The Boathouse Phuket

What a beautiful hotel! We spent New Year there and had a fantastic time. The bedrooms are lovely with a super comfy bed and great shower. The staff are amazing and the food exceptional. A highlight was the continuous water that was served when we were around the pool, together with fruit kebabs. It was the numerous personal touches that made us feel very special.

I’ve been staying at The Boathouse for a week now, and it’s been such a pleasure. The rooms are beautifully lit, spacious, and provide plenty of room for everyone. The standout feature, though, is the incredible service, especially from Executive Chef Jonathan.||One evening, we chatted with Jonathan about our lunch and dinner preferences, and by the time we arrived for dinner, everything was already prepared for us. We didn’t even need to order—it was seamless, personable, and perfectly executed.||What’s also lovely is the welcoming atmosphere. You see people traveling solo, and it’s clear how familiar and connected the staff are with their guests.||This is simply the best hotel on Karon Beach in Phuket. The staff is wonderful, the restaurant is outstanding, and having the chance to see Jonathan every day adds such a special touch. Nice little boutique hotel. Location is impeccable, right in the middle of the busy section of Kata beach. The beach can be extremely packed during the day, but luckily the hotel pool is just a few meters away. The food is great, the room is small but nice. Unfortunately, the hotel charges 5-star prices for a 4-star experience. A bit overpriced, but same with everything else in Phuket.

The service was SO outstanding. It's a smaller boutique hotel, and every staff member was so pleasant and friendly (especially Fan and X who were our breakfast waiteress and waiter). This is the only place I would ever stay in Kata Beach. Its right on the beach (on the end of a usually crowded beach) and since beaches in Thailand are pubic, the Boathouse is like an oasis of calm. Rooms were fine, the drinks were decent, but the breakfast was amazing with tons and tons of variety. Convenient nearby massage places (Tum Rub Thai was our favorite), a 7-11 for misc supplies, and loads of restaurants. We had a huge amount of dirty laundry, so choose to take it to a place about 5-minutes walk (Onono Laundry) which was awesome service / quality. The beach & water were nice, but nearby traffic and travel time to the airport was a hassle. But every time we walked into The Boathouse, it was bliss.

The hotel is located right on Kata beach. We thought that the hotel was located at the right end of the beach. We walked up the hill one evening for dinner at Mom Tri restaurant - which is well worth a visit. You can sit outside by the pool and watch and listen to the sea which is literally only a few meters away. We had bar snacks by the pool - which were really good. Breakfast at the hotel was varied and one of the nicest breakfasts we ate while away for nearly a month. We also ate dinner at the hotel restaurant - which was equally good. The staff were all so so friendly and accommodating. Our room - one of the suites with a balcony - was wonderful. We had a truly memorable and great stay at The Boathouse hotel.

I felt compelled to write a review because this hotel is what dreams are made of! I’ve travelled a lot and I would say this would be one of my top picks for a return visit. I came two hours before check-in expecting a bit of a wait but was straight away taken to the veranda overlooking the sea and offered a coffee. My room was ready five minutes later and to my delight the team had upgraded my stay to an ocean suite. I was stunned, the suite was beautiful and had its own loungers overlooking the infinity pool and sea. The interior was perfect, spotless and well thought through. I booked a stay including breakfast, which is an absolute must. Lots of choice on the menu, lovely coffee and an incredible view of the sea. I stayed elsewhere in Phuket first to see a couple of different areas but I wish I had come straight here. I don’t want to leave!

Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were very nice and clean. The food was very good. The beach was nice and beautiful. They gave fresh oranges to my room. Overall a lovely experience and I really enjoyed spending time here with my parents.

Our meal here was absolutely delicious! We booked a reservation for dinner about a month in advance, paid 2000 THB in advance as well, and thoroughly enjoyed the service and foods! Highly recommend!!!
