The Boat Inn

Had a lovely roast this afternoon. I had pork and my husband had beef. It was delicious. Could have done with a little more gravy because it was so yummy. We ate outside by the river. There was an absolutely amazing singer on too. (Rhiannon Paige!) The summer vibes were absolutely spot on.

Visited on a really hot bank holiday day and managed to get a seat outside by the river. The staff were working tirelessly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was worth the wait and we will return no matter what the season because the inside was gorgeous too.

Stopped there for a drink. Most friendliest of host. Lady in the bar was friendly professional and very kind. Amazing seats overlooking the water and bridge. Thoroughly recommended 👌🏾

Love, love, love this place! Perfect setting… amazing food and the best service. Very friendly but also extremely professional. So glad we found this amazing place after recently moving to the area and chosen it for every family occasion meal since. Running out of things to try on the menu now… it’s all so good! Can’t wait for summer and drinks relaxing outside by the riverbank 💕

Stopped buying for lunch, sat outside with a view over the river. Very good food and friendly staff. Inside the pub is amazing a bit like being on a galleon. Will definitely go back.

We ordered roast 5 minutes before food stopped. I'm guessing we got the scraps. Inedible, veg was rock hard and tasted dodgy. Both bits of meat were horrible. And nobody asked if it was OK when they took our almost-full plates away. The service other than that was friendly and helpful and they served a good pint and helped us with high-chairs. Wouldn't eat there again but a lovely location and hopefully just a one-off.

We decided on this Inn for a bite to eat due to its location and appearance. We decided to sit out on the waters edge as it was a lovely sunny day with our dogs. Water bowls are provided for the dogs who visit this lovely place. For lunch, we had beer battered cod and fries (skin on) and peas. The food did not disappoint it was cooked perfectly. To wash it down, we had two pints of peroni, which was lovely and cool. The staff are friendly and accommodating as well as a well-kept pub. Highly recommended 👌

Lovely spot on the river. £5.90 for an Asahi. Weird single file queue system which the bar staff seemed to enforce, so the atmosphere inside was like waiting at a post office.
