The Black Lodge

Cheap and relatively good beer, but very poor service. We got the first round fast, apart from the fact that the server accidentally switched our identically looking beer. The second round at least went smoothly. But when we were done, no one came for like 10 minutes to ask about a 3rd round, we needed to hunt them down to take away our empty glasses. When I asked for the bill, and the machine to pay, the waitress disappeared, never came back to our table. My friend went to the bar section and reminded her that we wanna pay. She said, just a second, and she continued to pour beer and to serve other guests for another ten minutes, even though there were only a dozen people in the whole bar at that time. No tips obviously. Not coming back either.

This is probably my favourite restaurant for a number of reasons. It's an all-vegetarian menu that is pretty incredible, even by non-vegetarians' standards. I tried the vegetarian chicken drumsticks for the first time and they blew my mind (only available at this location). The food is packed with flavour and is reasonably priced. The next best thing is the atmosphere. It has that back-woods-lodge feel, with old hardwood flooring and is, of course, known for its affiliation to the world of Twin Peaks. This location is larger (though still cozy) than the original location. Go early unless you have a reservation or you'll risk a wait.

I have been coming to this area for a while but i would never get a table at this restaurant. Literally tried two times to come in and they would be packed. Thats why my curiosity never faded to come here and finally get a seat 💺. Even today me and my friend had to wait in queue for almost half an hour before anyone came to front to get us a seat. I could observe that they were short staffed so maybe too many people took off at the same time. Never mind For me getting a seat at small high rised table is not good . So we got that table as others were still occupied. Then comes the menu which has a lot of vegetarian choices. I was intrigued and happy at the same time. Our order was that of potato pops , vegetarian hot dog and vegetarian rice bowl. I think they use soya base to make the no meat patty n hot dog so there was no flavour. Hot dog toppings made it too soggy to eat. Rice bowl was plain with no flavours and potatoes were the frozen and then deep fried. We didn’t order any drink but there were few in happy hours and other good selection of liquor. Our server and service was great but food wise , it wasn’t that good.

Went for a vegan drinks meet up tonight and had the best time. I have been here before, but seeing the way the staff handles a meet up group makes me want to come back again and again. Great service, super tasty food, reasonably priced drinks: what’s not to love? Pictured is half of the veggie crispy chicken burger. It’s just as tasty as I remember the dead animal version being back in the day 👍 Get the totchos! (Tater tots meet nachos)

I loved my experience here at the Black Lodge Broadway, as I walked in I was blown away by it's decor, I love the ambiance and the cabin feel booths. The food was amazing I had THE 🔥 spicy chicken burger & of course it's a veggie chicken Patty and I also tried the poutine the gravy was WOW

Very cool place with dim lights that make you feel all cozy! Great drinks and beer! Honestly, one of the best varieties of drink! Also good food. We ordered the vegan fries and vegan chicken drumsticks and they did not disappoint. Cheers to the server who was polite and efficient!

Very tasty comfort food! Glorious decor, loved the long, luxurious red velvet curtains! So happy to find vegan and gluten friendly options. Lots of fries! Lol

Another unique character bar that we've seen sprouting up around Vancouver over the last 5-10 years or so. Great style, and good food. Had the "Log Dog", one of their gourmet dogs . Parallel 49 pumpkin brew on tap was magic! The Fraser/Kingsway triangle sure has become a culinary and drinking neighborhood in it's own right.
