Best food we had in Plymouth including the clam chowder! We tried other places that claim to be the best but it was here by far. Everything is made fresh and nice portions. Full of flavor and different with the Caribbean flair. Even the drinks and cocktails are specially crafted and delicious 😋 Must try it, we will be back. Courtney was a friendly, amazing and attentive.

The food was amazing and the staff were friendly. Loved the mussels and the chicken the same. Highly recommended

I love going to this place every time I come back to my home town. The food is shears fresh and delicious and it’s my go to on the water front, if you want to be on the water, those places may lack in food quality as they are all touristy. Amazing Caribbean flair food with fresh seafood and rice bowls. They have an outdoor patio fir people watching too. We got the swordfish with a mango salsa and the shrimp and chicken rice bowl—everything was so flavorful. The crab bisque was delicious, despite the lack of crab in it.

Cute little place! Very casual and nicely decorated. We sat at a high top and had the Maui Thais which were very fruity and delicious! We got the crab dip to start which was pretty good. I ordered the muscles which were chewy but flavored well. Everyone was happy with the meal, we just weren't blown away. Surprisingly, they don't serve many dishes with crab in them!

Google
Perfection and consistency every single time. I pop in once in a while for their Lobster and Crab Creole. Best thing I have ever eaten. I get it every time. So creamy and rich and spicy. Drooling typing this out 😂 Go there immediately. Food, atmosphere and location are top notch.

Google
Absolutely amazing resteraunt! Very well decorated, with great views of the water. The food is on another level, with plenty of delicious options, including the plantain sandwich, which Guy Fieri tried. I also recommend the crab cakes. They are so delicious. You can even see the wall that Guy Fieri signed. This is still one of my top resteraunts in the world, and I've been to a lot.

Google
Very nice staff. The menu was limited and pricey for what you get for a meal. Not a good place to watch a sports game . Limited beers on tap . The food would have been better if the buns didn't come out burnt and covered in cilantro. I don't exactly know how Guy Fieri gave this place a good raring. Maybe since then quality has changed.

Google
Prime location, excellent service, delicious food. We ordered the pu pu platter, chowder, lemonades. The food was so tasty and flavorful. My daughter really enjoyed their chowder, since it had bacon bits. On top of that, the servers were so friendly and helpful. I can't wait for another date night to come back with out kids, so we can enjoy drinks and more yummy food. 😋

Yelp
We came here on a weeknight around 8pm and they weren't very busy, we were seated right away. They have some great patio seating but we opted for inside since it was getting a little cool outside. We came as a group of 5 and all of us got a drink, they had some fun options that came in unique glasses with cute decorations! They even have some non-alcoholic mocktails on their menu. We thought the food was just okay, we were hoping for a better experience with the seafood in particular since we were right by the water. I did get a small cup of clam chowder which was quite good. I had the cajun mahi tacos as my entree and that was only decent at best. The mahi had really good cajun flavoring, I wish that taste would've been the main focus but it was overshadowed by the mango salsa and other toppings. The tacos came with tons of fries, they were perfect crinkle fries! My husband got the fish and chips, the fish wasn't as good as he was hoping for. The biggest downfall was the waitress coming out to tell us that she completely forgot to put in my friend's food order; she told us this after the rest of us got our food. The restaurant was not busy at all...how do you just forget? Very odd. She still put the order in right then, and we waited another 20-30 mins to get that entree brought out to us in a togo box. While they did give my friend her drink for free, they still charged us for that entree that was completely forgotten about and then brought out extremely late after everyone else had finished eating. She didn't even get to eat with us, it was after 9pm by the time we got it and it was time to go. That meal should've been given to her free of charge since it was their big mistake. Despite the very poor service, an automatic gratuity of 20% was already added to our bill since we were a group of 5. The service certainly did not deserve a 20% tip. I'll still give 3 stars since we did like some of the food and they had fun drinks, but I think it's more of a 2.5 if I could give half ratings--mostly because of the service.

Yelp
There is no question that this restaurant is one of the surprises that you will encounter in Plymouth. Everything on the menu is extremely well made to your liking. You couldn't ask for better service from anywhere in the area. We had such a tremendous tasting lunch there this past weekend with my plate being the Rotisserie Jerk Chicken which features a whole half of a chicken and just TONS of authentic flavors throughout from the rice to the plantains and just a wonderful jerk flavor to the chicken. Just a masterpiece and I don't mean that lightly. Rebecca had the Grilled Marinated Steak Tips and they were equally tremendous. It's a short review, but I'm telling you this place is a total masterpiece for the area. It's small inside but you are truly treated like royalty for your time there. We will be back every time we're in the area.

Yelp
My husband and I have been coming to BEC for years and have always enjoyed the food, drinks, atmosphere, and staff. Today we came for brunch and were blown away with how delicious everything was! We'd had the clam chowder, eggs Benedict with tots, waffle with butter syrup and strawberries, breakfast sausage corndog, and the biscuits and gravy... everything was insanely good! The waffle was one of the best I've ever had! I also had the strawberry Bellini, which was light and refreshing, and my husband had a local beer on draft (well Maine Beer Company's Lunch). Never had any but the best food and great service! Jim and his crew know what they're doing and I can't wait to get back!

Yelp
I love this place!! Great Caribbean seafood!!! You can't go wrong with the specials. The banana garlic wings are ridiculously good. But the lobster/crab creole is fucking out of this world amazing!!!! And that's coming from a guy who doesn't like lobster... The rice bowls are super fresh and delicious Great drinks and staff !!! Service is amazing !

Yelp
Came in with plans of an entree but upon entering inside it was so loud, I lost my appetite. Since we were already seated, we decided to order a drink and appetizer. We had a margarita and glass of wine. Large selection of cocktails, wine, or beer. Very nice presentation of drinks and the mixologist deserves props as the mixed drink was very tasty. Chicken wings were delicious. I recommend sitting outside if it's on the busier side as it would be less noisy. We ordered the cornbread app but I remember a time when they served cornbread for free to start a meal. It was delicious and I recommend starting with this app. Shareable for 1-2 people.

Yelp
AWESOME! Service is great; and the food is delicious. The Chef and our wait staff was pretty cool, too! I highly recommend the Sunday brunch.

Yelp
I've always had such great service at the Blue Eyes Crab. I love the uniqueness of the menu. Everything I've tried has been delicious!

Yelp
2 of us arrived around 6pm on a Saturday and sat at the bar. It was a beautiful day out, and many folks were waiting for a table to free up outside. FOOD: I had the coconut shrimp and it was unimpressive. $14 for 4 regular sized shrimp was way overpriced and the shrimp was meh. We asked the bartender if the quantity of 4 was correct and she replied that it was, and that the price of seafood has been crazy high. We learned the rotisserie chicken used for the jerk chicken is refrigerated after it is cooked, then put on the grill just before serving, so we were concerned it would be dry. I didn't care for the fact the chef did not have gloves on but handled food directly. BAR: Generous pour of wine, $11 a glass for Storypoint (which is around $15/bottle). I only saw one chardonnay option but there were lots of types of wines offered. SERVICE: It was challenging to get the bartender's attention on multiple occasions. She seemed to know the group of people who were sitting next to us and spent most of her time chatting with them as well as making drinks for the other patrons. She would pass by us multiple times and not even look up to smile or proactively ask if we needed anything. ATMOSPHERE: It is loud indoors, and this is one of those places where my clothes and hair wreaked from the oil smell from the cooking area. We had planned to have dinner there, but with the poor impression left by the overpriced shrimp and watching the cook in action, the menu items were less attractive so after a drink we left to find an alternative place to eat.

Yelp
Very cool place in Plymouth. We had great food and attentive service on a busy day. The soup, crab cakes, fish tacos and lobster roll were delicious.

Ana P.

Yelp
First time and I would definitely go back!!! Love the outdoor seating, the drinks and food were delicious and our server Phil's was phenomena!! Try the Jibarito Plantain Sandwich Yummy!!

Meg D.

Yelp
Started with a crab and lobster spicy bowl of creole, omg so good. The Fish and chips were made perfect and fresh. The burger was the best my husband has had in Plymouth. Then we tried a limbo stick spicy margarita at the waitstaff's suggestion, I'd come back just for that!!!!

Chris B.

Yelp
Went here a couple of nights ago, the Food was not too bad, Steamers tasted so different compared to one you get like Lobster Hut and etc. The Crab Dip was just ok, a little bit cold when it came out, great views of the Water tho

Yelp
This place would get zero stars if not for our waitress. Saw on DDD and gave it a try. That episode should be removed. Wings were good, but main courses were just awful. My daughter and I ordered the $28 salmon special. It was way undercooked for both of us, the broccolini wasn't salted and the rice was like little dry pellets on the plate. We sent it back to have the salmon cooked a bit more so we could actually eat it. It was returned to us the same as when we sent it back. Both entrees were taken off our bill - thanks to our waitress - who seemed mortified that even after a second try we couldn't eat our raw salmon. Definitely not going back.

Bee G.

Yelp
Update: Zero stars-burger eater got ill. Service is nice but slow. Chowder was amazing. Hot and full of clams. Banana pepper garlic wings had tasty sauce but weren't crisp (gummy skinned) and had zero heat. Burger was raw in the middle and cold in middle even though we asked for medium well very little pink if any. Sent it back after eating a few bites. Jibarito sandwich is on a fried plantain, not bread, Menu doesn't explain that the sandwich is no bread. "Greens" on the sandwich consisted of a tiny bit of shredded iceberg lettuce, the approx 1/3 of a chicken breast this has on it had zero jerk flavor, no heat. The key lime crema and avocado were a tiny smear and you couldn't even taste this. So bland and huge disappointment for what the menu describes. Drinks very inconsistent, had to send one back absolutely gross (was one of their specials too) They did take the burger and one drink off. Music and vibe were not in any way Caribbean. I'd give this crab a black eye.

Alicia B.

Yelp
LOUD LOUD LOUD......the food was good. The service was good. It was so noisy we couldn't have a conversation. It was a relief to leave. I have never been to such a noisy restaurant!

Brianna B.

Yelp
As a Caribbean-American, I get excited to try places with food from my culture (and those similar to it). Unfortunately, this place was not representative of that. Don't get me wrong, the food is cooked decently and we all enjoyed our drinks. The clam chowder was good and my sister and mother thoroughly enjoyed their rice bowls (one had chicken one had shrimp). Also, the drinks were well mixed. The Hawaiian shirt and mango mai tai are great if you like drinks on the sweeter side! However, for the items we ordered that promote caribbean flavors, such as the caribbean roasted peanuts, jerk rotisserie chicken and the Cuban mojo pork, that was subpar. The peanuts were just regular roasted peanuts with jalapeños when actual roasted peanuts in the caribbean have so much flavors with spices we add with salt. For my jerk rotisserie chicken, there was no jerk seasoning, which is the main component of jerk chicken! Also, my fried plantain had a chip consistency instead of the softness it's supposed to have and there was a purée on my plate that tasted like baby food .. not a fan. Lastly, my dad's Cuban mojo pork was over cooked and had no taste. We added some salt and hot sauce, which made it slightly better, but not by much. We all agreed though that the saffron rice was seasoned well. Overall, this felt like Americanized version of caribbean food with some good drinks.

Yelp
Love the Caribbean style food here, great rum drinks and great service. I had the Jerk Chicken entree and it was bomb

Logan D.

Yelp
3.5/5 About 3/4 full around 1:00PM on a Saturday. Pros: -Fun menu -Huge chunk of complimentary starter cornbread, which is warm and buttery! -Good service -- Jerk Chicken Buns ($8.50) I was kind of hoping these would be steamed buns, not sliders, but alas, they were the latter. The two small sliders are piled with jerk chicken, melted gouda cheese, mango salsa, and key lime aioli. The chicken is tender and the sliders are satisfying, but I didn't taste any spice on the chicken, nor did I get any lime from the aioli. I would probably opt for the Jibarito Plantain Sandwich or the Tuna Tartare if I returned.

Yelp
Food is honestly good but the portions and quality per dish is definitely not good. The reasoning for this review is the 35 dollar "large party fee" for a party of 5. very disappointed in this establishment do not come here unless you want to pay double even triple for low quality and especially quantity

Brande W.

Yelp
Ok, so we have never been here because we're big Cabby Shack fans, so when we are in the area, we're usually there (travel for a living, so only here for 6 weeks per year). However, one day I wanted something different, so I tried this place. Went back right away with my BF. I really like this place. Sat at the bar both times. The bartender is cool. Really like that guy. We got the Crab Bisque. It has great flavor. Very lobster bisque, sub the shellfish. The BF doesn't like lobster (I know, what a freak), but he wanted to try the bisque since it was crab, not lobster. The taste was good, but I wish there was more crab. No crab flavor, no lump crab, but good bisque flavor. We also ordered the Grilled Oyster special. Those things were AWESOME! Little lemon and their house made hot sauce (I like the tall skinny bottle best), and we're golden! The banana wings were cooked well, but just something in the spicing I didn't like. I'm not a fan of Allspice, so it may have been that. Not bad, just not my jam. We also got the crab cakes. These arrive and they look small, compared to other crab cakes around, but I have to say they are fat and FULL of crab. ZERO filler here. The crunch on the outside is perfect and their sauces are awesome! Again, homemade hot sauces on these! Finally, we had the Mofongo. This. This is why we came, and we didn't even know it. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and huge and the sauce was great, but this dish is allll about the plantain hash! Holy hanna! That was EPIC! I would have eaten a whole other plate of just that. Get this dish. Period. I've seen other reviews that they've had issues with the service and some with the food. I've been here twice and everyone has been friendly, and the food has been on point. Just my 2 cents!

Yelp
This used to be my favorite restaurant on the waterfront. I told everyone to go here, went all the time to sit outside in the summer. They used to have exotic fish dishes but I think that's over, the only special they ever have now is salmon or some sort of rice bowl. But since they opened their fancy $$$$ sister restaurant this place has gone to crap. They changed their menu (why?!!) and the service is.... arrogant. Last two times we went resulted in the "Guava BBQ pork special" to be raw thinly sliced pork chop with no bbq on it at all- when the bartender noticed I had switched plates with my husband (who is always too embarrassed to return food), I said the bbq pork had no bbq, was pink and cold in the middle he said "oh, you mean the way a pork chop is supposed to be served?" And walked away, knowing full well we weren't happy... my poor husband was then up at 3am in the bathroom puking raw pork. The next time we visited it was the first day of Memorial Day weekend, they had just opened for the day and said their fish order hadn't been in when we asked for mussels (there is a fish market across the street, mind you), and they were out of crab cakes. We ordered the calamari, a favorite of ours... to find out it was no longer yummy and fried... but "grilled". Bare, rubbery, difficult to chew, inedible rings with no taste in some sort of sauce that was on the bottom of the plate. Neither of us could eat it, it is the most disgusting thing I've ever been served. We didn't eat it and left my debit card out for the waitress, we saw we hadn't eaten, never asked if anything was wrong, and clearly knew we were repulsed. She asked if we wanted a box, took my card, and said nothing else. We didn't eat a bite and we were charged anyway. So, fair warning- if you want to risk a staff that doesn't care about your needs and food that will potentially make you vomit all night, try it out... but there are WAY better places with better menus and better views in Plymouth. BTW, I left this review on the FB page and was sworn at and my career mocked by the owner and his wife. The most unprofessional response to a complaint I've ever seen. Beware if you dare open your mouth to complain!

Claude O.

Yelp
Food was good but portions small and prices high. Not sure it was worth it. $14 got 4 coconut shrimp appetizer. My meal came with so little rice I asked for more and was charged $8 more for plain rice.

Ashley R.

Yelp
I can't believe this place made it on to DDD. I ordered the jibarito plantain sandwich and the banana garlic chicken wings. Both were just ok. The sandwich didn't have a lot of flavor. Needed salt. The wings had great flavor but were a little too saucy for me. My friend got the Cajun shrimp salad and the lettuce was wilted and rotten and the shrimp was undercooked. My other friend got the nachos which were also just ok. They cheese was over cooked/burnt and hard to even remove from the plate. Overall very disappointed. The waitress was very nice and took the rotten salad off our bill. And to top it off they were not very busy and it took over and hour to get our food. Never been so disappointed by a DDD recommendation.

Monica L.

Yelp
My husband and I just had brunch there and ummm.... 1000% the best chicken and waffles I've ever had (and I'm from the south! lol) Blueberry butter, caramelized plantain yogurt and cinnamon rum maple syrup !! Do yourself a favor and just go! NOW!

Elaine L.

Yelp
Definitely some of the most delicious food in the harbor, creative drinks and desserts. Paige the bartender was attentive and friendly. Toes in the sand cocktail was yummy, corn bread with maple butter was a great starter. Rotisserie jerk chicken with mango salsa, saffron rice, broccolini jalapeño and mango creme was delicious. Key lime pie in a jar was a great ending.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
We were totally unimpressed! Menu is very small with limited choices. Not too many "Caribbean" dishes to choose from either. The name is very misleading. I actually got stuck ordering a crab bisque soup because nothing else sounded appetizing. The "crab" bisque sound had about 2 teeeny, tiiiny pieces of crab meat in it... Absolute joke. My husband had the Cuban Pork Sandwich and he said all he tasted was the yellow mustard! It was COVERED! He was totally grossed out. This place is definitely a tourist trap!

Mia C.

Yelp
One of my favorite places on the waterfront. The banana garlic wings are my personal fav, but their entire menu is incredible, very unique. A lot of flavors working surprisingly well together.

Jen M.

Yelp
When I find myself in Plymouth I like to go to the blue eyed crab my usual is the chicken rice bowl. 3 adults my 8 year old and 19 month old. They insisted that we could not sit outside at a table because we were a large party we could only sit outside if we sat on the couch.Relisticaly we would have fit at a four person table, but my son wanted to sit on the couch, so I didn't argue. We ordered banna garlic wings for an appetizer. They were good but nothing to write home about. I got the usual, my husband got the salmon special and my mom got caulifour pizza with a side of fries. My 8 year old tried some of each. The baby has a special diet and didn't eat. Appitizer came out right away. The food took an hour even though they weren't busy. My mom kept asking why we didn't go to the lobster hut instead. Finally the food came we ate everything no complaints. Then the Bill came and they added a 20% tip. They said they do this to all parties over 4. I would have tipped 20% anyway (I have worked in the service industry). The part that annoyed me is they counted my 19month old baby who stayed in his stroller and didnt eat anything as a person. Airlines don't make him buy a seat he's a lap child, but according to blue Eyed crab we are forced to tip 20% because we brought the baby. They are not kid friendly don't have a kids menu or kids cups.

Yelp
I went here for dinner the other day to try this place out. This place is located on the main road near the harbor in Plymouth. It has outdoor seating and a great view of the ocean along with indoor seating and the bar. I was surprised that this place had such a good menu and Had a variety of food form Different countries. Even tho it took a little longer then usual for the food, it was worth it. All the dishes looked good as u can see in my pictures and I got the conch fritters and a Cuban sandwich I'm a very picky eater and have him around the country in different places and I also had lots of Cubans sandwiches in Miami and this sandwich was like the ones in Little Havana. This is a must visit restaurant!

Steven J.

Yelp
The wife and went at a suggestion of my wife's coworker. Well let me tell you we were not disappointed. It was a hot day so a big meal was out. I opted for the Grilled Burger and it was fantastic. It taste like someone ground a ribeye steak. There was a thick slice of bacon that had great flavor and I'm not sure what the sauce was but I could taste a Smokey flavor like BBQ. My wife got the Chicken sandwich and she was as happy as I was. We will suggest and return soon!

DA H.

Yelp
Yeah, a 2 Star... I've been going here for years and it used to be amazing. Last week was the last time though. The menu got reworked recently and it basically looks like the same few ingredients prepared a few different ways. Let me repeat that. The menu is basically the same few things just prepared a little differently for each "region"... It looks like there are a lot of options, but there aren't... It's uninspired, lazy, and insulting when you compare it to what it used to be. The chicken sandwich - always a go to for me - is gone, and it's hard to find anything I WANT to orlder on the latest menu. It's just boring and dull now. It tastes fine... But it's no longer fun. There's no need to go here anymore.

Gio B.

Yelp
So this an interesting place. It's completely pack and noisy inside, if that's not your thing I would recommend sitting out where it's more peaceful. In this packed Caribbean place, I'm the only black person in here (could not not mention it), company is very friendly though. My server came pretty quickly to ask me "anything caught your eyes this evening?" Got the mango mai tai (strong drink). The arancini, I didn't care much for ... the Jibarito plantain sandwich though, pretty tasty! Rhum cake ok. Overall interesting menu, would come back to try other items on the menu

Martin O.

Yelp
Back when they had their original floor plan, read tiny, they had a super fun and evolving specials board that had fish I'd never heard of (wahoo!). Slowly as they expanded it seems they have either lost that uniqueness or just grown more confident in their stride so that they can start to cater to a different clientele. I haven't liked the past few times because they had tuna, swordfish, salmon, and cod on specials only. Nothing special about mass marketed fish. Frankly, the new menu is laid out by region and color coded by what course each dish is. It's confusing at first but ok. The issue here is that they have (admittedly based upon blurb on their menu) thrown out the past ways that made them into what they are and have instead chosen to go down a unique path that is supposed to be gastronomically alluring to both our palettes and eyes. Kudos to them but also in what world do you build your empire on one foundation and then quickly chose an about face that flys against your clienteles wants The kitchen is stubborn and won't make changes to match the needs of their guests (an employee point blank told us that they never had worked with a kitchen that would so adamantly not budge or substitute, potatoes for rice here, in her career). Perhaps this will sadly meet the same fate of another Guy Fieri Plymouth visit, the doomed Driftwood which was closed last year. I wish them well on their new journey and truly hope that their path is correct for them. Sadly based upon newer reviews on multiple web review pages, it seems I am not alone in saying that the once mighty Blue eyed crab, the restaurant that I took my would be wife to on our first date, has begun to alienate its patrons.

Bree S.

Yelp
I am so happy to have a place with a Caribbean vibe in our New England town! Food is really good, and the drink options are incredible. My husband had a fish stew that he can't stop talking about. The ascetic in the restaurant could use some help, but that's really my only gripe so I am still giving this five stars because food, drinks and service are what really matter and they hit the mark on all of those. (It has a cabana vibe, which is nice because it keeps things casual, but I think the food and drink options are well above casual cabana level and passersby probably don't even realize it.)

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Soooooooo good! Delish island style food-from chicken to steak tips to amazing seafood! Rice bowls above compare!. Pu-pu platter is legit beyond amazing. Perfectly seasoned and wonderfully unexpected. The drinks are to die for (mango mai tai and coconut cocktails!). Definitely deliciously above the ordinary :) allllllllllll the stars!

Michelle C.

Yelp
Went to Blue Eyed Crab after not going for years due to bad food and rude response from restaurant. Thought maybe things had changed. Husband and I sat down and ordered drinks. We waited and waited and no drinks and the waitress (only one) just kept walking around to other tables and never even took our order so we got up and walked out. Also noticed young couple next to us were not eating all their food. I guess some things never change. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Katherine C.

Yelp
I debated between a 3 and a 4. On one hand, the menu is pretty limited. They categorize the food by 3-4 regions (including Plymouth) but the food is pretty similar across each. There is a burger, bowl, and maybe a salad each. On the other, the seafood is super fresh and the outdoor seating has a great view of the main road and some water. Why a 3? Well, when I think Caribbean food, I don't think burgers - let alone 3 different types of burgers. There are also lotsa fun drinks on the menu, but they are watered down. Why almost a 4? Like I said, the seafood is really fresh. The conch fritters, oysters, shrimp etc...was very fresh. Overall, I liked the place that I would go back if asked. But would not be likely to suggest it myself.

Kam M.

Yelp
Our waiter, Phil, was terrible. We got there at 6:00 and didn't get our food until 7:45 and another person delivered it. When I was about to leave because of the wait, he gave me an attitude instead of an explanation. Not once did he come over and ask how we were doing or if we needed anything. I understand everyone has bad days but the nasty attitude paired with the bad service was wildly inappropriate and made for a bad experience.

Dean F.

Yelp
I have been to this establishment many times, and every time it lives up to the rating I am giving it. My favorite restaurant in Plymouth. The food is really quite good, and I have always had decent service. The venue is small and very nice for a date. The Lobster Mac and Cheese is the best I have had, normally not a dish I would order but it is great at this place. All the other dishes I have had were very good. Solid restaurant, one of the best on the South Shore not just Plymouth.

Yelp
I was in Plymouth after a cake tasting and wanted something to try for lunch before heading home. Yelped it and this this spot was the winner. Staff was great and attentive. I only want want to mention one thing. The jerk chicken pizza I believe .... didn't really have that jerk like taste to it. Otherwise the food was good and affordable. Ribs was good. Clam chowder has a good amount of Clam in it. The taste is just perfect not to salty or bland. Sadly didn't get to try their drinks. I would definitely come back for dinner just just to try SOME SEAFOOD.

Yelp
Fabulous! Due to Covid-19, we sat outside on a beautiful, comfy couch. Service was quick and safe. The Shirley Temple was sublime, but I accidentally spilled it. They quickly gave us napkins and a free refill! The swordfish was thick and juicy with a full body taste. Reminded me of a medium rare steak. The chicken bowl and rice side were also top of the line. Very happy with this place and heavily recommend it!

Yelp
Went in August 2021. Food was OK but service was poor. We were a party of seven (four adults, three teens). They would not allow us to push the tables together (it was an easy thing to do and not disruptive) and the waitress was rude when we asked. I ordered what I thought was an IPA but was brought a spritzy beer. I didn't take a sip and told the waitress it wasn't what I ordered. She brought me an IPA, but when the bill came I was charged for the spritzy drink, which she had removed from the table untouched. Even though we couldn't sit together, an 18% tip was baked into the bill, which I found odd. We wouldn't go back.

Yelp
Here. In Plymouth for the weekend. This restaurant is located in a little open air mall with several other restaurants. However, when we walked by it just smelled good. You know like when you go home for the holidays and you walk up to your own house and your mom is cooking some really good food....that kind of good. We were seated pretty quickly because somebody did not show up for their reservation, their loss. Started off with some amazing rum drinks. I'm not really into sweet drinks and the waitress pointed me to the "old Cuban "which was very very good. My wife had their signature mai tai which was she said, "very yummy". For dinner I had the Seabass and my wife had their cod dinner. Both were amazing. We will be back. I only feel bad for the people who never showed up for their reservation. They missed a fantastic meal Ok...so we came back on night #2 of our stay in Plymouth just for drinks. Tried an awesome run: Dr. Brown's Really Bad Rum I'm normally a single malt guy...but let me tell you. I'm putting this rum in my collection.

Yelp
I went here with my brother and he loved his meal. I can't say that my meal wasn't good, it just wasn't what it was supposed to be. I ordered the jerk chicken. I've grown up with Jamaican friends and I always get jerk chicken from Jamaican restaurants. This version of jerk chicken was broiled chicken with a season salt type rub and a roasted pepper on the side. That IS NOT jerk chicken. Jerk chicken is a jerk SAUCE or jerk rub. The hot pepper on the side is not jerk in any shape or form. The chicken itself was tasty. The sides were tasty. I was so hungry, that I just ate it and decided to go to get real jerk chicken the next time I'm going out to eat.

Yelp
I'm not big on blue eyes; I prefer big dark black eyes, but that's just me! Notwithstanding: As we walked inside this noisy establishment -- the cacophonous crowd inside, as other Yelpers had noted, was not to be denied -- so we asked the host, Tyler, who was extremely nice and pleasant, if we might be able to be seated outside. He said "a half hour wait." He must have sensed our hesitation, at which time he said something about switching things around (I couldn't really tell what he said due to the loud buzz within), he disappeared, then reappeared and said we could be seated outside: "in about ten minutes." Very nice; Thanks! I went to the bar to order drinks while the others went to wait outside on some nice couches-of-comfort for the interim. Gabriella M., at the bar, was fantastic: friendly; she really knew her stuff, and clearly very accomplished at her craft, is the epitome of the congenial (to use an old phrase without concern for political correctness) Barmaid! The food was good; the oysters too: but for the shucking, which was not so good. I've spit out shell fragments before. No big deal, at least the oysters didn't look like ground turkey. What really brought the score down was the wait-staff out on the patio. Kayla C. and Nicky seemed to struggle to put on a happy face and didn't really seem too interested in being there doing what they were supposedly doing: serve? We probably would not return seeing as there's many other places within 'shouting' distance to explore.

Yelp
I have been here a few times, continue to try and give the benefit of doubt. But, no mas! Simply put, it is in Plymouth's waterfront district and is nothing more than a very overpriced tourist trap. The service is horrible if busy and the food is so-so but even more so when you get the tab. It will do in a pinch, but do not expect to overwhelmed. It thrives on the volume of tourists and lacks quality, in and out to never be seen again by most. Great concept , but fails to deliver.

Yelp
It says something about a place when the quandary on Yelp is deciding between two stars or three. I settled on three because my BFF says she loves this place. I've only been once and I'm on the fence. It's cute. One big room. A view. Bright colors, seafront cottage chic, the Blue Eyed Crab is a touristy restaurant tucked in amongst touristy restaurants on the waterfront in Plymouth. Metered parking out front, town parking out back, so depending on time of year and the weather, you should have no trouble finding a spot. But the Blue Eyed Crab as a name is kinda misleading, at least to those of us who know that Blue Crab is the utmost in culinary savagery -- there's nothing better than the succulent sweetness of the backfin of the Chesapeake Bay crab. But don't get your' hopes up. You'll be getting none of that here. Food is okay. There's no blue crab on the menu. Everyone (on Yelp) raves about the cornbread which is just okay. Is this a theme? The overrating of something just because it's not what everybody else does? The bread is ordinary. Is there honey in the butter? Not sure. No strong identifiable tastes. I ate because I was hungry. For my entree, I ordered the pecan crusted .... some sort of fish. But what was advertised as "pan seared" -- which conjures images of concentrated flavor -- turned out to be deep fried. The accoutrements -- mashed potatoes and mango puree -- were tasty --- but, dang, I didn't expect a fried fish. Drinks are subpar. I ordered a cocktail that was supposed to come with "house marinated cherries," which makes any aficionado think "Luxardo," or at least an improvised version, but what I got was a very ordinary drink with two sickly sweet Maraschino cherries out of a jar. I felt defrauded. We were there on a really rainy cold night in May. We had reservations but didn't ned them. We could have had almost any table in the place. It wasn't very crowded. Servers and bartender are young and lackadaisical and look as though they're in Algebra class, waiting for the bell to ring. They had no sense of how to wait a table. We didn't stay for a second drink. But I've seen this place on a hot summer night, hopping and happy. I walked past it then and wondered. Now I'm glad I kept going.

Yelp
Blue Eyed Crab Caribbean Grill & Rum Bar serve caribbean inspired food with quite a bit of seafood option. The restaurant itself is situated along the main harbor/tourist area, looks lively and is colorful. It's definitely among one of the better ones to dine if you found yourself in Plymouth. I found the food here to be just ok. i ordered Jibarito Plantain Sandwich and found the plantain to be bland and stiff...more sort of like a rubber taste. It was a bit off putting to eat stiff plantain as a bun along with the rest of the sandwich filling, so much to the point that I ended up just tearing the sandwich apart and just picking the sandwich filling out of plantains to eat. I don't know what they could do better with the plantain..maybe seasoning or soaking/marinating it a little bit could have made it a little bit more moist, tastier and more palatable. My SO ordered a lobster roll and he thought it was just one of those ok meals..nothing bad but nothing much to remember either (especially since we had just driven down from Maine where lobsters were abundant, fresh, sweeter and tastier). That said, the place seems to be a better, livelier spot to stop by if you are looking for somewhere cool indoor or an outdoor patio to hang out after doing all the touristy stuff.

Yelp
Great location with a lot of parking around. This is a cute little Caribbean themed restaurant that's probably more for family style dining. It's really bright and colorful. Dessert: Sandbar Blonde Brownie with dulce de lecce, vanilla bean ice cream and whipped cream. One word: Amaaaaaaaaaazing! Drinks & Service: Hibiscus Margarita- Oh boy. It might just be my drink only but tone down on the sour mix. I barely tasted anything but the sourness and was left sitting there waiting for the water when we asked for them before we got our drinks. Maybe because we came in at 8ish and they were preoccupied with cleaning up since they closed pretty early around 9pm that they kind of forgot about us.
