I recently had an excellent experience at the Bistro, located within the stunning Edgewood Resort. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed, and we were lucky enough to secure a table right by the window, offering a breathtaking view of the lake. The service was lovely, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere. We enjoyed a delicious brunch, and after our meal, we took our drinks to the lobby, where a magnificent, large Christmas tree created a festive ambiance. Afterward, we strolled along the beach, which was a perfect way to cap off our visit. Plus, the valet parking is complimentary, making the experience even better. I highly recommend visiting this place for a delightful dining experience!

We were vacationing at Lake Tahoe and decided to eat at the nearest restaurant. To be precise, it’s not a restaurant but a bistro located on the hotel premises. You need to book a table in advance if you plan to have dinner, as there are many people who want to dine there. The architecture is stunning. The waiters are wonderful, and valet parking is complimentary from the establishment. Of course, you can leave a tip. The waitstaff is friendly. The service is quick. We received our order very quickly. We ordered rib-eye steak and gnocchi. We ate and then happily went for a walk along Lake Tahoe, as they have a walking area. I highly recommend it for any occasion. We enjoyed it.

We recently dined at The Bistro, and I have to say that the highlight of our afternoon was Neil, the bartender! From the moment we sat down, Neil was incredibly personable and welcoming. He took the time to chat with us, making us feel right at home. His knowledge of cocktails (beyond the cocktail menu) and his recommendations were spot-on! Neil’s friendly demeanor made the entire experience unforgettable. He crafted some of the best drinks we’ve had in a long time, and his attention to detail was impressive. You can tell he takes pride in his work, and it truly shows in the quality of his cocktails. If you’re ever at Bistro, do yourself a favor and sit at the bar. Neil will make sure you have an outstanding time! Thank you Neil, for making our experience exceptional – we’ll definitely be back!!

Went here for Christmas Day Breakfast had no reservations, got seated quickly. Staff were very nice, food and coffee were excellent!

Google
Massively overpriced for the quality of the food and the service of the staff. It took over an hour for our party of four to receive our cheese appetizer. Ten minutes later two people received entree, followed by twenty minuets for the rest of the food to arrive. It was cold and tasteless. Clearly the staff was overwhelmed by the number of people at the resort, but this was not a good experience. Not worth going to.

2nd visit (07/12/2024) I visited The Bistro Edgewood for the second time, but this time, it was for dinner. They had a golf tournament going on thsi week so getting a reservation was a bit hard. The hotel/restaurant was packed. I want to say this is the most beautiful hotel/property in the Tahoe area with amazing views of the lake, elegant interior, and a private and secluded beach. We started our dinner with some drinks - Mai Tai and Himalayan Ruby. Mai Tai was fruity and tropical and well balanced. Himalayan Ruby included Ketel Grapefruit-Rose, Grapefruit Juice, Rosemary Syrup, Fresh Lemon, and Himalayan sea salt. It wasn't as strong as the Black Widow, and the overall flavor was mild. For our mains, we got - 1. Pan Seared Verlasso Salmon - it came with Beluga lentils, shaved fennel salad, citrus caper beurre blanc. The sauce was the highlight of the dish. It was creamy and tangy. The fish was cooked well. 2. Pan Seared Striped Bass - It came with roasted pepper sauce, marble potatoes, tomatoes, snap peas, and watercress. It was the least flavorful dish of all the mains we got. The cook on the fish was fine, but the sauce was very bland. 3. Prime Filet Mignon - It came with a grilled 7oz Filet, seared exotic marble potato hash, mushroom & eggplant caviar, and bordelaise drizzle. It was delicious. The meat was juicy and tender and cooked as requested. Overall, this restaurant is definitely a must visit if you are in the South Lake Tahoe area. Food, service, ambiance, views - everything about this place is amazing. ---------------------------- First visit- Bistro Edgewood, nestled within the luxurious Edgewood Tahoe Resort, offers a stunning dining experience with a few shortcomings. The location is unbeatable – picture gazing out at Lake Tahoe and the snow-capped mountains while enjoying a delicious meal. The upscale, chic, and modern interior bathes in sunlight, creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere that elevates your entire dining experience. The service at Bistro Edgewood is top-notch. The staff is attentive and friendly, and their professional demeanor reflects the high-end nature of the restaurant. Something to keep in mind is that valet parking is the only option; just pull up to the main entrance (porte-cochère), and the staff will take care of your car. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, with the option of enjoying the beautiful scenery on the heated outdoor patio. For my visit for morning breakfast, I opted for an iced chai, which wasn't listed on the menu. While I was initially apprehensive, I was pleasantly surprised by its quality. It delivered a good amount of chai flavor. However, the experience wasn't entirely flawless. My eggs Benedict came with undercooked and starchy potatoes, a bit of a letdown. On the other hand, the hollandaise sauce was a star – smooth, rich, buttery, and perfectly balanced with a touch of tanginess. The bread, however, proved a bit difficult to cut through. Overall, Bistro Edgewood offers a beautiful setting, excellent service, and generally good food. However, a few minor stumbles with the sides and bread keep it from a perfect five stars. Still, it's a great choice for a special occasion or a luxurious dining experience in South Lake Tahoe.

My dining experience at Bistro Edgewood was exceptional. The service was prompt and attentive, with our dishes arriving quickly and the staff promptly clearing away empty plates. We ventured outside of the ordinary, opting for unusual delicacies such as beef carpaccio and bone marrow, and we were pleasantly surprised by their outstanding taste. Overall, Bistro Edgewood provided a delightful dining experience with its excellent service and delectable not-so-ordinary menu options.

Ambience and the place were so nice. We prefer the outdoor dining as it feels more relax. Food was average. I think it’s not worth the price. But the place is okay over all :)

Yelp
amazing dinner spot i came to for my friend birthday dinner. we had a reservation and were put in a private room w our own restroom . highly recommend reserving ahead of time for that room if you are celebrating an event or with a bigger party. the server was wonderful as our waitress had great recommendations and advice for the tahoe area as well. we all ordered many dishes but ALL had left us full and satisfied. everything here was truly delicious and good quality. food. from the appetizers like beef carpaccio and mussels to clam chowder and the filet mignon and seafood parpadelle mains. we enjoyed it all and i would highly recommend checking this place out! they have complimentary valet, an amazing view of the lake, and amazing photo spots fyi

Yelp
A kind of strange experience. My attached photos show time stamps to accompany my story. I had many different fine dining options I was considering and ultimately chose Edgewood due to its reputation, yelp reviews, and my expectations due to the expense in general of this place. My picture marked 1712 was us entering the restaurant and being taken to our table. (Friendly greeting!) The picture at 1718 is the menu I am perusing for dinner, meaning our order hadn't been taken yet. (Bree our waitress gave great service as did her assistant refilling our water) the next photo was a screenshot of the video I took of our food after being delivered from the kitchen and me moving the plates and drinks around for what I like to think is a perfect shot) AT 1725. 1725. SEVEN MINUTES after our order was taken, put into the system, and delivered!!! Our drinks came out two minutes prior. Drinks were AMAZING. Mocktails Lavender lemonade and dragon fruit fauxito. I was literally SHOCKED when our food came out. I think my mouth dropped open. And is it weird to complain that it was so fast? But How did our food get cooked in that amount of time in a fine dining restaurant? I will note We were one of the only tables at that time (filled up around 6 as we were leaving). So, the food, the reason I came. I ordered salmon and they nicely replaced the side of rice with mashed potatoes. (Thank you!) Hubs ordered the short rib. Clearly short rib and mashed potatoes must already be cooked. Unfortunately they were lukewarm, but the taste was really good. My salmon, however, was super disappointing. I think there's a reason they cover it in "creole sauce" (which I chose to have on the side). Now I am VERY plain, but this salmon was tasteless. Salmon is my favorite and I don't know I've ever had a worse filet. It didn't taste bad or fishy it just was like I can't believe I just spent so much money on something that had no flavor. Like not even salt or pepper. This cost me 53$ and wasn't even worth 33$. I tasted the short rib which was better but again, lukewarm. And that was 58$. I know the restaurant isn't going to change their prices based off my review, and I have no problem paying for what's worth it, unfortunately this definitely was not, and I'm surprised given where I was. Very very confusing dining experience. Was this food precooked and warmed up? I dunno it was so strange and I don't think I'd be back to dine in the restaurant but I 100 percent would come to the bar for the same drinks and to try others!

Yelp
Came here for the Celebrity Golf Tournament. We came on the practice day to avoid some of the crowds. We spent most of the day at the Bistro. The drinks were amazing and the appetizers were just as good. The best part was the view. You cant beat the outdoor seating area overlooking the lake. The service was wonderful too.

Yelp
I ate a breakfast, lunch and a dinner here and all the food was wonderful. The Bistro is totally about the food, the quality, and secondarily, the ambiance. It seems that making a reservation is important, especially at busy times, for example weekends. The room is large and accommodating with a nice outdoor patio area, where I ate the lunch. The breakfast and dinner were indoors. Indoors, be aware of the seating. There are two basic types and the lower club chair types can be awkward in that they are too low for the table height. You'll feel like a child with your chin nearly at table height. A bit of an exaggeration, but it is awkward. The menu is quite good with broad selections, yet keep in mind that it can get pricey, but not outrageous. For breakfast I had the French Toast with a side of sausage and a coffee. The toast was delicious, light and well prepared, fluffy. It had berries on top and the maple syrup was high quality. The sausage were two large, plump pieces and a great accompaniment. It was quite a filling breakfast At lunch I had the grilled chicken sandwich which was perfect in every way. The bun was just right and the chicken super tender, and the entire sandwich was very tasty. I got it with fries, again very well prepared; and a side salad. It hit the spot in every way. Being in a bit of a rush the waiter was very understanding and accommodating, including bringing the bill early, when asked. Dinner was wonderful. I started with a half dozen raw oysters. A bit on the small side for my preference, yet good. It came with two small containers on the side for a red sauce or a clear onion one. It was difficult in there was no small spoon or utensil to scoop the sauce on to the oysters. I had the port chop for my entree and it was outstanding! Such a large piece of perfectly cooked pork, sliced beautifully, with a chutney type combo on top giving extra flavor. It got washed down with a very nice, robust Malbec. Finished the meal with a very nicely brewed coffee. The head wait staff are professional and very capable, and helpful in understanding the menu. The other staff, however, do need some extra training as they seem rather amateurish. The reception people seem unaware what to do, and others, like the person filling water glasses did so in a way that was so full it came to the brim, each and every time. This is definitely a top notch restaurant and well worth the visit, especially for the quality of the food.

Yelp
We visited the Bistro this past weekend to celebrate our early anniversary while we were in town. We came here for the view and it did not disappoint. We booked dinner just before sunset and sat outside. It was windy, but the staff offered me a blanket. They had a few heaters but they were all taken though towards the end of our dinner we spotted one available as a table left and asked for that which made the cooler evening comfortable. The patio faces the pool and beach beyond it watching the sunset over the lake made our evening perfect! For the food our server was so intuitive he recommended a tomahawk steak large enough for two which came with lobster mac and cheese and asparagus. We also added a starter salad. He warned us about the wait time on the steak but honestly it just gave us more time to take in the views and enjoy our salad. He was so professional and proactive, 5 star service. My husband had a whiskey cocktail which he loved and prices were very reasonable given the location. I got a delicious mocktail for about $10. Our food was spectacular, tasty, warm and well seasoned. It's not inexpensive but for the quality and location I think it's on par. We packaged up our tomahawk steak bone for our pup at home too and it's still her favorite souvenir! At the end of our meal our server brought out a small pastry with anniversary sign that was so thoughtful. I'd highly recommend this place for a nice night out or special occasion when in Tahoe, I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Made reservations for my 55th birthday. Had a drink at the bar while we waited for our outside table. Bar area was beautifully laid out with lots of nice options for seating. My wife and I sat on the couch near the fireplace. Staff was pleasant and super attentive. Had a great Manhattan with the clearest big ice cube I've ever seen. Need these ice cubes at home. Once our table was ready we followed the maitre'd outside. The weather was absolutely perfect and planned the reservation to be here as the sun set. Totally nailed that. Beautiful views in a beautiful setting. Waiter was friendly and talkative which I like. Food was, to us, fantastic. Was eavesdropping on the table next to us who were complaining about the presentation of their food? They were unhappy on how the food was plated. We didn't see any issue. Loved the food, location and service. Would like to come back for brunch or lunch sometime when we are up I South Lake Tahoe.

Yelp
I recently visited the bistro Edgewood when showing some out of town friends around the lake. It's a stunning restaurant with a beautiful view of the lake. It's a great place for lunch or drinks. They have a full bar with anything you could want and some creative cocktails. The food menu was also great. They have typical lunch items. I had a flatbread that was very good! It's a little pricy but not by Tahoe standards. I'd definitely go back if I'm in the area again.

Jennifer A.

Yelp
Exquisite dining & sumptuous scenery Looking for lakeside dining in South Lake Tahoe and I was not disappointed. I found a few tho on Yelp that weren't available and still was thrilled with lunch. The seasonal menu and impeccable service was matched by the epic views. 10/10 would DEFINITELY go back and stay at the stunning property. Picturesque cabins nestled in the woods with dining at the Lake. Sigh....

Philip W.

Yelp
Very nice view around the hotel area. Grabbed brunch here with friends, tried the avocado toast, cheeseburger, omelette, all were tasty

Thomas E M.

Yelp
....another great date out with my wife. On this date lunch we enjoyed great tasting food, including Muscles, Caesar Salad, the Burger, and salmon toastettes. I then finished off my meal with the Apple Pie. The food was enhanced by a window seat and a great view of the lake and please note that this view doesn't happen in the summer due to the patio seating they install between the Bistro and the pool. The service was flawless. We had clean silverware for each course, our water glass was never empty and all of our needs were met. All in all, my wife and I enjoyed a great lunch.

David K.

Yelp
Ambiance good. Service good. Bread service good. The problem was the entrees. I got the filet medium rare and my gf got the salmon. Both dishes were served cold. Taste was average at best.

Melissa N.

Yelp
Ambiance 10/10 looks very classy business casual is recommended. A little dim inside Service was definitely 10/10 our waiter had such a sweet sense of humor app peperoni bread: very yum. the tomato sauce was refreshing lomi lomi: it was good but a tad fishy. Also very light and refreshing Lamb plate, my friends said it was soooo good so I'll just go with their opinion. I did try a small bite, you don't need to chew, just super tender 9/10 Short rib plate, not very flavorful and the horseradish mash potatoes was not within our likings.Had some carrots that was sightly sweet almost caramelized, was very unique and that was probably part favorite part of this dish 5/10 Filet mignon plate: needed some salt and pepper but overall i liked my plate the best. Juicy, tender, and mash potato was delish. 10/10 Dessert Free bday: vanilla ice cream with a pastry filled with marmalade topped with a white chocolate happy birthday sign

Orlando Jr C.

Yelp
First time visiting this place. Overall a solid 10/10 for breakfast. Parking is valet only. But you can self park nearby lot and request a ride via golf cart. Me and my lady went here for the start of her birthday. We sat in the patio/outside area by the swimming pool. Very nice design and layout of the patio space. Throughly enjoyed the view and ambience. We started off with a couple mochas (hot) for our drinks, and then ordered a veggie omelet with potatoes and an avocado toast with poached egg and crab meat on top for our main breakfast. We also ordered a French toast to finish after our mains. Then to finish it all off - a tequila shot for the birthday.

J A.

Yelp
Pure rip off, all you have is a view, very tiny portions, like their small lamb chop entree as in plural is $65! You can do much better elsewhere

Tanya M.

Yelp
The service and ambiance of the place gets 5 stars all around! The restaurant and whole property is absolutely gorgeous. The service is phenomenal and they are so attentive. The food could have been a bit better. The potatoes were hard and tasteless and the chicken sausage tasted like it came out of a bag in the freezer. The hot chocolate was a bit bland and watery. The only saving grace was the buttermilk pancakes. That was delicious and had the perfect texture and taste. However, we would definitely come back and try other items. You can't beat the view, the service, the ambiance, and just the general overall feel when you walk into the Edgewood Resort.

Brooke W.

Yelp
Our party of 4 arrived 15 mins early for reservation but were still seated. Iced vanilla latte was perfect, good beans. Bloody Mary was perfect amt. of spicy. Pearl onion was a table joke because I've never had anything more pickled. I think it took the air out of my lungs. Had waitress bring me the jar, no indication of super powers on jar. Ordered 2 heuvos rancheros, biscuits and gravy, French toast, and the smoked salmon bagel. See pics. Food was all really good minus tiny bit of burn on the French toast. They had the food out quickly. Took a nice stroll after breakfast to the waters edge. Valet was quick. Always a win here.

Valerie A.

Yelp
We've been here a couple of times in the last month and decided we should upgrade to a five star. The service and ambiance has always been great but now the food matches. The short rib and the filet mignon were both incredible last night. But the dessert was next level. Lavender pavlova, with meringue, lemon sorbet and lavender sauce on it. And it's even vegan. So light and wonderful. Give yourself extra time to sit outside and soak up the view before or after your meal.

Ann H.

Yelp
I absolutely love the ambiance at the Bistro Edgewood. We visited for brunch. We elected for outdoor seating, which consisted of the view of the lake. There were heat lamps during the chilly weather. I ordered the Nashville fried chicken thighs with waffles. It came with a side of bacon. The chicken needed a little more seasoning. Other than that, I enjoyed my meal. The service was great as everyone was affable and welcoming. My server forgot the butter and syrup, which took her about about 10 minutes to return with these items. Overall, this was a good dinning experience.

Kaley N.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our dinner at the bistro last night. Started out with a Caesar salad to share (not pictured) which was crisp. Nothing truly spectacular, but just a very solid Caesar salad. For our apps, we split the muscles and the bone marrow . The bone marrow was OK but the muscles were out of this world. The sauce that they came in is truly one of the best sauces I've ever had. This is a MUST GET. Each of us got different dishes. Everyone seem to like theirs, but really liked my short rib. I'd recommend next time asking if there's an alternative base instead of the vegetable bean medley. I thought it was good, but the flavors of the base dish competed with the short rib too much. Next time I'd ask for something else to let the short rib shine more. We got the apple pie/crumble for dessert and that was so good. Highly recommend! I don't eat cheesecake but the people I went with said the cheesecake was not something that they'd get again. Overall, I think the atmosphere is great and our server was fantastic. I can't remember his name, but he was so good. I do feel like this place is a little overpriced for what you get.

Sheryl M.

Yelp
We met the GM of the Bistro, Stephen Canepa, in the hotel. Stephen was a true gem and so professional. We hit it off and realized we had the love for food and wine in common. We made dinner reservations at The Bistro, to celebrate a birthday. When we arrived, Stephen made sure that we were taken care of. We started with the ceviche, and a glass of wine Stephen recommended. It was the perfect match. We split the short ribs and a Caesar salad. Everything was spot on and the short ribs were so tender. I opted for the fries in place of mashed potatoes. David Spade happened to be eating there that night. He stopped at our table and mentioned my fries. I offered him a fry and he took one. I'm pretty sure he didn't eat it, but it was a fun moment. Our server, Doug, was knowledgeable and very professional as well. I would definitely return. Thank you Stephen.

Tiffany N.

Yelp
Get their Thai curry mussels. The waiter was right, best mussels we ever had. The short rib was soft and tender. The chicken was just alright. Wouldn't get it again. Overall loved the ambience and vibes and perfect for a special treat for date night. Also free valet parking at this hotel

Nicole R.

Yelp
Alicia, our morning server was just lovely. At the bar: Kenny, Heather, Jay were all fantastic even with the incredibly large influx of patrons over the the Thanksgiving weekend. We will be back for the views, people, and s'mores for sure. Thanks again!

Catrina H.

Yelp
Made a reservation specifying outdoor seating to celebrate my husband and I's anniversary. We waited over 30 minutes for a table, that had no view. We were very disappointed, but our server Matt was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The food was decent but the overall vibe was "off". When we asked for our food to be kept on the table while taking a photo of the sunset the busser removed all plates. So we came back to part of our dinner missing. Overall I would not recommend.

Abbie N.

Yelp
We were able to make reservations earlier in the day for Saturday at 7:45pm for 8 people. The service and staff was amazing. We started with Caesar salad and the fried cheese curds and potatoes. The salmon was cooked perfectly but I was curious as to why it's in a dashi stock, thought it was an interesting way to serve the dish. The tomahawk steak was huge, it served 3-4 people for us. Overall great atmosphere and food. I'd come back again

Nathalia V.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant inside our hotel. Breakfast was really yummy! The lobster soup has barely any lobster so I don't recommend. Apparently they just changed their menu and a lot of the things that were reviewed before are no longer available:( Our server was really nice But it is a good option if you are staying at the Edgewood hotel

Travis B.

Yelp
First time at the bistro last night for a birthday dinner. The menu was fantastic. I ordered the Niçoise salad with ahi tuna. Would definitely recommend. We brought wine with us. Corkage was $30 per bottle. We did an early dinner, but timed it perfectly with sunset. The view from the bistro over the lake was amazing. Our server, Matt, was fantastic. Everything came out perfect and Matt was a champ at putting up with us. He made our birthday celebration extra special. Ethan also assisted with making sure our waters were FULL! Per basically every employee at Edgewood the Mussels are the best menu item. We ordered that and it was also fantastic. Will definitely be back!

Emmry C.

Yelp
Ordered this twice during my stay and I was hoping that the first time I ordered that it was just an "accident" for giving me a tiny salmon. Turns out that I spent an extra $36 total on 2 of these salads by adding a "salmon fillet"... it wasn't even that food either. One salad (no protein) is $16 which is fine. Could buy a whole salmon at Costco for that price and have servings for days or a whole family. Also not sure what Caesar salad ever has tomatoes ?? Anyways, everything is super overpriced! And the food takes FOREVER to arrive - whether you're seated at the restaurant or in room dining. Our server was super nice the first time though.

Doris L.

Yelp
This is a high end luxury hotel with it's own gold course and 2 restaurants. We made a dinner reservation at 6pm at Bistro Edgewood. The interior looks amazing. We ordered Filet Mignon and the special of the day, Cioppino. The Cioppino is one of the best I had tasted. The Filet Mignon is tender. We ordered the Lobster bisque and beets salad as well. We also ordered desserts , the black and white Tuxedo and the Basque cheesecake. We enjoyed our dinner so much. Even though the dinner was expensive but it's worth the cost with the atmosphere and the sunset view. A must visit resort when you are in the South Lake Tahoe area

Daphné L.

Yelp
Bistro Edgewood in Stateline offers a classy dining experience with gorgeous Lake Tahoe views. It's perfect for a special night out or a relaxed meal with friends. The menu features creative dishes blending local flavors with modern twists, like fresh seafood and gourmet steaks. They have a great wine selection too. Service is attentive, making it a great spot for enjoying good food and stunning scenery in Stateline.

Trisha V.

Yelp
A beautiful bistro in a beautiful space. It was actively snowing which added the most amazing touch to our view. All the seats are within sight of the huge windows, so there is not one bad seat in the house! The staff was so attentive and had great suggestions, I felt really taken care of. They do complimentary valet if you're dining in! As for the food, they do breakfast so well and I was not disappointed at all. *Need to give a quick shout out to the buttermilk pancakes because those were to die for*. Will definitely be returning whenever I am back in Tahoe.

Chaz J.

Yelp
This place is fantastic. We went for an anniversary supper so our expectations were pretty high. This place surpassed them all. The food, view and service was above and beyond.

Rebecca L.

Yelp
A amazing place for a special occasion or celebration. The Edgewood bistro is located right off of the water on Lake Tahoe south shore. It offers incredible views of the lake and you are among the trees as you dine. The items are pricey. For a brunch of 4 people, with no alcohol, it cost close to $200. But since it was a special occasion, I thought it was well worth the price. The food was also delicious! After brunch we walked over to the lake and admired the views and natural beauty of Tahoe. This place can get packed and has a long wait, so I would recommend making a reservation in advanced. Great for intimate gatherings or large parties. Valet parking only, however it is complementary when dining or staying at the Edgewood.

Yelp
Unfortunately, it has been nearly a year since our last stay at Edgewood. Our first stay was just a week after they opened, and though it was nice then, it has only gotten better with each visit. I can say the same for The Bistro. We sat at bar for a light dinner. The service was excellent and our meal was superb. The entire establishment has truly upped their game over the last five years. Bravo

Yelp
Edgewood is an elegantly modern resort. The lakefront location is stunning. The food is mediocre at best, and I've dined on all day parts: lunch, dinner and brunch. I always over order to sample most of the menu + cocktails. My review covers a strong breadth of menu options. Don't expect even the most common dishes to meet basic palettes - a balsamic beet salad or classic breakfast. Wilted sad salad, cold potatoes and eggs. Shameful. Pork belly, ceviche...don't. Service: 50/50 depending on the waiter and how many guests decide to...eat during normal breakfast or dinner hours. I had the most terrible experience - making excuses for wrong orders, wrong bill. Included their large group 20% service fee and I disappointingly paid. Should not be considered fine dining. Or appetizing. Locals told me to go to Red Hut.

Yelp
Really accommodating, make sure to do reservations! Staffs were friendly and the hotel itself is picturesque. The hotel also had complimentary hot cocoa and photobooth at the day and time I came. Ambience and service is a 8 or 9/10. Food? Not so great. Scallop and Shrimp is 6/10 at best. Scallops and shrimp are cooked to perfection, but the seafood flavor crashes with the sweetness of the yam creating imbalance. Lambchops - my friend got this but according to her its 8/10. Filet Mignon - 2/10, the sides were burnt and its a nasty crusty feeling. Dont get me wrong, I usually love the burnt sides but this one just had a terrible taste to it. They got it off my bill but its still bad nevertheless. Beef carpaccio - nasttyyy. nah, this is just really bad I had 2 bites first just as is and second with the bread. didnt bother going for a third. overall 3/5 since the hotel is pretty nice

Yelp
Food: beautiful presentation and great tasting food!!! the Charcuterie Board was excellent, especially loved the fresh made fig & apricot jams; Burrata Salad was fresh and light; the Short Rib was to die for (slow braised beef short rib, horseradish mash potatoes, baby carrots, natural demi, crispy parsnip; Free-Range Chicken Cacciatore (roasted purple potatoes, cacciatore sauce, asparagus, carrot puree; Primavera (house made cavatelli pasta, cherry tomatoes, pesto sauce, seasonal vegetables medley, mozzarella cheese, micro vegetable) Service: great 5 star service; very attentive to refill drinks and take away plates Design: beautiful, contemporary, upscale chic lodge interior; part of a beautiful hotel Overall: if you want the ultimate modern chic lodge ambiance with both beautifully-presented and amazing tasting food as well, then this is the best place to go in all of Lake Tahoe

Yelp
We had a lovely evening at Edgewood! Made reservations at the bistro a day in advance. It is a valet parking only so the experience of luxury starts from the moment you arrive. We were seated promptly and the hostess was lovely. She chitchatted with our baby and gave her a Edgewood pen to distract her while another person brought the high chair so we were comfortably seated right away. Drinks and food were delicious and the portions were generous. Yes- it's is a $$$ restaurant and an entree ranges form $40-$60 but let me tell you they make it worth it! My lobster pasta dish had SO much lobster in it!! They have a kids menu and coloring sheets. The server was very attentive and asked if she could get our daughter's order in first and understood that kids have a hard time waiting and need food fast. Bonus: they have kids cups with lids! The view of the lake is amazing and we strolled over to the lakeside after dinner. See photos..

Yelp
A great dinner spot with great food options. In my opinion probably the nicest restaurant in all of SLT if you factor ambiance, food, and their service. It gets pricey but if you're looking for a nice dinner, it's worth it.

Yelp
This place crushes it every single time. Great food, great service, and great views. When I take my parents on drives out to Tahoe this is where we eat. Yes it's a bit pricey, but the experience is more than just the food. You have a beautiful beach just steps away, the hotel lobby is wonderful spot to sit and chill (huge windows!), and after 5p there's a free hot coco bar with your choice of toppings. This is a great place for family, couples, and even the forever alone types, and it has given my parents and I a lot of great memories. Six stars.

Yelp
First thing I liked was that there is an option to make reservations online so you don't have to call and try to get someone. You can do it in a few seconds, have your table reserved and have confirmation it's done. This place is all about location. Some restaurants only have views at a few tables. This boasts lakeside views from most tables in the place. There is also an outdoor area which was not open on the chilly day we were there. The decor is modern and upscale, but there was a wide range of dress attire happening: everything from casual to upscale. The seating is very comfy with padded couch like booths and oversized chairs with pillows. The food is well done. The menu has a wide variety of options on it. The taste is designed to be palette inspiring, and it looks like a piece of art when it comes to the table. I would definitely recommend the scallops with a French white, perfect pairing. The chocolate creme brûlée is delicious! And if you like foie Gras as more of a pate then you've come to the right place. Our server Nancy was great. Very friendly and personable. What I was most surprised and pleased about was the pricing. This is a bit on the more spendy side when it comes to dining, but given the location and reputation of Edgewood, I thought it would have been more. So I was please not surprised at the price point. I would recommend this place as a wonderful Tahoe view location to go to.

Yelp
. Joalla and Virginia crafted a truly magical experience at Beautiful Hearted, they went extra mile to sit us immersing in a wonderful atmosphere and embracing beautiful energy. Garett, our server, displayed remarkable patience while taking our orders. We're definitely looking forward to coming back for more.

Yelp
While staying at The Edgewood in early January, my partner and I had lunch one day and breakfast another day at The Bistro Edgewood and had mixed thoughts on our two experiences at this restaurant. Both times we went there the service was painfully slow. It took a very long time for every dish to come out (so much so that during lunch, someone came by to ask if we were done with our appetizer plates, when they were clearly clean still...we had just been waiting forever for food to arrive). It was difficult to flag down staff for refills on drinks. For our breakfast specifically, we did not make reservations and when we showed up they asked if we had reservations and we said no. We were told that we would need to wait 20-25 minutes. Normally that's fine, but there were so many empty tables and while waiting I clicked on Open Table to see if reservations were open. Sure enough there were open reservations in 15 minutes that I could have reserved to be seated faster, but we decided to wait it out to be seated thinking that maybe they were understaffed. It still didn't feel good though to see that. For breakfast, we were impressed with the food. My boyfriend ordered chilaquiles with a side of bacon and I ordered an omelet with ham, bacon, cheese, and mushrooms. The omelette was the perfect size and not overly filling. I tried some of my boyfriend's chilaquiles and they were also so good! The side of bacon was cooked crispy, but not too crispy. For lunch, we ordered the saffron mussels to share and I ordered a caesar salad with chicken, while my boyfriend ordered the ramen. The saffron mussels were sooo good. Plenty of sauce for dipping bread and a healthy portion of mussels. I did not like the caesar salad at all. The chicken was dry and there was hardly any dressing. The ramen also had a unique flavor unlike any ramen we have ever had - we couldn't pinpoint what the flavor was, but we didn't like it. We would definitely recommend sticking to ramen restaurants to order ramen and not ordering at somewhere not specializing in ramen. We should have known better than to order ramen here. For drinks, I ordered their mulled wine which was incredible...I ordered this from the bar quite a few times during our stay. My boyfriend enjoyed some old fashions and thought they were well prepared. Would we go here again? Maybe just because it is convenient while staying at the hotel. But knowing how slow the service is, we would definitely need to build in extra time for breakfast or lunch before any excursions when eating here in the future...and also always make a reservation.

Yelp
After coming back from our yearly Tahoe Trip I want to give this review an update! It truly is such a cute and cozy restaurant with fantastic Lake Tahoe views. The bistro has become one of our go to spots when we visit Lake Tahoe! I highly recommended walking the beach after your meal for more scenic views.

Yelp
Disclaimer: I would actually give this a 3.5 stars, but it's not an option so I rounded up. We came here for breakfast and it was good. A decent amount of options for food and drinks. We ordered oatmeal, two egg omelet, biscuits and gravy, and the chicken and waffle. Overall, it was good. Definitely pricey. The chicken and waffle was ok. I've had better. The waffle was quartered, but lacked flavor even when I poured some syrup on it. The fried chicken thighs that came with it was ok...it was bland in flavor and lacked the crispiness that I would have liked. I was pleasantly surprised by the 3 slices of bacon that also came with it because I wasn't expecting that. The biscuits and gravy were delicious according to my husband. He also got a side of sausage, which came out with three patties and were delicious. Our server was very personable and attentive. The view out to the lake was gorgeous. I would recommend reservations just to be safe. I'm not sure how quickly I'd go back as it was pricey for the food that I experienced. I would give it a second chance in the future.

Yelp
Beautiful view and really good food! I thought the service wasn't fantastic because we had to flag down people multiple times, but they were really accommodating to small changes in the meal and my bf and I were super appreciative for that! The salmon is super good, so are the cheese curds and fries. I was really underwhelmed with the lobster pasta, but loved the bone marrow and boar sausage flatbread pizza. The mussels were good and so was the tuna and hamachi. The tea was also delicious. The oats and açaí dessert was underwhelming, so I definitely wouldn't get that again. I'd definitely go back!!

Yelp
Food is yummy, presentation is good, views are amazing, ambiance is classy yet comfortable, and drinks are well crafted. Only thing I wouldn't recommend is the chilaquiles which was just a pile of chips that then became soggy quickly. Otherwise would have been a great brunch after our stay at the hotel
