The Boathouse Luxury Guest House

We hosted a two-day sales conference on 15–16 January and absolutely loved the experience. The tea-time treats were in abundance, the venue was stunning, and the ocean views were simply beautiful. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable, and our colleagues from Cape Town and Johannesburg were truly blown away by both the rooms and the breathtaking scenery. With a promenade right outside the venue, some of my collogues enjoyed a lovely morning walk along the beach, which made the experience even more special. A special shout-out to Joyce, Evidence, and Karyn for their excellent service and support – you truly helped make our experience exceptional! Overall, it was a fantastic stay and an unforgettable conference experience.

I visited The Boathouse with a group of friends in January and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, ensuring we had everything we needed. The vibe is just right—lively enough to be fun, but quiet enough to relax when you want to. The value for money is excellent given the prime location and the quality of the amenities. A solid 5-star experience all around.

I stayed hear for one night, having arrived from the airport, intending to travel after resting for one day. The property arranged a taxi for me from the airport. You pay the driver, who collects you from the general Pick Up point, which is only a short walk. You are in contact with hime via What's App. This worked very well. The room was clean, spacious and had everything that you would need. Staff were helpful and friendly. The only downside was the food - it was Indian - and that does not agree with my tummy, so I asked for an alternative, chicken and chips, which was not very nice as it was overcooked. I would be happy to stay at this location again but I would go elsewhere for the evening meal. The breakfast was fine.

I hosted my 21st birthday party at Boathouse on the Beach in Ballito, and the experience was absolutely fantastic from start to finish.||The location is stunning, right on the beach with beautiful ocean views that really set the mood for the celebration. Many of my guests commented on how special the setting was, especially around sunset.||The staff were friendly, professional, and extremely attentive, making sure everything ran smoothly throughout the evening. Their organisation and service made the event feel effortless.||The food and drinks were excellent — fresh, well presented, and delicious. We received so many compliments from guests about the quality.||Overall, the function was perfectly managed and exceeded all expectations. It was the ideal place to celebrate such a special milestone, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Boathouse on the Beach to anyone visiting or living in Ballito.

Great location on the beach, very relaxed atmosphere. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, awesome view of the ocean from the windows and balcony. Was able to easily walk to several nice restaurants, but I can also recommend the Indian restaurant on site. The food was very good, the service was excellent and the staff were very attentive. I would consider both the hotel and restaurants very good value.

Great location, staff very friendly. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. Weather was not great, but even so had an awesome stay||

We stayed there in 2010, have gone back several times on short notice, to learn that they are fully booked. This time round did the same and guess what...got three single rooms at short notice! Receptionist and staff were excellent, and the food was great!!
