I am exhausted. Some woman having phone conversations after midnight; people coming in at 1am and 2am, turning lights on, making noise and having showers, setting up their beds with horrible noisy metal clanking. The reception and facilities are good, but the overall object of getting rest is nullified by idiots making noise, starting again at 5am. Clearly the management do not tell people to be respectful. Add to that the snoring opposite me making it impossible to sleep. And the whole place smells of farts. By the morning there wasn’t a toilet seat not covered in dried urine. I’m not pleased. This is a crash house for party guys and urban carelessness. *Edited down to one star because I complained to morning reception and she basically shrugged and said so what. What a disastrous night.

First I come to the address I asked for a room they said they don't have I waited for the evening and decided to call and they said they have a room so I walked 15 minutes and when I arrived the woman said they don't have a hostel bed for me!!! Horrible woman she wants me to sleep outside or something....

Rooms, showers and bathrooms are clean and safe, but noisy. Beds dont have curtains for privacy. Not much of a hostel atmosphere where you can socialise easily with other travelers. It seems more like a cheap hotel option for Spanish people visiting from out of town. The staff in the attached cafe is rude and very slow. The city has so many great little restaurants, so if you want to go out to eat, I would go elsewhere if I was to return some day...

Excellent hostel. The rooms were very clean and had nice interiors, simple but functional. The bed was extremely comfortable as well as the pillows. The Staff was friendly and helpful. One star less because of the restaurant, due to the fact the prices were too high and the portions small, food didn’t look fresh either.

We just spent two days/nights at the Book Factory Hostel and could not have been happier. We were a bit worried about the “hostel” in the name, despite all the good reviews, but this is actually a very nice little boutique hotel, very modern and comfortable, with a bit of a hipster vibe. (They do seem to have a dorm room as well, to accommodate pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago.) The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The location is great, very close to the cathedral and the university, and to several museums, and walking distance to about everything else. Lastly, the very cool attached cafe/bar is wonderful - for breakfast/lunch/dinner/coffee/drinks. ||||We would not hesitate to stay there again.

I would highly recommend the Book Factory Hostel to anybody visiting Valladolid. It’s clean, the rooms are spacious and the staff is incredibly helpful.||||Upon arrival, you check in at reception. Everything is handled quickly and you are given a card to access your room. This card will also be the way of powering all the electricity in the room, so that it won’t be wasted when you leave it.||||The rooms are spacious and clean. Each have a small TV with freeview channels. The beds are comfortable and extra pillows and blankets are available upon request. The windows have both an internal and external blind and are double glazed, to ensure the warmth stays within the room and prevents noise entering from outside. There is heating/AC control inside the room.||||All rooms are en-suite and the bathroom has a shower, toilet and basin. Basic toiletries are provided (soap, gel and shampoo), although there is a pharmacy that sells other products just across the street if you need anything else. There are also two supermarkets just around the corner.||||Next to reception there is a book exchange point, with free books, and a cafeteria providing food and drink until quite late at night. I was also allowed to order food to the hotel.||||The Hotel is very well located, close to the town centre and only a few minutes walk away from most of the monuments and attractions.

I stayed for one night at the Book Factory Hostal. The check-in was very helpful and friendly and the receptionist pointed out a few things very worth seeing showing the photos in a guide book which was then given to me.|| ||The room was clean, modern and light with a double bed and a nice modern bathroom. ||||I had a nice breakfast in the restaurant, coffee shop and there was a good selection available which is made to order.||||The Hostal is in a good location and makes for a good base in Valladolid.

Free parking 5 minutes away near the university is a bonus as almost the whole central part of the city i "blue" (pay).||Must be a fairly new hotel - or newly renovated - as it looks quite new. Very patient and helpful front desk staff. Room were surprisingly big. Only little minus as a moldy smell on the bathroom. After the shower I would see that the shower cabin is not tight, why waters runs out on the floor. This could be the reason for the smell....||Breakfast is very basic and very cheap.||I would come again....
