The Blue Note

Pleasant atmosphere, no service so you get your drinks inside. It was cold but they had a heating that had to be turned on by customers every 10 minutes maybe. Overall, good place to have a drink and chat with friends.

I’m glad I had the opportunity to drop in. It wasn’t too busy while we were there, but not empty either. I wish we had the opportunity to catch some live music, but everything else was perfect.

Nice pub, nice Irish vibe and perfect pint of Guinness! This area of Galway has a lot of small streets and old buildings, providing a amazing sensation! This pub is very traditional one and a great option in this area. Definitely recommended and for sure I'll return back with friends from Galway and people who is visiting the city.

This is a must stop in Galway. While there are many choices, the vibe and brew selection pushed it up on my list. Enjoyed a local IPA from Wide Street and great conversations with staff and patrons. A lot of neat spaces for various size groups. The service is fast and friendly. Thanks for a great pint.

Everything I look for in a tap room: extensive selection intelligently curated, knowledgeable and friendly staff happy to let you try anything, comfortable spots to sit and enjoy. Thanks to Aidan and team, will be back soon.

I basically visited here because we had a night in gallaway and they had great craft beers listed on the Untappd application. I very much enjoyed the heavy whiplash stout I had there and the staff that was there tried to recommend a solid place for an omelette but we didn’t get there the next morning because we could hardly sleep at the hotel we stayed at.

Great vibe, great people, great staff , great music, friendly..well as a matter of fact everybody is welcome...going there again this weekend.

Great, friendly service; perfect atmosphere. The outdoor seating is perfect. Wouldn't go anywhere else for a pint.

I have a lot of time for Blue Note. It reminds me of Anseo in Dublin, and that's high praise indeed. It's pretty chilled out, with some quality chunes sneaking out of the speakers. The staff seem spot on, though I haven't really been talking to them. I've only been in on quiet weeknights, so I've never really seen it packed out and going 90. Which is the only thing keeping it from five stars. Good pub

It was in Blue Note where I fell properly in love with trip-hop music. It was in Blue Note where I had the most amazing nights. And it was Blue Note that I would miss the most after moving to London. My weekends would literally consist of Blue Note when I lived in Galway. Such a great spot to start the night.

Great draft beer selection and a large/lively smoking porch. Also the most friendly staff we've experience in Galway!!! Extra plus: the inside tables have USB charging ports for the people always running on low battery!

I was in Blue Note on Sat eve, my friend's birthday. The palce was very quite. When we requested songs for my friend, DJ was very rude. He could have said he wouldn't play them instead of being nasty about it . I will never, ever go back to that place. I will not be insulted and pay for it. I want to wish all the best to the Blue Note management if they want to keep the ppl in, they should take care of the staff first. Catriona
