Amazing place to dine. Sea food is always top quality and the service is wonderful. Atmosphere is cool and top of all that i love art deco in front of store. had tried some small sides and all were good.
Pop in because looking for light lunch and something different so ended up here as i love art in front of store.

I’ve been waiting for a really high range fishmonger that provides top quality fish,scallops and oysters in Hertford. It’s always difficult trying to find someone that provides consistent service and quality of product and it’s always been extremely fresh. The oysters are some of the biggest and freshest I’ve had. We then tried out the new restaurant/bar and it’s such a nice vibe with really fun decor. It’s a small bar, but perfect for some oysters and Champagne/Prosecco before going on into town. Everyone was incredibly friendly and a special shout out to the homemade condiments for the oysters - the chilli one is the best! Also, the shark on the outside of the building is so fun- always makes me smile walking past.

The Blue Oyster is truly a hidden gem and I’m delighted that we stumbled across it. The food was incredible, service excellent - nothing was too much trouble and it’s small and comfortable in a really nice setting. We will definitely be returning. I highly recommend The Blue Oyster

We went into the restaurant after it opened - I had previously brought some oysters at Xmas and an octopus (difficult to find!) both the oysters and octopus we fresh and delicious. So I was excited when the restaurant opened. We went in as a group of 8 and the food was great, the table behind us food looked great! We tried some of the smoked trout and more oysters! We only had small plates as we were already booked elsewhere, but they were small and delicious!

Popped in today with my Mum, had a look around the restaurant, looks lovely and they welcome dogs, yay fantastic. Didn't have time for lunch today but picked up some kiln smoked salmon, absolutely delicious. Excellent welcome by the owner and family. Can't wait to go for lunch very soon. 5*

Pre ordered some scallops and oysters. Glenn said he would get them fresh for me the next day. Ate them that same day and was massively impressed. I had a look around the bar/restaurant area and was given a complimentary Prosecco and Oyster to sample. What a great addition to the town.
