Quaint 17th century building. That sadly had a burst water pipe in the rear garden so the cafe part was closed. But Still open for pre-booked rooms. |The building is still Keeping its character with some original features. |The rooms are up a small flight of stairs with a good handrail. |We had bedroom number 5 |Decent size room nice big comfortable bed. |Wardrobe was big enough for our weekend clothes plenty of power points and good WiFi. |Small but adequate bathroom. Really good shower with shampoo. Shower gel and lotion. |Breakfast was great. Perfectly cooked and plenty of food. |Overall we had a great stay and if visiting the area again I will definitely consider staying here again

Overall it was a good stay, the only faults we had in the grand scheme of things are minor. The noise from the drinkers outside pub across the road until late into the evening and then the early morning Bin lorries 6.30am breaking my sleep. Both Monday and Tuesday morning. Breakfast service on Monday was better than Tuesday. My wife's coffee was 1/2 a cup. One swig and gone. Problems with the electrics on Tuesday also meant no Tea at breakfast. I'm sure they must have a kettle in the kitchen but I guess that wasn't an option. No information in the room that I could could see about any WiFi but maybe I missed it in the room folder. Hot water for the shower does actually take 4-5 minutes to come through. Parking is comical as the longest car park is 12 hours free in 24 and the road outside is 3 hours max starting 8am to 6pm FYI if you're visiting Blenheim Palace take the car for free all day parking 9.30-5. there's plenty of choice for evening food. We recommend The Kings Head for good traditional pub grub 2 minutes walk from the Buttery.

We stayed at the Blenheim Buttery for 2 nights in September 25. We had the room 6 which is the room in the upper area of the house. The house is very old and very charming. The room is large, with plenty of space . but expect crooked floors - but hey: It's an old building! The area around is very nice, you can easily go to the Blenheim Palace. If you just want to visit the Garden: Use the "secret" entrance to the public footpath.

Just spent a night here in a superior room. Quite how it can be called that and where 4 stars come from i,ve no idea.|The room is quite spacious with beams which is nice but it then goes downhill.|The door to the en suite has a loose handle which does not work so we couldn't shut the door. The shower door has mould at the bottom, the chrome fittings ie light, towel rail and radiator are covered in rust, the extractor fan filled with dust, the bathroom bin has a broken lid which sits on the bin and does not lift up. There was dust on the floor and on the bedside cabinets, finally the windows and we realise it is an old building but they are rotten and dirty.|Need I say more

Great little B&B in Woodstock. Great location only 10 min walk to blenheim, lots of places to eat around area. Rooms were lovely, bathroom small but usable. Breakfast was good each morning with lots to choose from.

Lunch: we didn’t stay in the hotel so can’t comment on that. However the lunch was lovely. Fish fingers, chips and peas for the little fella Tuna melt and chips for the lady Salami and mozzarella on focaccia for me. And chips. The chips are delicious. Really really good! Whole meal was tip top, their focaccia is light and thin, almost like a Turkish flat bread, was superb. Service was spot on. Nice people. Will definitely return.

Yelp
The Blenheim Buttery is a sweet little place located in Woodstock. We were driving through on a tour and had a lovely meal here. The area is very nice and if you're interested in something to eat this cafe will fill you with warm tea, soups, and sandwiches. Yay!
