. Thank you! Excellent all around. Starting with the staff. Friendly, personable, and professional. Meatloaf. Champagne Chicken delish. Blackberry Cobbler. Wow. All food choices … yum. Classy and delicious. You won’t be disappointed one bite!

Yelp
My husband took me to this popular restaurant for a dinner reservation. Ambiance: The folks were so nice and hospitable! The ambiance was very cozy and relaxing. Food: For dinner, we had 3 orders of lobster bisque, the dates wrapped in bacon. Everything was O-M-G delicious!! The food was extremely fresh, and the portions were a decent size and great presentation. Price point wasn't bad for the quality of food. Service: Service was top notch! I highly recommend this place, and hope to be back again! Our waitress took the time to assist my husband with planning a birthday cake surprise. Everyone was so kind and genuine! We totally felt loved and welcomed! 10/10 would recommend this place!

Jadon M.

Yelp
Best meat loaf I EVER had!! All the food was great and our server did a great job!! Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
Always on the top of our list in Bryson City. The owner is great, bartender makes wonderful drinks, and the food is always excellent! See you again next year!

Yelp
We were lucky enough to snatch a non-guest reservation slot (call one week before hand) and I am so glad we did. The food was delicious - we ordered a range of dishes - including a hot dog and fries off the kids menu for our 7 year old - and every bite was delicious. It is a small dining room, with a warm ambiance, lovely bar, espresso machine, and somehow it all works to create a great dinner atmosphere. Service was consistent but not hurried and all in all a perfect dinner choice on a cold December night.

Peter C.

Yelp
Amazing experience. Scrumptious food and great service! The trout was fantastic. Not a skinny little filet, but a nice thick piece of fish that was thoughtfully prepared. Great cocktails too! And desserts to die for!

Maria R.

Yelp
Service was phenomenal and food was outstanding. We enjoyed the trout plate with a delicious side of grits, meatloaf, and ended our meal with a chocolate brownie (shown in the picture). They were kind enough to grab us last minute reservation, recommend making them at least a few days in advance.

Gail C.

Yelp
This place is expensive, so plan on paying at least 75.00 per person. It's a splurge and it is worth it. The crafted drinks were perfection, as well as the food. The creme brulle was worth the extra 5 pounds i am sure i gained. Most importantly, the service was top notched. Attentive, kind and knowledgeable. Will we be back? Of course.

Erica M.

Yelp
We had a lovely dinner. The staff was amazing. The trout cakes and homemade bread stood out as well as the bread pudding and blackberry cobbler.

Jenn J.

Yelp
It's a nice atmosphere and we were honestly expecting to be blown away by the food, but it was just ok. I ordered the trout. First, it was a tiny portion for the amount you pay and it was super under seasoned. The Hubs ordered the meatloaf (he loves meatloaf) and when he was done he looked at me and said 'Yours is way better'. He said it was so smooth it was almost like a pâté and again, under seasoned. For a starter I ordered the lobster bisque, which was honestly my favorite part of the meal. The hubs got a salad and it was huge - he said it was fine. I ordered the spicy marg, which was small (I don't love when it's a skinny glass and 3/4 is ice), but tasty. For dessert, since we were on vacay, we ordered both the cobbler (peach) & the bread pudding. Again, both were ok, but not outstanding, they needed more sugar & cinnamon in both. Overall we both left feeling a bit disappointed with the $130 meal and wouldn't return.

Yelp
We were in town to stay at the Sky Ridge Yurts (review separately) I had called over a month ago to try and make a reservation. I left a voicemail but was not called back (not good first impression!) but they are upfront that they primarily cater to their hotel guests (rightfully so). We had decided to have early dinner in town before driving up to our yurt (good move)! We popped into the Everett Hotel around 4:45pm, were warmly greeted! We asked about dinner, they had table available but were told there was reservation for that table at 6:45 (no problem!). The hotel is in an old bank and is very cool! The dining room/bar area is cozy with nice decor. The bartender (Eddie) waited on us and is fantastic! The menu is small but well thought out! Eddie pointed out a couple of his favorites (trout and meatloaf, which we did order). Eddie made me an amazing dirty ice cold martini! My wife got a bottle of nice wine ( since we were able to take leftover wine with us). We got the delicious bacon wrapped, blue cheese stuffed dates that had honey drizzle over them for appetizer! All the food and drinks were great, evidently during a restroom visit my wife told Eddie it was my birthday so dinner was capped off with a delicious bread pudding with birthday candle. Eddie politely reminded us around 6:30 that the table was needed at 6:45, I was still drinking my birthday dessert delicious espresso martini, my wife her wine. We settled our bill and Eddie escorted us to their really cool roof top area to finish our drinks, the roof top was so cool with fire pit and views. A great experience with wonderful food and great, great service (thank you, Eddie!). We will try and return and stay at hotel!

Mei O.

Yelp
My friend and I were able to get a spot at the bar for dinner, and Eddie (?) the bartender was awesome. He took great care of us and we enjoyed our experience so much we came back again a second night. I tried the harvestini & thyme traveler for cocktails, both were delicious. For food, we split the caesar salad and herbed chèvre, which we devoured pretty quickly. I really enjoyed my crab cake as well, and my friend enjoyed her trout. The next night she got the filet mignon, and it paired really well with the goat cheese. Must visit if you're coming to Bryson city, make sure to call ahead to get a reservation, the dining room is tiny and guests at the hotel have priority seating.

Mark M.

Yelp
Reviews suggested this was one of the nicer places to eat in Bryson City, NC, but also that you need to make reservation a whole week in advance if you're not staying at the Everett Hotel. We did and we're glad we did. Service was great and the food was good, although my wife's filet, requested at medium well, came out too rare. I asked why she didn't send it back and she said she couldn't immediately confirm the lack of doneness because of the sauce poured into the steak. I had the three-meat variety meatloaf and it was okay. What we liked the best was the dining room. Beautiful wood!

Melanie F.

Yelp
there are no words to describe how delicious this food was. we came here and saw all the amazing reviews and still underestimated it. it exceeded it all. 10000/10. best steak we've had ever. and we've been a lot of places. you will not be disappointed

Carrie S.

Yelp
We were very lucky to snag a reservation a week before our arrival. Our group of 6 pretty much tried out the main and dessert menus. We loved the atmosphere of this unique restaurant and EVERYTHING we ate was great! Our waiter, Garrett, did an amazing job, too. I would highly recommend this small and quaint restaurant. Can't wait to return and eat here again.

Alison C.

Yelp
We came for the food but were disappointed. Trout and meatloaf were recommended as house specialties yet both were under seasoned. The kitchen's response was that it was as intended and they don't tend to over-season their food. Hmmm. I now see that other reviewers told them the same thing, which makes the kitchen's response even more disappointing. Management was very accommodating and comped us a yummy crème brûlée dessert but that didn't make up for a frustrating evening. On the positive side, ambiance was good, I enjoyed my jalapeño margarita and the server was friendly.

Austin H.

Yelp
I want to start by commending this place on their service. They have the best customer service here. The servers were so on top of it and very friendly the entire time. I'd come back simply for that alone. I was, however, a little disappointed in my dish. I got the huevos rancheros. First, the eggs on there were hard fried. I mean very hard fried. They forgot my la crema. I didn't even know it was supposed to come with it until my wife remarked how good it was on hers but when I talked about the chorizo being tasty we realized they forgot the chorizo on hers! They brought us out a side of la crema and more chorizo. Then the avocado was not good. No oil or fat content to it. Maybe it was that avocado because even though my wife's was like that as well, she got a side of avocado and that one was good. I also felt the tiny ramekin of salsa was not enough for me. It needed more. I could nitpick other things about the dish but these were the main reasons I didn't love it. We did end up getting a Nutella crepe for dessert with bananas and it was awesome! They did do a great job on that.

Helena L.

Yelp
Get the trout cakes - they are amazing! We got the meatloaf and the prime ribs which were also both so delicious

Jay S.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our dinner. Garrett made our experience really nice. We'd had a late lunch so we skipped an appetizer but both had the trout and it was excellent. The Empressive G&T and Maple Cedar Manhattan specialty drinks were also delicious.

John a.

Yelp
A quaint hotel and restaurant. Sat at the bar and the mixologist knew his drinks and history. Lobster Bisque was decadent. Caesar Salad had house made dressing and a meal by itself. Lastly, the meatloaf was amazing. 3 types of meat, bacon wrapped and one of a kind. Highly recommend

Toni F.

Yelp
Amazing food & cocktails! Everything was perfect! Perfectly prepared trout, filet & dont forget dessert !!

Lisa G.

Yelp
LOVED!!! the food was spectacular. my family has many allergies, and they were so accommodating. Delicious food for dinner and also for breakfast. every aspect of the bistro was wonderful and delicious. the bed and breakfast was so cozy . we will be returning one day in the future and would recommend this to everyone.

Glenda L.

Yelp
Took train ride and had reservations at the Bistro in the Everett hotel. The dining room was beautiful.Cameron waited on us. He was fantastic. My husband had the meat loaf, was so tasty. I ordered the ginger carrot soup and the shrimp and grits. Both were wonderful. There were fresh roses at our table. Cameron brought our food and drinks on a napkin covered tray. What a wonderful dining experience. A gem in a small town. Would definitely cross the Smokies again just to dine at the Bistro. Thank you all staff!

Steven T.

Yelp
Wouldn't take a table of one, even at the bar. Said I had to wait for 3 hours. Um nope!

Leslie H.

Yelp
Amazing!! The food tasted delicious and had unique flavors! We started the meal off with the bacon wrapped dates and the curry soup. I had the shrimp and grits and my husband had the cornbread battered trout. It was by far the best shrimp and grits I've ever had- the sauce was perfect! We finished the meal off with white chocolate bread pudding! Fantastic from start to finish!!

Cory W.

Yelp
You MUST come to this place! It has everything a great restaurant needs in my opinion. Super friendly staff and amazing fresh food with a menu that is constantly being improved. I really love the quaint atmosphere and just the town of Bryson City in general has a very special vibe to it. I make sure to come here every time I visit Cherokee (3x's a year) and it's always one of the highlights of my trip. You're welcome in advance ;) *today at brunch I ordered the the Smokey Mountain Benedict and it did not disappoint!! Perfect textures and max flavor. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! *came back the following day for dinner and got the mountain trout...YUMMMM!!

Rob M.

Yelp
This was our first time back since this was called the Cork and Bean. The menu is very limited, do wish they would expand it just a little bit. It is a bit pricey too, a burger is $20. I opted for the burger and ordered it medium, and it came out well and very very dry. I had to send it back for another. By the time my food came back, my wife was done eating. The second burger was cooked perfectly though and was very good. We then had the White Chocolate bread pudding for dessert, and it was EXCEPTIONAL!!! The service was excellent too, our waitress was extremely nice!

Christy C.

Yelp
For my birthday I wanted to do something a little more active besides hanging out at the breweries and bars in Charlotte. I ended up finding a cute bed and breakfast in Bryson City that is a perfect location for lots of hiking and outdoor activities. The owners of the bed and breakfast recommended reservations at Cork and Bean. I made them about 1.5 months in advance. I would give this place 4.5 stars but that isn't an option on Yelp so I rounded up. We were seated promptly upon check in which is always a plus with reservations. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and the town. We asked for hiking recommendations and she gave us a couple that we are going to try on our second day! I was torn between wine choices so she brought samples, which easily led me to order a bottle. I can blame it on that right??? For dinner I orders a special that wasn't on the menu. It was scallops in cheese grits with greens. The hubs ordered the low country noodle bowl. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't bread or appetizer brought out to snack on (usually upscale restaurants bring something out before your meal if it doesn't come with a salad). BUT....Our food was brought out surprisingly fast, so maybe they don't require the bread? The scallop dish was absolutely amazing but a small portion. 4 scallops to be exact. I devoured it really fast and was hungry for more. My husbands noodle bowl was a large portion and was perfectly seasoned and delicious. We like that they used egg noodles for dish, it was unique and tasty. The waitress brought out a cute whipped cream dish with a candle for my birthday, which was a nice touch! This was very thoughtful and concluded our dinner with impeccable service. We had two entrees and a bottle of wine for a little over $100 including tip, to give you an idea of costs. Bryson city is a really cute place! We want to come back.

Wendy B.

Yelp
My date and I came here when we were visiting from California, the service, food and ambience was amazing. I had the fillet and my date had the pan seared trout followed by an espresso martini and Harvestini alcoholic drinks along with the maple crème brûlée and white chocolate bread pudding for dessert. Which was so goo, I forget to take pictures of, lol.

Rob P.

Yelp
An amazing dining spot located in Bryson City, NC. The waiter was great as was the entire staff. I had the crab cake topped with smoked salmon and it was delicious. Appetizers are just as delicious. Deserts are irresistible. stop at the Bistro and enjoy an outstanding meal while in Bryson City.

Faria I.

Yelp
This review is for dessert only although I have been here for dinner in the past and it was amazing! We had just had a very disappointing winter at another restaurant up the street and decided to come here for dessert. We had the toasted almond ball again and also tried the fresh strawberry cheesecake. The almond ball is a humongous ball of vanilla ice cream covered in toasted almonds and drizzled with chocolate sauce. It is AMAZING! The strawberry cheesecake was dark, not reddish pink but tasted great! Would highly recommend both these desserts!

Kate S.

Yelp
We came in on Monday night and got seated right away. The environment is cozy and intimate, and they were playing alternative rock which feels like a luxury in the south. Our waiter, Jesse was kind and attentive without being overly-so. He checked on us and refilled our drinks but didn't hover, which we really appreciated. He also gave us an awesome hiking recommendation since we were from out of town. The food was also exemplary. We both got the black and bleu cheeseburger which was juicy and flavorful. They had plenty of gluten free options and Jesse was really knowledgeable about the menu and what's gluten free. We also got dessert, creme brûlée (as pictured), which was incredible as well. Not only was the food some of the best we've ever experienced, but the service was also truly amazing.

Joanna D.

Yelp
This was one of the best dining experiences that we've had in a long time or maybe ever. We walked in on a Sunday night without reservations after a day of whitewater rafting and sat at the bar and were served by Eddie. His service and recommendations were amazing, but his drinks were even better! He is a true mixologist. I tried three different cocktails and so did my husband and we loved them all. They were the best drinks we've had at any restaurant and we fully discussed on our way home. We were so blown away by the meal, the drinks, the service and the experience. We really enjoyed talking with Eddie during our time at the bar. Highly recommend if you're looking for an experience and/or an amazing meal.

John S.

Yelp
Had another wonderful meal at The Cork & Bean Bistro. This time for lunch. I started off with a hardy bowl of lobster bisque. It was delicious, thick, creamy, and the generous portion was nearly a meal in itself. We tried two crepes. A chicken pesto, and a turkey with chipotle sour cream and salsa. Both were distinctive and enjoyable. I especially like that the salsa adds a bit of heat to the crepe that balances with the chipotle sour cream. This added dimension makes for a savory flavor instead of the too often heat for the sake of heat.

Komiko T.

Yelp
We enjoyed a lovely dinner with friends who live locally. What a great experience! I want to begin by saying the host and our waiter (Eason) were exceptional at making us feel welcome. The restaurant is cozy, but is located in a great area in the middle of town where you can enjoy the Christmas spirit. I also appreciated the tables were nicely spaced away from each other, so we didn't feel like we were sitting on top of the other guests. The food was impeccable. I was happy with the choices on the menu and Eason advised us of the additional specials of the day which provided variety. The ambiance is relaxed which allowed us to enjoy the night as we were.

Abbigail M.

Yelp
This place was AMAZING! The service was EXCELLENT! I got the Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon and it was probably one of the best steaks I've ever had! The cocktails were fresh and our waitress made great wine recommendations. The dining room is small so I would definitely recommend making a reservation. This is a true gem!!

Laquita T.

Yelp
The hospitality at the Everett Hotel is phenomenal! The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean with upscale toiletries and comfortable beds. The rooftop deck fireplace provides a much needed cozy retreat after a long day. If you're looking for a great dinner, the food at the Bistro won't disappoint! Even the breakfast is outstanding every day! This hotel is a true gem in Bryson city!

Bob W.

Yelp
Another unexpectedly great find in Bryson City. It is a quite small place with a limited number of tables...but a great reputation in the local market. The menu was short with only 4 entrees and one special...but I must say that I agree with doing fewer things well. The staff was excellent...friendly and professional. The food was just outstanding...the crusted North Carolina mountain trout was perfect and one of our group thoroughly enjoyed the house specialty meatloaf. A less than impressive wine list and service that was just a little too fast could be overlooked in the context of the quality of the food and the charm of the ambience.

Jessica D.

Yelp
We had the bacon wrapped dates, trout, and meatloaf. Everything was wonderful! Very nice restaurant.

Glenn S.

Yelp
Horrendous service. More than 1 hour before closing on a Thursday night (11/4/21), hostess started to seat me after asking if I preferred inside or outside, put a menu on my table, but then disappeared and came back shortly later and told me they don't have enough staff to serve me. There were so few people in the restaurant that I suspect the server complained about getting a one top when everyone else was finishing and he or she might be able to go home early. I get better service at the BMV. Who would want to eat here, yet alone stay here?

Gregory H.

Yelp
Out and about with my bride, well... road trip is more like it, and I asked my cousin (whom I had never met, yet) where to stop for lunch, and she said "Cork and Bean". Great choice!!! It was a Saturday, so the place was open for brunch. Many many good choices on the menu. I settled for something that was part breakfast, part dinner... poached eggs over salmon with asparagus and home fries. I think they called it a smokey mountain benedict. The coffee was much better than what I had at the hotel. Service was near perfect, very friendly and personable. The manager stopped by to make sure we were well taken care of and the food was as expected. It is unlikely we will get back out to Bryson City again, but one never knows. If we do, we know where to stop for a good meal!

Sharon N.

Yelp
Stopped in for dinner on a Tuesday early evening. I had the crab dip and a half of a spinach salad both were very good. The service was fantastic. The place is very very small so I would try to get there early to get a seat.

Hannah G.

Yelp
We do an annual dinner here with our friends during a car event in Fontana. It is well worth the drive. We always end up getting there later than we mean to and the staff is so pleasant about it. They are friendly and the food is delicious.

Priya L.

Yelp
Excellent. From the service we received to the food itself, our experience at the Bistro was top notch. So much so that we dined at the restaurant both nights that we were in Bryson City. :) Both nights, our waiter and waitress (respectively) were delightful. They were attentive without being overbearing, and were friendly without being over-familiar. Their sweet demeanors added to the charm of the place. As for the food, I don't know how often their menu changes, so some of this may not apply. We tried the goat cheese with fig jam appetizer - it was okay. What would have been better is if the goat cheese was soft. Having a solid log of goat cheese that we had to chip away wasn't great. The taste was great, though. My husband had the trout for dinner, and I had the crab cake. Both we amazing. The second night, we had the dates with blue cheese - wow. Just wow. We then had the noodle dish (it was rice noodles in a broth) and an eggplant dish. I loved the spaghetti squash that came with the eggplant - very flavorful and cooked perfectly. Both dishes were good, but the previous night's dinners were better. Both nights we had the dark chocolate crepe with bananas - excellent both nights. Whatever chocolate they use at the restaurant is high quality and not bitter. We look forward to going back to the Bistro during our next visit.

Lisa N.

Yelp
Lovely setting for special dinner on vacation. Trout cakes came with small salad and could have been a small meal. Vegetarian bowl was outstanding! Maple cedar Manhattan tasty. Trout entree underwhelmed but with everything else we were pleased. Service was smooth and friendly. Wish we lived closer to eat here more often.

Rachel M.

Yelp
Wow this place is a must. Make your reservations because tables go quickly. I have not had a meal that was not amazing here. To start with the wait staff is so kind. For apps I highly recommend the bacon wrapped dates. For entrees and of the crepes are good, the meatloaf, the filet, the crab cake are all amazing. I mean cooked to perfection, with nothing ever sent back. Make sure to save room for dessert because their Nutella crepe is so savory.

Lianne S.

Yelp
Stopped here for dinner while we were in town and it was excellent. They have a big dining room and separate bistro type area. Lots of seating! I had the crepe special which was chicken pesto...Moist and delicious chicken breast chunks. Pesto was really good and the crepe was good too. It was a really large portion. Others at the table had the trout cakes and chili... Everything looked and tasted amazing. They have a full bar and lots of nice mixed drinks. There have several prosecco drinks and I tried the hibiscus one and it was great. Service was quick and bubbly with good recommendations. Parking lot in the back had lots of spots. Good spot for a nicer dinner out while in Bryson City!

Hitch S.

Yelp
This isn't a meal, it's an event. Unmatched service and food to die for. Impeccable dining, and to be honest, a little surprising they aren't in Asheville. Bryson City (no disrespect intended) really doesn't deserve such fine dining. It's that good. Note... if you want the best bourbon cocktail that you ever tasted, try the Maple Cedar Manhattan. OMG. Unfrickin' real. My wife's Margarita was the best either one of us ever tried. It's called the Jalapeño Margarita. It's quite literally sex in a glass. I love this place. If you want to fill your gullet, go to another place; if you want your dinner to be an experience that adds to your vacation, then come here. LOVE THIS PLACE!

David S.

Yelp
Stopped on a day long bike trip through the smokies. Pricey place, and reservations for a Tuesday? Must be good. Beers are local. Ingredients very fresh. Quite tasty. Would stop again. Plan on $25 a person.

Tiffany C.

Yelp
The salmon Benedict was so so good! The hollandaise was perfect and so was the mimosa
